    $20 device so this is really no deal breaker but since I haven’t seen anything about it I figured I’d ask. The microphone on my Onn 4k android tv remote never worked. Out of the box never worked. Turned assistant on and granted all permissions. Factory restored. Nothing works. Any ideas?

    Internet issues even if wifi is 2.4ghz band/no band steering?

    A common reason ive read why wifi disconnects here is bravia tvs suck at band steering but my KD43 doesnt even support 5ghz and it still disconnects from wifi randomly. Im not running any mesh/secondary setup just one router. This whole thing started for me 2yrs ago when I updated and before updating, the wifi was never a problem. So either sony shipped a faulty update 2yrs ago and still isnt fixing it or the wifi chip hardware is faulty?

    I've tried all the factory reset, disconnect power for a week, everything mentioned here but wifi issues still persist. Whats happening here? Why isnt sony fixing this WiFi problem or even acknowledging that it exists that every other post is here about? Do they just wana sweep it under the rug like anrtena/bend gate and what not?

    Using the Chromecast with Google TV in an unsupported country

    I ordered the CCwGTV when it was $39 at Walmart. It got delivered a week ago.

    N.B. By "unsupported", I meant that the Google TV/Google Play Movies & TV app isn't available in my country (Bangladesh).

    Couple of things about the accessories:

    • The remote is too tiny. I don't know why I thought it's gonna be slightly bigger.
    • The charging cable is longer than I expected

    Now, coming to the device itself:

    • The setup went smooth
    • Instead of the usual 6 tabs, there are three: "Home" (instead of "For You"), "Apps" & "Library".
    • I don't get the "ads" that's been everyone's main complaint about Google TV 😁
    • System apps gets updated automatically & quickly
    • Both play store & play games are not available as icons. Either I have to do a voice command or open them from settings.
    • WiFi speed & performance is very good (probably because of the improvements for 5Ghz & Mesh Networks added in the April 2021 update)
    • The volume slider definitely needs an improvement.
    • When the assistant is used, a "microphone" icon shows up at the top right corner, indicating microphone is being accessed (that icon is Black on Green in Android 12)

    Issues I faced:

    • There's no way to edit the contents under "Home" tab (like we can do in Android TV home screen). Currently it shows Prime Video, YouTube & Spotify for me (Crunchyroll & ESPN too, if I install them).
    • Pressing & holding the power button doesn't show a "restart" option.
    • Not comfortable with "pressing & holding" the assistant button for it to work. Just pressing (like it's done in Android TV devices) is what I'm used to.
    • Important: Content(s) from wrong Netflix profile may show up in "Continue watching". If the issue persists, link your Netflix account to Google. Source

    TCL Series 4 Google Android Tv Volume Indicator

    I have a sound bar so I don't need the sound on the tv. However, when I have the sound on the TV at zero the volume indicator does not go away. Anyone know how I can get it to go away? I put it at 1 and it goes away, and I set the delay but it seems to fluctuate with each channel and inputs

    X-Plore not letting me delete things from disk map...

    I click disk map and I move to the right or left to explore the folders and delete things but it doesn't allow me to view any of the folders after it scans.

    Is it supposed to let me delete things from disk map or is that just to see the files and not explore and delete from it?

    My Android TV RCA Andy32 doesn't work fine

    Hello, I bought this tv like a year ago butstarted to do this, when you click the button to start the tv, this started and like a seconds or max 3 minutes work properly (lag, but work), and after, the tv suddenly shutdown

    Hulu Picture is dark

    Hi can anyone please help me on Hulu? The Picture is very dark can barely see it. I have restart my modem I have restarted the device. I have bought a new HDMI cable I have tried different ports. I also have a Nvidia shield tv pro 2019 and amazon fire tv cube Second generation when playing anything on Hulu the picture is great this just happens on Chromecast with Google TV. What do you think would be going on. My Samsung 4K Smart TV picture quality is great. Thank you very much for any help on this .

    AppleTV+ X90J

    Just purchased the XR-75X90J yesterday, finally got around to adding all my subscriptions, but I'm having a hard time with AppleTV+. It's stuck in a loop. No matter if I hit sign in from the initial screen or through settings, privacy has Sony Smart services checked. Says it's on the latest firmware and all apps are up to date. What's even worse I can't Airplay, will not connect, have other Sony's in my house no issue( they are Android TV) all other apps working great. Also I just factory reset no luck.. anyone else having/had this issue?

    I have a continuous issue with having Chromecast work on my GoogleTV. The system app keeps updating to the newest version, which then prevents me from casting to GoogleTV. This issue is resolved by going to system app settings and uninstalling all updates. As you might imagine though, it is quite annoying and tedious to do this every few days.

    Is there any way to prevent an app from auto-updating on GoogleTV?

    Problems with sound and 4K

    So I bought a Mecool KM2 and the experience was pretty smooth so far. However, I am having some issues with 4K downloaded movies. For most of the files I play, there are 3 options:

    • No sound at all (VLC, MX Player)

    • Really low stereo sound (VLC, MX Player)

    • Normal sound but lagging every 1-2 seconds (Kodi).

    Is there something I can do to make this work normally as it should? Is there a problem with codecs that I need to avoid?

    EDIT: I have a 5.1 Surround System with an AV Receiver.

    Is there any way I can control my grandmother's android tv from my house?

    She loves the HBO / Showtime / etc.. programming, but she's 92 - as savvy and amazing as she is, it's a lot to expect her to understand moving in and out of apps, use search, subscribe, etc...

    Are there good methods / apps where from my house in another county, I can control her android tv. She doesn't have the hardware yet if that matters.
