    How can Australian TV (Freeview) be added as a source within the Live Channels app on Google TV. I have a Nvdia Shield Pro which I love! I just find it annoying that I need to change the TV source to watch tv channels directly from the antenna. Then I change the source again to go to the Shield to watch streaming services.

    I know I can just download the 7,9 and 10 apps on the Shield however that is just clunky moving between apps on the TV.

    Sony Bravia 4k VH2 can't get BBC iplayer

    Got a new TV. No iplayer app, also can't find anyway to download it. There is no Google play app either. Funny thing is that if I press the red button when on a BBC channel I get an option to open iplayer but it just stays on the loading screen forever. Pretty disappointed so far not a very smart experience, input is slow and laggy as well. Any thoughts? And yeah it's definitely running android before you ask.

    Nest mini can't find TV with Chromecast built in

    Hi All, another day another problem with Nest mini and Android tv connections, ugh seems like everyday something breaks. Now all of a sudden my nest mini can't turn the tv on or off or find it. I was able to to do that and have it open apps and now nothing works though it. Interestingly Google assistant on my phone has no problems connecting to the tv. I restarted both the nest mini and tv with no luck. This was working just a day or 2 ago. Any ideas???

    So I have a 4k android tv, but when checking stats on smarttubenext, The ui resolution shows 1920x1080@60. So is my tv really 2160p or just a 1080p tv with a big screen?

    It's an android smart tv.

    I was visiting a relative in a small town and to thank them for a favour, I decided to get their TV fixed. But the repair people kept talking shit so I got into a fight.

    Now, I wanna know if they can put some trackers in it or any other software thing in it. Or should I not be worried?

    New AndroidTV not bringing up first time setup

    Hi everyone,

    I've just bought an Android TV: Hyundai FLJ43854GMSART Smart Led.

    After assembly, I was able to successfully switch it on, however after a brief android logo.. nothing happens, I can only see a black screen (occasionally, there is a brief all-white screen before the black screen).

    Most of the remote buttons are not working except for the power button, which brings up the prompt to turn the TV off (and actually does so if I choose so).

    Quite interestingly, when I press the Netflix button on the remote, it commands me to finish the first the setup in order to use Netflix (there was never actually a first time setup brought up on the screen though).

    However, when I plugged an ethernet cable to the TV, and connected to the same network via an Android phone, I was actually able to share YouTube from the phone to the TV, and YouTube content was playing on the TV properly (both video and audio), with the remote correctly maneuvering on YouTube.

    More painfully, when I connected a HDMI input to the TV, it didn't acknowledge it - I couldn't select source nor via the remote neither via the android app from phone.

    All in all, it seems like there is only a YouTube app on the TV and literally nothing else - not even the necessary thing to run a first-time setup.

    Could you help me what can be done in this case/how can I force a factory reset or system reinstall on the TV (potentially through the net, as the ethernet connection is working)? Or am I completely in the wrong direction here, and the issue is at somewhere else?

    Edit: After being unable to solve the issue, we returned the TV and went for another model - thanks everyone for the help.

    MECOOL KM2 and Logitech Harmony Hub

    Has anyone been successful in adding the MECOOL KM2 to their Harmony hub? When I go through the process of adding it as a device the Harmony app seems to accept it. But then it won't actually control the box. Although I type in the model number as KM2, after added, it shows up as Kii Pro. When I try to add the device manually, the hub doesn't recognize that I am pressing the power button. I'm wondering if anyone has stumbled across another device profile that can be added to the hub and happens to control this box. I tried all the MECOOL profiles that are in the Harmony app, but none work. I know it's a long shot, but it's really bugging me that I can't get it to work with my "universal" remote. Thank you

    TCL TV stuck on remote control picture on screen

    Hey guys, Recently bought a 65" TCL TV 65C715K and it suddenly showed me that picture when i turn it on. Impossible to access the UI or reset factory. I thought it was an issue with the bluetooth remote control pairing so i bought a new remote control but still, can't pass that screen. Has anyone seen this? Can someone help?

    Soundbar issue on Philips tv

    Hi guys,

    I can't make my soundbar Sony HTS350 work on my Philips tv. The soundbar worked just fine on another tv.

    All connections are done properly through hdmi arc, HDMI Arc is active on tv; easy link is on and all settings are okay. Soundbar is turned on, on 'tv' mode as well as the tv. When I switch to HDMI Audio System from the 'Audio out' settings, I get the following error and tv switched to his own speakers.

    Cannot switch to audio system. Tv speakers active.

    Mibox S Remote Compatibility (XMRM-006) with Sony Google TV

    I have a Mibox S remote (XMRM-006) and wished to pair it with my Sony Bravia Google TV (KD-55X85J). Unfortunately, upon setting it pairing mode by clicking both apps and home button simultaneously nearby the TV, it was not detected.

    Anyone knows if the remote is compatible to use with different Google TV or Android TV devices?

    Brand new tv and remote

    Today I just purchased a new tv, It started fine the remote worked but after a few hours of gaming. The remote stopped working, we tried new batteries turning the tv off which only ended in us not being able to turn it back on. There is a "button" so the manual says but it doesn't click or anything. It's just a transparent plastic which has a light that shines through it. But it says it's supposed to turn it off/on. HELP

    Android Phone to replace Chromecast with Google TV

    As the title suggests, I have a S9+ sitting around which I was using as my portable retro device. At the same time, I have had trouble with the number of apps I can put on the Chromecast. People may have had luck with expanding the storage but not me. Something always messes up or the whole Chromecast just doesn't load.

    I was wondering how to best approach this situation. I know you can't install the Google TV launcher on Android phones (I have tried). I see Kodi touted as a possibility but can it be a launcher with access to all my streaming apps data too?

    google tv taking SOO much internet

    so sometimes when my parents watch netflix or other streaming services with our chromecast google tv, it takes up to 60 mbps and me and my sisters seem to notice lag when they watch it. We have 200mbps download speed. is there anything i can do to make it take less internet?

    YouTube playback bug

    Ever since they put in video thumbnails, I found that if I play the video before the thumbnail starts playing, YouTube will only play the section of the video meant for the thumbnail and even skip ads, then end the video after about 30 seconds. It's really annoying, anyone know a workaround?

    Walmart / ONN UHD 4K Streaming Box - Not Saving WiFi Passwords with WPA3 APs?

    I was trying to figure out why my ONN UHD streaming box was not saving my WiFi password after restarts and/or hard power cycles and after switching to another AP.

    I finally figured out that with WPA3 with WPA2 fallback activated on my openWRT 21.02 AP it would not save my WiFi password, but if I changed the security to WPA2 with WPA fallback, the ONN device saved the WiFi password.

    Also the ONN device would always take a quite a while to connect to and sometimes do a soft reboot when trying to connect to the AP with WPA3 enabled.

    Any one else have this issue with connecting to WiFi AP's running OpenWRT 21.02 with WPA3 with WPA2 fallback enabled?

    I tried to call onn support to get the issue put on their feedback list, but got a script reading non-native English speaker that could not grasp what I was trying to do. After much frustration, he gave me a phone number that he assured me had people that could log my issue: he gave me the number to Handy partners for Walmart that help to install flatscreen TV's in people's homes. :-( Walmart service FTW!

    Shield pro 2019, Netflix only plays DolbyVision sometimes

    Sorry if this isn't the right sub to ask this. I googled a ton and couldn't seem to find the exact same scenario, and I'm posting in a few related subs to find answers.

    I have an LG CX, shield pro 2019, all running through a Sony STR-DH790 AVR, all connected with 48 Gbps HDMI 2.1 cables. The shield is on a very strong 5 Ghhz wifi band. I was watching The Witcher season 1 earlier today on the shield Netflix app, and DolbyVision engaged appropriately. I went away for a couple of hours, came back, started to watch season 2, and I'm no longer getting DV. I do get the "VISION-ATMOS" logo on the show screen in Netflix, but it just doesn't switch on now. Even going back to season 1 doesn't engage it.

    By all accounts, I assume my configuration is correct since it was working earlier. I do have DV enabled on the shield, and my current resolution says "DolbyVision and HDR ready". My DV content on plex works correctly. So I'm not sure what's going on here. Any help is appreciated!

    Will an Android box make my TCL android tv run faster?

    I need some advice on whether it's worth buying an Android box for the purpose of making my existing TCL android tv run faster, and boot faster.

    There is a lot of advice and recommendations on the performance and user interface upgrade one gets by plugging in an Android box on any tv (this i get). But I am concerned whether the original TV boot up time is also reduced by the new box? Does my smart TV boot up as usual and then the android box comes in to picture ? I am a bit confused with this and would really appreciate some tips whether it would be worth buying an Android box for this or not. Currently my TCL tv takes around a 45sec to a min to boot up.

    (I have already tried the tips to make my TCL tv boot faster with instant on and cleaning cache etc..doesn't do much)

    QLED TCL Google tv & sleep timer

    Hey guys I have a 55s546 and I'm having trouble figuring out a easier way to get to the sleep timer then going all the way through the settings and selecting the timer that way. I should have researched the tv before I bought it on Black Friday. It is a good tv but that part is bugging me. I have a routine I do every night before bed because of my insomnia and it involves the tv turning off after 30 minutes. It would be awesome if I was able to get it to the settings overlay and not have to dig all the way in.
