Mi P1 40" Android TV > Sony Home cinema 5.1 AV receiver

    Posted: 23 Nov 2021 02:37 PM PST

    Hey,

I've replaced my good old Samsung, which was not a smart tv with a Xiaomi P1 Smart TV. It's my first smart TV.

I always used the Samsung TV with a Chromecast which was connected to the AV receiver and the AV receiver to the Samsung TV.

Now I have the problem that no matter where or what I connect I can't get the sounds from the TV to the AV receiver.

I am using the ARC HDMI port.

    The receiver is a STR-KS1300.

Does anyone have some tips for me I could try?

Xiaomi MI LED TV 4S color error?

    Posted: 23 Nov 2021 10:21 AM PST

    Hi Everyone,

My TV which is a Xiaomi MI LED TV 4S 43 ELA4378GL started to behave strange.

A few days ago during watching video on Netflix the colors changed e.g. to black and white or undersaturated but after navigating back to the menu and started video play again the problem was solved and colors were normal.

Now this weird thing became worse. Every time if I start something, dark color is extremely dominant. You can't enjoy the content because you see almost nothing. I attached a video about this.

I tried other streaming platforms like YouTube or HBO Go and the problem is the same. I attached a device via HDMI and started playing video, same as I wrote earlier. Strange for me that if I watch the menu or non-video content then the problem doesn't exist or just I can't see.

What do you think it's time to call the support service and ask a warranty repair? Or could it be software based problem? I can't imagine what's wrong a few days ago everything was fine.

Thanks if you have any advice.

    Chromecast built in

    Posted: 23 Nov 2021 01:12 PM PST

Just got a tcl Android TV, tried casting sky's now app to it and just get a blank screen, guessing the built in chrome cast functionality doesn't work the same as casting to an actual Chromecast then? (Now works fine on my Chromecast ultra on my other TV)

There is a now app for Android TV but I think only Sony TVs have it.

Does anyone know what's going on with Android TV 12 beta?

    Posted: 22 Nov 2021 08:50 PM PST

The most recent beta was early September and since then there has been total silence from Google. There was never a final version released of it either.

    Movie uploader

    Posted: 23 Nov 2021 04:41 AM PST

Hello! I have a problem with my TV (Philips 7900 series) It doesn't read ntfs. My TV is 4k and I want to use it on its full potential. I tried so many things to make it read ntfs. (You can read this in the bracelet if u want, but it is not a big deal I think. Soo. I downloaded ms file explorer which seemed to read NTFS and I was happy. When I played the movie through this program the movie stopped at around 7:50 min. Idk what is that. I tried some more movies and they did the same. Its not about any download problem because the movies run smooth on my windows pc.)

So let's go back to the main part. Can you give me some video uploaders which are free for 4k video.
My point is that I can upload somewhere that movie and then watch it from my smart tv with 4k resolution. I want to try something else, but I have no idea how to do it. So I have gaming PC which is pretty high-end. Can I manage to somehow stream the movie from that PC directly to the Smart TV without losing any resolution. Yesterday I bought this TV and I think I would change it for another one if nothing is working. I mean I bought this 4K TV to watch high-resolution movies, not for just watching TV. Thanks in advance for your answers! :) Hope some help me.

Electric shocks from the edges of my android tv

    Posted: 22 Nov 2021 09:58 PM PST

So we just bought this TCL 50" 4K android tv two weeks ago and it was fine. The problem is just today, I touched one of the edges to move the tv aside for a bit and i felt a mild electric shock. I tried touching it for a few times and yep, 6 times I've felt it. The tv is unplugged. There were a few times for the past 2 weeks that i also touched it but i didn't feel anything. Has anyone experienced the same thing with their android tvs?
