I think I've out-bugged everyone on Android 12. Posted: 15 Nov 2021 08:44 AM PST Can anyone top this bug? https://imgur.com/nN1D878 This happened in my pocket. I think the notification shade was being pulled around while the screen locked. A restart fixed the problem. [link] [comments]

Posted: 15 Nov 2021 10:15 AM PST Works exactly as expected. You get a ding-a-ling on your phone when someone comes on the line. No more listening to elevator music 😁 How lucky we are to live in a time like this! [link] [comments]

The "Ecosystem" is all mental. Posted: 14 Nov 2021 09:35 PM PST I was getting rather bored using an iPhone. Used it for years and years. Sometimes switching to a Pixel or Samsung device just to experience the latest installment of Android and then always going back to iOS. It was because of..."The Ecosystem". Mostly everyone around me using iMessage, AirPods, Apple Card/Apple Pay etc. The realization I finally came to is that these things aren't so amazing that you're unable to use them, they are mental traps. For example, The Pixel Buds work just as great as the AirPods as far as doing what they need to do. WhatsApp, Signal and RCS messaging are not only as good, but better in many ways than iMessage. Google and Samsung Pay are more widely accepted than Apple Pay. Apple is dominant in controlling their user base because it doesn't leave them a choice. You have to use their product to be part of their club. But that's not what defines a "better" product, for me at least. A better product to me is comparing them equally and saying, I choose "this" one. In that sense, as I'm using this Galaxy S21 Ultra to type this, it offers so much more for what it is compared the iPhone 12 Pro I used to use. I no longer care about what the club wants. I use green bubbles? Oh well. Want to send me a better quality video? Get WhatsApp. You don't want to? I'll be ok without your video. It's ok. [link] [comments]
