I have this strange behavior when I'm e.g: browsing reddit on Wi-Fi and it's really super slow when loading pictures, gifs, videos, etc. same applies on other places: Twitter, Instagram, etc. however for some reason download based content (YouTube, pornhub) works perfectly fine. This issue is also not present when I use my phone network or when I connect to a VPN. Additional details:

| Posted: 11 Jan 2020 06:42 AM PST Inside the log files, I see things like "LocaleTracker: getCellInfo: cell info=[]" and then in the next line, there is "LocaleTracker: Can't get cell info. Try again in 2 secs." and the line after that is "LocaleTracker: updateLocale: mcc = null, country =" Those are just some things found in one file. A month or 2 ago, I woke up to find all my preloaded apps had been updated, despite the fact i had turned off auto updates in both galaxy apps and google play. (Samsung notes, Samsung internet, Microsoft excel, etc.) I downgraded them and thought that would be the end of it, but, the next morning, they were updated again. | "App not installed" error when trying to install an APK from an unknown source Posted: 11 Jan 2020 11:30 AM PST Android Pie, Xperia XZ Premium, all updates installed Tried disabling Play Protect, force stopping Play Store, deleting Play Store and Play Store Services cache and restarting the phonen after that. Still get the same error. Also tried disabling Play Store's and Play Store Services' permissions to change system settings and display over other apps, but still nothing. Am I missing something? I did also enable installations from Chrome in Settings > Applications > Advanced I tried installing multiple APKs from multiple sources of that same app but to no avail. [link] [comments] |

Whenever I connect my phone to my car via audio cable (I have a Huawei P20 Pro, so I have to use an adapter) the Contacts open at an interval of maybe 5 minutes and I have to close them via voice command since I'm driving and obviously can't use my hands. I have my service through straight talk and version as the carrier. I've the last couple months when I text someone they will receive texts from my current number and my OLD number. They switch back and forth. The person that had my old number would not receive them but when my friends would text back to the old number the new owner would receive them and I would not. Ive called strait talk and they have no clue. I've tried updating Google accounts with correct numbers and checked settings. I sent something to my brother this morning and it came from the old number. He replied and let me know. I immediately replied back and it came from my current number.... He's not the only one. How can I uninstall the newest system update? I don't intend to lose my files or app data; I just need to remove the most update. | Galaxy S7 Suddenly Not Certified Posted: 11 Jan 2020 06:31 AM PST I was going through my Play Store settings earlier and saw that apparently my S7 is not Play Protect Certified anymore. It definitely used to be up until atleast about a week ago. The bootloader is not unlocked and I am running the stock firmware. So Android 8 with the December security patch. | Posted: 11 Jan 2020 05:48 AM PST I have the M30s Samsung phone When I load up youtube/reddit And scroll down I get pretty noticeable choppiness that makes the scrolling not look smooth at all. I have noticed that the long the app is running the less this is a problem. On reddit this seems to be solved by installing a 3rd party reddit app (Although I really dont like their design) I cant seem to find a fix for youtube (I dont really want to use a 3rd party app) This only really seems to effect these apps. Things I have tried - Install Reddit from A fresh install of android - try YouTube from a fresh install of android - Clear cache and data from Reddit/YouTube -switching from dark/white theme Im on android 9.0 and have downloaded all the updates I can get here is more info about my device (Mine is 4gb) https://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_galaxy_m30s-9818.php When benchmarked It performs similar to the pixel 3a I used to have a pixel 2 (not much more powerful) and I had non of these problems [link] [comments] |

My phone was on my bed and was charging near my laptop. My Smart Assistance is off because I don't know how to use it or need to use it. My Alexa is not connected with my contacts. My Bluetooth was off. I was only using Instagram and Facebook before I let my phone to charge, placing it near me. I went to the washroom and came back hearing something ringing. At first, I thought it was from the movie. I checked it wasn't. Then, I heard it coming from my phone. I opened it and saw my phone calling one of my contact whom I've never communicated with for a long time. There was no reason for me to call the person. My speed dial has only one which is my bestfriend and her name is far from the person being called. Idk how it happened. I didn't touch my phone for good few minutes before I left to the washroom. | Posted: 11 Jan 2020 04:40 AM PST So i set up Google pay on my new Note 10+ and when i put it up to pay it does nothing. It worked fine on all my other phones. It's all set up and ready use. I have tried different cards as well. nfc is on and google pay is set as my main payment. Does this Android Beam being enabled have anything to do with it ? Maybe the magnet on the back of my phone ? My samsung cloud wasnt activate so i can't get them back from this. I have tried to plug it with usb to my pc but the problem is that i never activated the usb debugging before because i didn't know about this function before in the past or i would have done it for sure. My question is how can get back my photos please without paying for repair this screen ? I heard about an adaptator USB C Hub, USB C HDMI Adapter 6 in 1 Type C Hub where you can plug your phone, your hdmi cable from tv and a mouse from a pc to use your phone on the tv screen and you dont need apparently anything else to use it. Ever since Voice match was introduced, I don't understand how to properly set up OK Google. First of all, Google Assistant settings that were available through the system settings menu are no longer available, Assistant's settings can now only be changed from inside the app, which I also had to download. The main issue is Voice Match. It seems that now I only have two options: - Make assistant appear wheber I say "OK Google" even when the phone is locked (which is horrible and results in multiple incorrect activations) - Let it only react to my voice after the application had been manually started (which completely beats the purpose) How do I make it react to my voice on ANY screen but only when my phone is UNLOCKED?
