I've heard earlier that the Pixel uses some combination of Google Product Sans and Roboto, is this true? Any way to get this combination of fonts as a ttf and installing via Wings maybe? | How to turn in USB debugging with a broken screen? Posted: 25 Dec 2019 07:43 AM PST Both the screen display and touch stopped working on my phone and USB debugging was not turned on. Is there any way to turn USB debugging on in the phone and then use an app like Vysor to log into the device and get the data off of it? All the ways I've found when searching involve needing the display to still work and using a mouse or using the touchscreen. Developer Options have been enabled, but debugging wasn't turned on. | "lower keyboard" button on Android Posted: 25 Dec 2019 05:09 AM PST Hey, so I have a note 10 plus and I just updated it to Android 10. Since the update, I now have a little padding area at the bottom of my keyboard with a "down arrow" at the bottom right corner, which hides the keyboard. I scoured through the keyboard settings on Android and on SwiftKey (the keyboard I use) and can not find any way to remove this padding.. Anyone know how to Remove it? Thanks [link] [comments] |

| Posted: 25 Dec 2019 04:16 AM PST Hello everyone, I currently have a OnePlus 5 with its latest version of OxygenOS (namely 9.0.9, so Android 9). A while ago I got the dark mode update of the Play Store and was able to use it inside the GMail app as well. But someday it just clicked and disappeared. No dark mode, no settings for it, just plain white. To top it all off, whenever I connected my phone to Android Auto and it hit the night view switch, I instantly got the dark mode back. But only for as a long as I had it connected to Android Auto. So it's definetly installed and available, just somehow hidden. Did anyone else experience that kind of behaviour? | Charge speed and battery health Posted: 25 Dec 2019 08:26 AM PST I just got an S10+ and I've been using my old Samsung charger on it. The charger is rated at 5V 1A, and I typically charge overnight, once every 2-3 days (woot S10+ battery life!). I know that charging speed has gotten way faster over the past few years, but I've been a bit reluctant to use the new fast chargers that typically ship with new phones. I'm curious, does slow charging hurt a phone's battery? I also heard that leaving it plugged in after a phone's done charging might not be good. Is that true? Thanks in advance and Merry Christmas! Do note that after setting up phone with her Sim, a text message that said "looks like your phones internet /mms wasn't set up correctly we sent setting to phone. Within the configuration of messages I installed the two settings but still nothing. | Can I stop devices from connecting to an apps server? Posted: 25 Dec 2019 12:05 PM PST I want to make it so that when connected to our Internet someone cannot play on last shelter survival, they spend all their money and time on this game and have an addiction that I wish to stop. Is there a way I can stop data from the server reaching devices on my Internet, simply uninstalling the game will not work and they have multiple devices I want to stop them playing on. | Posted: 25 Dec 2019 11:55 AM PST I have an honor 7x (bnd l24) and I'm currently on omnirom 9, I read somewhere that you must have a custom recovery to flash a custom rom but I haven't installed twrp or anything of that sort. I'm trying to return to my stock rom (emui 8). I'm just asking for clarification what I need to do once I have the zip file of the stock rom. | Can Android use my dataplan when mobile data is off? Posted: 25 Dec 2019 11:05 AM PST Hey Android community! I was in the US for 2 months and turned data off before getting there, but my phone bill has a record of 5-15 instances of data usage every day for a super tiny amount, between 0 and 10 KB. It's small, but over 2 months and a plan not intended for international data, that does add up. I've tried looking at the app usage for my mobile data on the phone, but it is very rigidly set up. It can only show 1 month periods, I just pick the start day of month for that period. It does look like I can see a TINY increase of data use over time, but to really narrow it down, I need to look at a period of time where I was only in the States. But when I do, the data period doesn't even show up! It seems that if I don't include a date before or after I went to the State, I can't get to look at the app usage... Is this normal behavior, anyone got any suggestions? I want to provide proof for my carrier that I didn't use any data so I can get my money back. Thank you [link] [comments] |

Posted: 25 Dec 2019 10:46 AM PST Yesterday I gave my phone (Samsung A8) to my dad and apparently he was messing around with it trying to get wifi to work (shouldn't be a problem, but you know... old people...). I have no idea what he did (he doesn't remember...) but now I have big issues running apps. Several apps immediately stop working upon starting them. The weird thing is that some apps work while others do not. Examples are as follows. Working: Google maps Google drive Bumble Reddit Discord WhatsApp (though all peoples names have been replaced by their phonenumbers, contacts are still in my phone though) Not working: Gmail Google (and widget) Reddit is fun Yahoo mail OKCupid BBC Sport Wikipedia I first thought it was my google account, but then drive still works. Also the chrome browser works, and if I logon to gmail through there it's fine (dont need to refill account details and stuff). My google account is also recognized in chrome just fine. Also Apps that dont use google accounts are broken. I have tried reboots, clearing data/caches, reinstalling apps, safemode, clear the cache partition, recovering from backup, System issue to date, resynced google accounts. The problem keeps persisting. Some other things: I'll get warnings about battery usage of apps that stopped working. After using an app and it stops working, the popup for it not working appears again periodically. Anyone have a clue what it can be and how it can be fixed? Or is a factory reset the last hope? I open Play store, click "My Apps and Games" then "Library." I see a huge list (2500+) apps that I've had previously installed. All I want 2 do is lock/unlock my Phone or power it off and bam, the Camera opens. When I Googled Camera opens whenever I hit the Power Button, all that came up was how 2 set ur Phone to do that but nothing about it doing it on it's own. I can't find anything in any of the Display or Camera Settings for it 2 do that and I've looked everywhere else including obscure places. It's annoying af. This is a bit counterintuitive for me as I expect the most recent photo to be on the right-most side; as in reading from left to right. Pretty much, the settings for my notification sound are very straightforward. I can set a default notification sound and app-specific ones. However, the only ones I can choose are default options from the android. There's no "select audio file" option or anything. I really want to make the sound an audio file I have. No clue what to do about it though. Will it maybe work to just change my ringtone? Is there an app I can get to change the sound? Or do I just have to deal with it? I have a Samsung Galaxy J3 Emerge, if that helps. Also, I've never posted in this sub before, so sorry if I'm doing something wrong. Found this while searching for a sub to help me. The video stays active on my phone but otherwise it's just a normal voice call. I cannot get Duo to send a video call. I've tried revoking phone permissions but that didn't work. Nothing I do seems to get Duo to make a video call to an iPhone user. Any ideas on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated. | [Help] Oneplus 7T Qualcomm CrashDump Mode Posted: 25 Dec 2019 08:02 AM PST Today I flashed the newest OOS 10.0.3. After I had flashed it+TWRP through Magisk and rebooted, Vanced Youtube was not able to be installed correctly. I have fixed this earlier by uninstalling the Youtube app through a root-uninstaller app. Then flash Vanced in Magisk, and reboot. After doing this, my phone would only bootloop into TWRP/Fastboot. So I tried to boot into TWRP, flash OOS 10.0.3, TWRP then Magisk, in TWRP, but no success. The phone would just bootloop. So I tried my final attempt without having to wipe the whole phone - Flash an old backup (I think it was from October, probably OOS 10.0.1). After doing a full recovery in TWRP with the old backup, my phone boots into Qualcomm CrashDump Mode with a message displaying QUALCOMM CRASHDUMP MODE
By holding power+volume up for 10 seconds, my phone reboots displaying the warning message about my phone's bootloader being unlocked, then shows the quoted message above. Could anyone please help me fix this? --- Update: So after trying to reboot for 15+ times, my phone somehow booted into TWRP. What would be the best step now? Wipe all, flash OOS 10.0.3, Flash TWRP and Flash Magisk? [link] [comments] |

By now, wich light ressource launchers do you recommend me. What are the best low ressources launcher with icons apps and I know theres some only with text Im open to them too.
