How do you search for games with no in-app purchases or adds?

    Posted: 21 Apr 2022 12:08 PM PDT

Used to be able to do so using filters, but it seems like google has removed that option? Or at least, if they haven't, I can't seem to find where it's located in the app. If they haven't removed it in the latest update, then hopefully someone can point me to the right location to access the option. Otherwise, I'm wondering how other people search the play store for games that don't have micro-transactions or adds?

Issues I face often when playing mobile games

    Posted: 21 Apr 2022 06:53 AM PDT

Hi everyone, i play quite a variety of games on phone, but more often the resource demanding games such as CoD BR mode, PUBGMobile and such.

Thought I'll share some of the problems that really annoy me a hell lot.

    • Heating issues: Good lord even though the phone promises a very smooth performance and multitasking and whatnot, it fails not to heat up within 40-45 mins of playing a heavy game. And it's not just games, this issue has rubbed itself off on other apps to, be it Google meets, opening the camera for a bit will also heat it.

    • The 'im gamer hehe' phony look: I dont wanna appear odd with a phone in the crowd that, first of all, can't even provide an hour of chill gaming session, secondly has all these geeky stuff added to with the outer appearance to make it look like a very futuristic gadget. Feels as if it's just meant to be kept at home.

    • Charging: Fast Charging, but no so much fast is it. 67W is nice but only if it doesn't prove to be detrimental in the long run with already prevailing heating issue.

    • Stuttering and hanging: Smooth is not smooth when even after closing the game, the performance dip is still in effect. Last night, i had to tap on a call 5 times to receive because it happened when i was playing a game and hanged. Even after closing the game, the phone kept stuttering.

So these are basically the issues I'm facing at the moment. Kinda wanna buy a new gaming phone at this point, one that actually delivers in the long run. I'm thinking about the POCO F4 GT which launches next week. My budget is around 800 EURO. This specific device seems to be resolving most of the issues I mentioned. Im not sure what to buy yet so let me know your suggestions.

Also, if there's more things i should consider before buying a new gaming phone, pls let me know.

    Posted: 21 Apr 2022 01:13 PM PDT

Ok, there's gotta be someone that played this. Its a choice game where you go to an anime con or movie con or something like that and ur fav cosplayer (?) talks to u and then I think u touch a poster and it teleports you into some fantasy world and there's some girl what happened Then some guys come and the girl tells me to pick one (one dude, second dude and the girl) and one guy that has long hair is like 'why' and the other one (i dont remember how he looks like) is like 'dont go with him he's an arse' and when u pick the long haired dude u go into some shady barn and he talks to yo usuch and such and then u go into 'training' which is just him and you on a street tryna catch someone and then some woman comes ghats like his mortal enemy or something

Thats pretty much it Asking here cuz I can't find it in my undownloaded apps

Help me find a game I played years ago

    Posted: 21 Apr 2022 02:52 AM PDT

I couldn't find a better flair but I do hope this kind of post is aloud.

It was a singleplayer third person shooter that was probably set in the 1910s since I vaguely remember the soldiers using muskets. You fight in battles where two opposing battalions fought. You're able to switch between your troops and fight as them.

I played this a long time ago so I apologize if some of what I've said is inaccurate or lacking.

    Redmagic or Blackshark?

    Posted: 21 Apr 2022 09:46 AM PDT

These are the only two phones I could find that have triggers, 144hz+ display, and some kind of disgusting RGB that I can't seem to live without anymore. Aside from the ROG Phone 5S, but it's like twice the price in Canada.

My only requirements are Nova Launcher and Gestures instead of the Navbar.

Which of these phones has both of those abilities? The ROG Phone can do both, but, again, it's like twice the price. Redmagic or Blackshark are my ideal options if they can use nova and gestures at the same time.

Anyone have either of these and want to test it out?

    POLYWAR has some problems.

    Posted: 21 Apr 2022 03:38 AM PDT

Polywar is created by the same dev as Kuboom, and Kuboom in my opinion is a terrible game.

NOBODYSHOT learned from his mistakes and created Polywar a much better game.

(Polywar is in beta, what I'm about write down is subject to change)

    1. Hacking: When I searched Polywar on YouTube I saw beta tests, skins and most importantly hacking and mods. These YouTubers are promoting hacking in the game which will destroy the game. I run in on a few hackers most of them dashing or teleporting, maybe it's just my connection but who knows.

    2. No ranked play: This is probably the most important mode in the game (I know the game is still in beta but hear me out). The game needs rank mode asap because match making is a bit of a mess and some rewards for end of season which bring us to.

    3. Reward famine: there isn't much rewards in the game making the game feel dry.

    4. More customisable controls: A left shoot button instead of a shooting zone will be much better and maybe add some crouching and other movement.

    5. Modes: Currently their is training, team deathmatch, gun game and duel, zombie game modes would really be cool like zombie survival or escape. And the game is a mix between COD and CS, game modes from those 2 games would be really nice.

    6. Stickers: Their is skins and trinkets but no stickers, stickers is the only gun cosmetic missing.

    7. More details in the maps: In Guns of Boom and other FPS games, the detail in the maps look nice, in Polywar the maps are bland especially the city map.

    8. The UI/home screen is boring: kinda like the old Valorant UI it's boring.

    9. The rewards system is just like Kuboom: When you finish a match you get 1 or 3 rewards/cards, 1 for playing a match, 2 for winning the match and 3 for reaching 1st place in the leader board. I don't like the system, maybe keep them but as bonus rewards, you get base rewards for your performance and the cards as bonus rewards.

    10. The amount of hitpoints is too high: Everybody in this game are tanks, kinda like Modern Combat Versus you need an entire magazine to kill them.

    11. There's a finite number of grenades: If you need grenades you need to watch ads, if you run out of a specific grenade use a different grenade. There is only 1 lethal grenade and 2 tactical grenades.

    12. You only have 1 grenade: If you only use a grenade once you have to die in order to replenish it. Due to problem 10 you need grenades, lots of them.

    13. When you kill a player there is a delay: Once their HP reaches 0 they don't die immediately, then 1 second passes, poof they're now dead.

Well that's it for now. I may have to edit this in the future, but anyways thanks for reading my post and I hope you have a good day.

    Edit: Added 10-13

    New phone recommendation?

    Posted: 21 Apr 2022 07:18 AM PDT

Trying to find a decent all rounder phone, upgrading from an old Samsung. Trying to find a phone with decent battery life, good camera, good for content creation and good for music. And of course why I'm here is because of casual gaming. My phone can't handle games like Gray raven and Honkai or Genshin, you know what games. Anymore. So good storage and cooling would be cool. Budget? Would try to stay below 1000$ but if it's a little over 1000 it's fine. Budget picks would be good. I would go for Samsung again because I'm comfortable with them but I heard that S21 tends to heat alot so do give me some recomendations. Hears of gaming phones but how do they work with daily activity because I'm trying to get a phone that can work all round too

    Thanks in advance!

[REQUEST] Some games worth trying in 2022

    Posted: 21 Apr 2022 02:38 AM PDT

Hi. I've been playing games like dead cells, COD Mobile, limbo, nfs, kingdom rush, neon valley, this war or mine Do you know some games that are worth buying? I've been looking on google play but not sure what to pick. Either racing game, action (can be shooter but not a must, rpg fine too) or perhaps metroidvania. I will consider any ideas, even if they aren't from those genres.

Cheaters took over Game name Conquerors golden age made by IGG

    Posted: 21 Apr 2022 06:14 AM PDT

    Hello

A big cheating crisis has emerged in the game (Conquerors golden age) made by igg recently. The cheat dates back to 8 months ago, and there are players who have been complaining for months, proving it with screenshots. 3 weeks ago, cheating reached such a level that the in-game gold is unlimited and the opportunity to develop heroes unlimited has been used by many cheat users. IGG management has been ignoring this problem for so long that cheat users have become dominant over those who play the game as it should. Things that can be close to impossible are happening in the game day by day. Players' spending on the game is ignored. There are those who have been playing the game for 6 years and everyone has regretted the game. But IGG doesn't even penalize players who are proven to cheat. There are thousands of victims, I ask you to share the issue.

what are some popular games (e.g. Fortnite) that aren't on the play store and need an external APK?

    Posted: 20 Apr 2022 02:49 PM PDT

Hey. So like the title says, what are some further examples on Android of games that aren't on the Google Play Store and you need an APK to install them?

Aside from Fortnite I'd like to hear of other games.

Can you help me find an old game?

    Posted: 21 Apr 2022 12:55 AM PDT

Hi everyone! I'm looking for an old game (it's been at least 5 years since the last time I played it) I can't find. It's an 2d arcade shooter set in an alien spaceship where the aliens are green octopi and the protagonist (not a human, iirc it's some kind of grey mole) tries to get its pet (a kitten) back from the alien spaceship.

The gameplay is in rounds were hordes of aliens come and you are equipped with various weapons to take them down (I remember at some point there was a flamethrower), and the player perspective is from above.

Does anybody have a clue on the title?

If anybody knows an Android or iOS game that's mobile, paid (atleast 7 dollars) and has a good story tell me. Also I really want to know games with stealth or parkour other than Assassins Creed: Identity since that game bugs out.

EndCycle VS - Mega Man Battle Network inspired roguelike

    Posted: 20 Apr 2022 05:10 PM PDT

Why don't games use a second thumb control on the screens?

    Posted: 20 Apr 2022 11:47 PM PDT

In PUBG Mobile and COD Mobile, you get a thumb control on the left side to move the characters, but the right side is just empty space you have to keep swiping on to move the camera instead of being able to keep it moving with one movement like on a gamepad.

Is there a reason for that?
