Apps with Support for Live Channels Posted: 16 Dec 2019 10:02 PM PST Foe those of you who are tired of switching between apps to watch live TV, I've been trying recently to compile a list of compatible Live Channels apps for AndroidTV users, here is what I have so far: Pluto TV Red Bull TV LocalBTD (Only in Phoenix, Philadelphia, San Francisco) Haystack TV The Weather Network (Haven't been able to get this one to work, app recognizes it but fails to add. Seems like the Live Channels support is currently broken) Please let me know if I missed any channels. Has anyone heard anything about whether or not Locast will get Live Channels support? Locast is by far the number 1 app I wish had Live Channels support. [link] [comments] |
Nvidia Shield won't download apps Posted: 16 Dec 2019 07:46 PM PST Has anyone had this problem? I did a factory reset on the device twice and every time I try to download an app from the Play Store, it just cycles on 'downloading' and eventually just errors out. Tried LAN, 2.4 and 5.0 networks all with the same results. I'm losing my mind! [link] [comments] |
Android TV Device + Soundbar Recommendations Posted: 16 Dec 2019 04:48 PM PST I'm looking to buy an Android TV device and a new soundbar. Ideally I want just one remote to manage Android TV, power the tv off/on and change the volume on the soundbar. My tv supports CEC and I'm leaning toward the Nvidia shield tv. I'm curious, what do other people with similar requirements use? I'd like to keep the total cost for both devices under $450 total. [link] [comments] |
Adding USB storage to Sony android tv Posted: 16 Dec 2019 06:19 PM PST Hi everyone. I have a Sony android tv that has only 8GB of internal storage and I really wanted to upgrade this. Saw some videos on YouTube about people using USB sticks to add storage to their android tv and decided to try it. The tv recognized the USB stick, I formatted it to use as internal storage and clicked into move data to the drive but it only moved 17mb. I also tried to move individual apps with no success. Have anyone managed to do this successfully? If yes, any tips? Is there any way to deal with the lack of storage in my device? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 17 Dec 2019 05:36 AM PST I have the new Nvidia shield pro and for some reason the GPM app is super basic. It basically has my recent songs and the songs I've uploaded and that's it. No top albums or songs. No new music. No recommendations. Anyone know what's up and if there's an alternative? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 16 Dec 2019 05:55 PM PST Not sure anyone has faced this before. Disney+ will open the app, and when you click into any movie or TV show it won't have a play button or any details, just a background image? Also, is it just me, or is the TCL play store pretty empty? [link] [comments] |
High bitrate .mp4 single layer dolby vision files and ability to zoom? Posted: 16 Dec 2019 11:55 AM PST Sorry if this is the wrong sub but i dont really know where else to ask. So ive been googling and trying since this summer, and our family have "odd needes" if you would, maybe someone can help me with ideas of what to try/get? I want to: - Play high bitrate UHD backup rips WITH dolby vision. Either converted to mp4 or by any means tbh. Ive tried: - Various apps on AppleTV4K, Infuse is gold standard, but ofcourse ATV4k and my Sony has some weird bug going on so DV is dim and bad PQ, a fix for that might take forever... Like i said above, Kodi implementing single layer dolby vision mp4 files would be the dream, but god knows if that ever happends, i asked several times but i dont really get an answer Please help me with "happy wife happy life" :D [link] [comments] |
