Does anyone know if there's a way to use Bluetooth hotspot from Android TV? Posted: 07 Jan 2020 03:23 AM PST I'm staying in a hotel for the week and the WiFi will only let 2 devices connect, my phone is Registered and my Nvidia shield TV is also registered, I am using Bluetooth hotspot from my phone to give my girlfriend internet aswel. I've got work for the next few days and she will be here by herself is there a way I can Bluetooth hotspot to my girlfriends phone from my Nvidia shield TV? I know this would work with custom firmware but I have stock firmware non-rooted and really don't want to install a custom firmware. Is this possible? [link] [comments]

Mi Box S and HDR playback on Google Play Movies and YouTube. Posted: 07 Jan 2020 12:16 AM PST So I was made to understand that Google does not support HDR playback on the Mi Box S despite the box supporting VP9 Profile 2, hence me never getting HDR playback on any of my Movies played on Play Movies and YouTube. I lived with that... watching all my 4K Movies in just 4K and no HDR. I just decided to watch John Wick 3 today and it played in 4K and HDR (brighter screen and beautiful). Basically all 3 of the John Wick movies (out of my 70 Movie Digital collection) play in 4K and HDR on Play Movies but not YouTube. So what is happening here? If Google doesn't support the HDR on Mi Box S; Why are the John Wick Movies playing in HDR.... especially on Google Play Movies? Also why not YouTube since they from same company? What's so special about John Wick Movies that allow them to paly in HDR....that the other 67 movies don't have? A little confused here about all these support and licencing, any info will be greatly appreciated. [link] [comments]
How do I set the time on the physical console? Posted: 06 Jan 2020 08:25 PM PST I bought an android TV device and it has a clock on the console that I can't seem to set. The time is correct but it's in military time. All the settings for time are related to the OS. So, how do I set the clock on the console? [link] [comments]
Posted: 06 Jan 2020 09:28 AM PST I have 2 mi box 3's (MDZ-16-AB) one is bricked, one is not, I found a lot of guides using flash drives and going back to an earlier version, is there another option? if not, which tutorial is actually working and the best? for the second one, I just downloaded a bunch of games on retroarch and looking for a controller to play, I have a Xbox 360 wireless adapter for PC, and I'm wondering if it'll work without drivers? (It needs drivers on windows to work.) also last time my pal was over we tried connecting the Xbox one S controller wireless and it did not work (it did detect it on Bluetooth, just didn't pair up), it did work wired though, which wont do it because my couch is pretty far from the box and I don't have a long enough micro usb cable... Thanks. [link] [comments]
