Turning off Philips TV with Google Assistant Posted: 22 May 2022 12:03 AM PDT After 3 years of owning two Philips TVs I was finally able to turn it off just with the voice. No update, no apps update. It just worked.. for a week or so. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 22 May 2022 12:39 AM PDT Looking for simple streamer for my office TV, at the moment not even 4K (But will be one day I guess) No AV system, just TV speakers. I need Netflix/Tivimate/Kodi. I've read about those:
What Should I go with ? option 1 seems reasonable. Any addition that I've missed ? [link] [comments] |

Looking to replace my xiaomi mibox s Posted: 22 May 2022 03:22 AM PDT Hey, I'm currently using mibox s and wanted change to better box, With better wifi performance and stronger processor, i searched little bit and saw the mecool km2 but I heard that software updates are very rare with this company, on the other hand i really liked the remote and the price of it. Any experience on the box? Or other options? Ty. 🙏🏼 [link] [comments] |

Using Android phone as remote for Google TV Posted: 21 May 2022 09:43 AM PDT TL:dr Google hardware should be easier to set up I was setting up a new Google TV dongle and couldn't figure out why it wasn't showing up on my phone to use the phone as a remote. I checked to see if there were any updates available but it was up to date. I found a few articles talking about how you have to check the version of the TV Remote app on the dongle (hidden in system apps) and if it's lower than 5.x version you need to update. My device, even though it said it was up to date, was on 4.x. I had to go into the play store on my phone, find the app, and install it on the device that way. If Google wants "regular" people to buy their hardware, they REALLY need to concentrate on making things work without having to do so much troubleshooting and jumping through hoops [link] [comments] |
Posted: 21 May 2022 11:47 AM PDT I can't figure out why my AV input doesn't work. I've been trying to figure it out for an hour now, any suggestions would be great. Thank you. [link] [comments] |
Don't want a Shield. What Android box has the best web surfing performance? Budget: approx. $60. Posted: 21 May 2022 04:41 PM PDT What CPU/GPU combo should I look for, and which browser should I use for best browsing performance? It's got to have a couple of USB ports so I can use external hard drives. Currently have an Android 9 X88 PRO X3 Amlogic S905X3 with 4GB RAM and 64GB ROM I got off Banggood, and the web browsing is almost unusable, very slow. It's capable of playing 4k video just fine, so the poor browser performance puzzles me, no matter which browser I try - Brave, Chrome, Kiwi, Firefox. Thanks for any advice! [link] [comments] |
