| Posted: 01 Aug 2021 09:03 AM PDT On Pixel 5. This has been a problem for a while and seemingly getting worse. I listen to podcasts a lot of the days and notice my phone's audio will suddenly start stuttering, making anything unlistenable. If I turn the screen on it, it's fine. If I turn the screen off, it goes right back to stuttering. If I reboot, everything is fine again, but then after a while the problem will resume. I've looked this up and found two proposed solutions, one is turning off assistant. I did that. No help. The other is changing the audio app's battery usage from "Optimized" to "Unrestricted." Still no help. I'm at wit's end and really don't want to have to reset my entire phone. Can anyone think of reasons why this would be happening? [link] [comments] |
| Are there any good phones with headphone Jack? Posted: 01 Aug 2021 12:20 PM PDT My old Samsung S8 is starting to have issues. So I'm looking into getting a new phone. The only thing that is a must have for me is a 3.5mm headphone jack. Other than that, money is no issue although not looking to get something expensive just because obviously. Battery life is also important to me and something that annoyed me on my previous Samsung phones. Any suggestions? [link] [comments] |

All notifications are now being grouped to a single circle with count in the middle, even if there's only a single notification. How can I 'ungroup' notifications and show the actual icons? | Posted: 01 Aug 2021 05:21 AM PDT Android 9 on a Galaxy S8+.... Was searching the Playstore for an app that would wake up my phone with a hand wave over the proximity sensor. Found a bunch, and they all do the same thing. Wave your hand over the locked phone, edge screen lights up momentarily and the badge of the app appears top center. Phone does not wake up. Wondering if it is because I use the AOD feature. Do these apps work for people who don't use the AOD? Nothing in their documentation mentions this. ?? [link] [comments] |

I can navigate the menu fine, but whenever I open a game on my phone with controler support, I can't use any buttons, besides the touch pad as the mouse, and it acts as if the stick is constantly being pulled towards the bottom right. It's not the controllers fault, I used 2 different controllers, and reset them both to the same result. I tried licking it up, but to no avail. I'm convinced it's a problem with the phone. I have Samsung S9 and I got this basic wireless charger Samsung EP-PG920I. The thing is, I have my phone in plastic case. I have some magnetic plate on the back and also the finger holder. | Posted: 01 Aug 2021 10:07 AM PDT I have a Note 9 and recently, I started missing random work calls and calls from family. They try to call me and it says something like the call failed. Other times, it rings for them but I dont get the call and they leave a voicemail that I never receive. Also, I have been having the same issue with receiving texts. Some of them have been coming in way late and others not at all. Important to note that many calls and texts are working perfectly fine, so I dont think it could be a setting issue. I can access my printer with my computer on this wifi network But here is the problem : I can't access the device on this network from my phone. I can't print from my phone, I can't use app mirroring on Windows (open samsung flagship apps on W10 computer) because both S21 and computer have to be on the same wifi network. | Posted: 01 Aug 2021 08:28 AM PDT My clock app crashes whenever I try to change the alarm tone. Specifically the issue starts when I try to add a new alarm tone, then after that it crashes when I try to change the alarm sound at all. Clearing the data fixes it until I try to add a new alarm tone again. This issue started a while ago when I tried to set up a 2nd alarm with a custom ringtone (I don't even remember what it was supposed to be for) and I couldn't do it, I cleared the data thinking I could just reset up my morning alarm, but even selecting the sound I'd been using up until I deleted the data makes it start crashing. I've just been using one of the default sounds, but it's so repetitive and annoying, and I can't stand it anymore! I want my custom sounds back! [link] [comments] |
| Can't Share Files with Default Sharing App Posted: 01 Aug 2021 07:41 AM PDT At some point my phone stopped being able to share files in Google Chats. At first, I thought it was Google Chats fault. But I tried to upload a file to a website and I realized that Android appears to have a default file sharing app. Some apps build their own, like Signal and Google Messages. I can send pictures just fine with those apps. When trying to send pictures in Google Chats, it opens a new app called "Files". When I select a picture to share it immediately closes without adding it to Google Chats. Does the same thing when I tried to upload a file through a website. I just tried uninstalling updates. The first square one never works while the second rounded one is the right Snapchat. I only see one Snapchat in my apps so I don't know how to get rid of this duplicate. From 1~4pm approximately It was turned off, but the outside temperature was high as you could imagine. When I finished and took it out, I didn't even power it on until ~ 30 minutes later after I arrived home with the car AC turned on during the whole ride home of course My question is, can this brief period affect the battery performance/capacity in any serious way? Requirements: - Client-Server - Server part, which is compatible with Android 5.0. Probably, old versions of the app. - Simple remote control functions (tap, back/home/menu functions). - The main(important) requirement. Works (connects) via LAN (Wi-Fi, wireless). Unfortunately, most simple USB connection (debugging mode) is not available since the USB-port was damaged on device. - The main(important) requirement. During connection session, the server part(Android's side) should not require manual confirmation when establishing connection. The reason why - the device doesn't have fully working display's sensor. - Even if the root access is necessary (server side). - Windows-based client(for PC), or at least Android-based client (compatible with Android 5.0). Posted: 01 Aug 2021 06:34 AM PDT I tried to uninstall an app, but afterwards, It's icon was still there (in full color) and when I tried to uninstall it again, it said "this is a system app and cannot be uninstalled" but when I tried to open it, it said "app is not installed".
