Live TV Emulation with Own Videos? Posted: 20 Nov 2019 06:28 AM PST Hello, I am not sure if this is the right subreddit for this but maybe it can be crossposted to other suitable subreddits later. What I am looking for is to create a live TV-like experience for my users with my own videos. Is this possible somehow? I know Android TV has a TV Input Framework but no idea if that can do this? I speculate the machine would have to be quite strong for it to have multiple videos running at all times... Or maybe there is some other way? Thanks for reading and for any help. Posted: 20 Nov 2019 03:28 AM PST Hi All, I've been looking to get a small TV in the bedroom and wanted to see what the best option is to get android on it. I looked at an android powered tv, bu they are all a bit too big for what I need. I looked at the FireTV stick and Shield stick, but they both require an additional power supply. Where I'm looking to put the TV there are no sockets and I want to minimise the amount of cabling. Is there a better option I'm missing? [link] [comments]

Anyone know why my MiBox volume gets set to like 30% every night? Posted: 19 Nov 2019 04:24 PM PST I don't have any routines for it or anything on Assistant/Home. This problem does not happen with my ShieldTV but somehow every time I try my MiBox it's volume has been set real low. [link] [comments]
Rollback to oreo from pie for Mi Box S users Posted: 19 Nov 2019 07:39 PM PST A user found a way to rollback to Android Oreo from Android Pie for Mi Box S users. Many users like me are searching for a way to rollback to Oreo until a stable release of pie is not released. So finally now we can rollback. It requires a pc though. [link] [comments]
Posted: 19 Nov 2019 02:42 PM PST I have an NVIDIA SHIELD TV (2017) running v8.0.1(32.5.205.75). I'm in the UK if that makes a difference. I'm in the process of setting up a VPN on it using OpenVPN for Android. I'd like to enable a kill switch, and as such am looking for the VPN settings (per here). (I'm aware this guide is aimed at Android phones and tablets rather than Android TV, but I was hoping to find similar settings on the SHIELD.) My VPN provider is Mullvad. If these settings aren't an option on the NVIDIA SHIELD TV, I'd really appreciate if someone could link a more relevant guide to enabling the kill switch on the NVIDIA SHIELD TV. Thanks in advance! Posted: 19 Nov 2019 11:35 AM PST Looking for a bluetooth android TV remote that has a IR blaster. For my setup, the CEC functions are too inconsistent and ARC isn't working properly, so I am down to using two controllers: my mi box s remote and the soundbar remote. I would like a remote to control them both (or duck tape them together, lol). I searched and see a lot of people use Wechip, but I would prefer one with bluetooth for the android TV and then IR for the soundbar. I found this one: Wanted to ask has anyone used this, and/or found anything better? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! [link] [comments] |
