Shadowgun War Games - one day after release. Tell me your thoughts

    Posted: 13 Feb 2020 06:07 AM PST

Well, what a game I guess. Only 5 heroes so far and 2 modes, if they can add more things and a jump and crouch functionality, I might get back to the game.

As someone said here, pretty mediocre so far

Games with a large woerld map.

    Posted: 13 Feb 2020 11:29 AM PST

I saw a video recently on YouTube that compared malaise of various video games. This led me to wonder what abattoirs games have large world maps. Doesn't even have to be open world.

Xbox 360 controller on Redmi Note 7

    Posted: 13 Feb 2020 11:20 AM PST

I tried using the wired 360 gamepad and it just blinks, seemingly the phone doesn't have the proper drivers for the controller (another old cheap generic PC gamepad works though), which maybe could be installed by dropping some files in the system directory but you need root for that, and then some apps won't work until you unroot which can only be achieved by performing a factory reset aaaaand back to square one.

Anyway, to the point: is there any app that provides support for this gamepad? Something I can actually install without unlocking the bootloader, rooting, flashing custom roms or doing black magic.

    Thanks.

Dungeon Reels - Slay the Spire but with a slot machine

    Posted: 12 Feb 2020 08:04 PM PST

Stumbled on this in the Play store recently and I'm very impressed by it. Basically, you start off with basic "reels" for your slot machine and every turn, you spin it to see what you can do. If you get swords, you hit stuff, shields block, but if you hit a Jackpot, 3 in a row, you get an extra effect as well. As you beat enemies, you will be able to add new reels with different effects, like poison, burning, time warp, etc.

If this all sounds familiar, it's because it looks and plays like an 8bit Slay the Spire, but with a slot machine determining what you do each turn. The map is even very similar, with random encounters, mystery rooms, rest stops, and all ending with a challenging boss.

It's very fun and the in-app purchases remove some ads or give you gems, which you use to unlock more reels into the mix. You can also earn gems by just playing.

    [REQUEST] Scary/Thrilling Room Escape Game

    Posted: 13 Feb 2020 10:14 AM PST

Hey guys, I've been looking for a fun room escape game but I'm trying to find one with plot or ambiance that's scary. I'm really thinking like those olg Newgrounds flash games where your trapped in a room or cell or something and you have to escape and figure out why your there in the first place. I know there's a ton of escape games but a lot of the time the plot is pretty thin or non existent. So I guess the three main things is that it's a room escape game, with scary/thrilling ambiance, and plot.

Think you guys could recommend me something?

Sports Management Sim (or other detailed sim)

    Posted: 12 Feb 2020 06:50 PM PST

Besides FM 2020 Mobile and Motorsports Manager, what are some excellent sports management games out for android? I'd prefer baseball, football, or American football - but I'm pretty open to other things. Heck, maybe not even sports sims. I'm looking for a deep, detailed sim that I can play 10 or 15 minutes at time. I've got some PlayStore credit from opinion surveys that I need to use before long.

[Request] Action RPGs that are more open ended

    Posted: 12 Feb 2020 12:41 PM PST

    Hi everyone,

Are there any open ended action RPGs on android?

By open ended I mean games where you don't have to return to the menu after every mission or dungeon.

I just want a game that will flow naturally so it can be linear just not have short levels - exit to menu - short level, etc.
