The Awful State of Mobile Games

    Posted: 20 Sep 2021 06:36 PM PDT

I just want to preface this by noting that what I'm about to mention is only one small part of a larger problem.

I was scrolling through the play store recently and what I saw was pretty appalling. If you go over to the Top Charts, it's filled with very similar low quality, low effort games. Honestly, these games look like they were made in an hour. One of the main culprits is Voodoo, but there are so many more. Not only that but, all these games look like petty cash grabs made for legitimate 9 year olds. The fact that these games have above 2 stars on the app store makes me think that these reviews must be made by bots. I honestly don't know how many of these games have so many downloads. Maybe, it's just my bias but I feel like older mobile games had so much more going for them. Lastly, the fact that people play these cash grab games with a horrendous amount of ads is mind boggling to me. (Sorry if this was a little wordy, I was just pissed off)

Please recommend offline games that are actually interesting and not p2w

    Posted: 21 Sep 2021 06:57 AM PDT

Hello everyone, I'm looking for offline games that are actually fun to play (prefer rpg style) where you need atleast week to complete the game.

I also interested is there any (online) mmorpg style games where you can find many players online, and can play on daily basis ?

    Thank you 😊

Any good (and fair) idle game similiar to Egg Inc?

    Posted: 21 Sep 2021 06:13 AM PDT

Now that Egg Inc has gone to shit, thanks to the Golden Egg nerf yesterday, I'm looking for a new idle game. Ideally an idle game without (absurd) greedy developers.

    Dead Cells is on sale

    Posted: 21 Sep 2021 01:42 AM PDT

I just saw that Dead Cells is on sale. I am thinking about buying it. I have 2 questions before I do that.

    1. Can it be played without a controller?
    2. This additional DLC is it free or paid? What is the situation with that?

    Thank you.

    [DEV] 90 Story Lavatory

    Posted: 21 Sep 2021 09:23 AM PDT

    Play Store Link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andigital.lavatory

Hello, all! I just released my casual toilet tossing game 90 Story Lavatory. This game features quick rounds and casual absurdity and it's all about beating your high score and adding to your collection.

Simply put, this game is all about throwing toilets into the air as high as you can while others watch you. Your job is to use the wind (by tapping on either side of the screen) to maneuver your airborne toilet and collect coins while avoiding airplanes, birds, windows, and flying off the screen. As your toilet reaches the earth again, try to center it on the screen and hit the bullseye for the most points. On the third round of each set, there will be one of 28 special collectible items underground.

Make sure to check out the tutorial, as there's a lot going on and not much time to react (it's not a hand-holding tutorial, just some scrollable "how to play" information).

I greatly appreciate any feedback/bugs. Have a great week!

    Features:

    -Toilets in the air

    -28 Collectible items

-5 Special achievements (you'll have to experiment...)

    -Coins to collect (how original)

    -Airplane and bird explosions

    -Twitch timing

    -High scores

    -Many easter eggs

    About phone specs

    Posted: 21 Sep 2021 02:26 AM PDT

    • What's considered enough ram for gaming?
    • Do phones have GPUs?
    • What CPUs or Phones are considered entry-level, mid-range, and high-end?

Right now I have my eyes set on the Samsung S9 but I mostly play Minecraft, Fate Grand Order, and soon Genshin. But I'm not really into photography.

Are there any websites with Android game reviews?

    Posted: 21 Sep 2021 09:18 AM PDT

I am looking for websites which are up to date for people like me who don't have time to browse Google play and look for good games in all that cesspool of horrible games.

If not;is there any other good way to look for games worth playing?

What have you been playing thread here is perfect but too many games Like Dead Cells,Wild Rift etc. are being repeated and YouTube videos are not a good source of game recommendation in my opinion.

Thank you for your answers !

Looking for an old android 2D Zombie defense game

    Posted: 21 Sep 2021 06:30 AM PDT

Back then 2012-2014 , I played this zombie defense game where you are in a house and different types zombies are trying to raid you, the way to defend is to hold the zombies with your finger and toss them away. One thing I remember is that it has many levels and the levels are called Day 1, Day 2... I remember one zombie that is more buff than the rest which makes him hard to lift with your finger and thats when I quit the game. Also what I loved about this game is the zombies have ragdoll physics and once you lift them up, you can toss them around or smash them on the ground for your hearts content.

I've just created an Android casual game - Would you try it and give me some constructive feedback

    Posted: 20 Sep 2021 09:30 PM PDT

Does anyone know what game I'm referring to?

    Posted: 21 Sep 2021 12:34 AM PDT

I recently remembered an android game that I played some time ago. It's pretty simple and short, but i cannot remember its name, nor can I find it in my app library.

The game was basically a sad story about a man who lost the love of his life. The game is 2D and it's drawn, mostly. It depicts a post-apocalyptic-like world, and you have the option at some points to push a button and see how it was like when the main character and his partner were there, in the past.

I can't remember how the game ends, but I know that you had to walk a lot, you had the ability to smoke and even drink, I think, and at some point you're running towards an edge.

I think the name of the game had the name of a girl in the title, but I'm not sure. At the very least, it was dedicated to that person.

That's about it, do you guys have any ideas?

Anyone know of any truly free bingo games? I don't care about prizes I don't want to have to earn or buy tokens and I don't care about playing with people. I just want a truly free bingo game.

What's special about September 21st and 22nd? A lot of games seems to have the anniversary on these days.

Call of Duty Mobile, Mobile Legends, Pokémon Unite (mobile release on 22nd), maybe Genshin Impact (don't play it).
