Large code snippets don't read well on reddit and take up a lot of space, so please don't paste them in your comments. Consider linking Gists instead. Posted: 21 Sep 2021 07:20 AM PDT Is it a normal occurence to have users download your app and uninstall it within the same day. I've just launched my app on playstore, I haven't begun to promote it yet and I'm losing users. The app is fine. [link] [comments]

looking for some advice about creating an app. Posted: 21 Sep 2021 05:00 AM PDT i work construction as a pipelayer. i built mysely a script from tkinter to help figure multiple pipegrades at 1 time. then built another to help with manhole depths and so on. i use pydrlid and they run flawless. well i was told you can convert kivy scripts into a apk, well only thing i get is a black screen so that never works for whatever reason. where would i even begin to write my own app?? i dont need anything special. its not going in the playstore or anything its just for personal use. i just need a few labels, textbox, and a few buttons. i watch youtube videos on it i just want to hear from people here on what they think is the most simple way to do this. How can I secure my source code from resale or publish free? Posted: 20 Sep 2021 11:32 PM PDT I'm literally spent 9 months building an android app, There are at least 45 files of Web ( API ) and 173 files of Java language, This project is ready to sell but I'm looking for any way to secure my source code from resale or publish it as free. Let's supposed a specific company bought this product how can I guarantee this company will not resale it to their customers or publish it as free on the internet? I built stupid apps in the past and it's published now on the internet. Any suggestion? [link] [comments]
Android 11 Send user directly to the Location Permission screen Posted: 20 Sep 2021 12:30 PM PDT In Android 11 after you've requested foreground permissions this line will send the user to the Location permission screen of your app But if the user does not interact with that screen and just presses back, then executing that code seems to do nothing. Does anyone know of a better way to direct a user to this specific screen that isn't bugged? Or if there is a work around to this issue? [link] [comments]
Posted: 20 Sep 2021 08:58 PM PDT Hey everyone! So i've been studying android studio for a bit of time now and how to make widgets for a home screen, which led me to consider the limitations of what widgets can do. Is it possible to run another program from a widget? for example: if i have a small project from Unity (game engine), is there such thing as running the Unity project from a widget? Or anything close to that scale? [link] [comments]
Mobile Apps validation approach Posted: 20 Sep 2021 02:47 PM PDT Calling out suggestions from Mobile App development leads...Once your team develops a bunch of features and you are ready to release them. What is your approach to catch the bugs mainly run time errors, app crashing early on before the app goes out to production? Along with a few physical devices testing- Do you use something like AWS Device Farm? Any insights into this will be highly appreciated. Thank you in advance. [link] [comments]

First time app: licensing your terms of use/servive/copyright? Posted: 20 Sep 2021 09:35 AM PDT Hello!! I was wondering for publishing apps in the Google play store, how could you add a license to protect your app for copyright/terms of use? Is this necessary, or are all apps under Googles license? Or for example if you collect user data, a privacy policy? I'm just wondering if these things are needed or standard in a Google play store. [link] [comments] |
