I even sent an email to the dev (no avail). I sent a feedback also to PS regarding it. but I doubt they'll respond. | Posted: 27 Aug 2021 12:06 AM PDT I've had the same phone number for many years, and I've had my data leaked in many hacks, including the big Experian hack. And I've already had an identity theft situation, along with an increasing amount of text spam and robocall nonsense. I already use a Google Voice number for business, and you're only allowed to have one of those. I've read that in 2022 most big online businesses will have mandatory 2 factor authentication using your cellphone, so THIS seems to be a good time to make that leap and change phone numbers. I called my big national carrier, and they told me that they'll do it free, but they'll immediately cut my old number and they offer no real option. WHAT? So my back accounts and all of my contacts will have to be cut off until I update everyone? And what happens when my bank wants to CONFIRM that change by texting a code to my old number? I'm thinking the best strategy is to buy a cheap text and voice only plan from US Access or Mint Mobile, put it on a SIM and put that SIM into my older phone (I have a Galaxy S5 here from 5 years ago), and keep that going for a few months as I update the rest of the world with my new number. Is that the best way to go? Any other suggestions? I feel like there is potential to open myself to more ID theft if there is something done wrong in the changeover. [link] [comments] |

Hi there, I've just been trying to see some voicemails that have been left for me on my moto g5splus. To do this you need to call the voicemail number called "Voicemail". Upon trying to do this, it loads the phone call (Does not ring i.e does not produce any sound) and then after about 7-10 seconds the sound of hanging up a call happens and I get the words "Call ended". I have full signal and this hasn't happened before. (I set up my voicemail years ago) I tried looking up a solution on google, and I'm sure there is one, but I'm not knowledgeable enough to know the right search terms to use to find a solution. Does anyone have any idea as to what might be a solution to this. I've been expecting an important call today and ended up getting a call when I was doing some stuff hence I missed it. They sound good when playing music and videos, but they do not play the system notification sounds. Where/how do I set to get the notifications to play on them as well? | Display Buttons are not clickable anymore Posted: 27 Aug 2021 10:56 AM PDT Long time Android user here. Recently, some buttons on the display stopped working for me. E.g. "the install" button in the Play store is not working. I cannot install apps through the Play Store anymore. Need to do it manually through a browser. Also, within an app, I cannot press an "OK" button. The "Cancel" button is working though. I tried cleaning the cache, delete stored data. Reboot. | Android v10 predictive text missing words? Posted: 27 Aug 2021 10:54 AM PDT I've noticed the predictive text on my phone will straight up not have some words or like have one version of the word but not the other. Like just now I was typing "dialogue" and it acted as if it didn't know that was a word, but it did have "dialog" (although its underlining it red right now). Is this normal? Is android just bad with vocabulary? Im not dependent on it so its not really a problem, just annoying lol and I guess I wanna make sure there isn't something wrong with it by any chance, tho im sure its fine [link] [comments] |

| Charging but not increasing the battery level Posted: 27 Aug 2021 10:34 AM PDT I have a samsung a50 and it begins when i charge my phone for my online class then a hour later my battery level still stucks at 20%. Then i just use different chargers because i think the charger is the problem but its not working its still charging but no input because i downloaded a measuring app for charging and it says 0.0 amp and 0 volt but its charging and not decreasing my battery phone its just its not increasing too.i check the battery information to see if theres some apps of any if its just draining too fast and the charger cant sustain it so it doesnt increasing my battery level but everything seems to be normal.then i go to samsung members app to check my phone diagnostics and the battery seems normal too.but i think the problem here is the charging port or the board itself?is it true?or should i refformat my cellphone because its by software error?or should i replace the charging board and the battery too for assurance that isnt the batteries fault even it declared as a normal and not having problems? | P30 with broken screen wont output anything other than sound over HDMI Posted: 27 Aug 2021 09:51 AM PDT Hello r/androidquestions, Recently I dropped my Huawei p30 and this time the screen completely gave up, notifications, alarms etc still come through, but the screen is black and wont turn on anymore. New phone is already here and now I am just looking to get all of my old data off of the p30, I've tried every single method(except using another screen)I seem to be able to find online but none have worked so far. The furthest I've gotten is with a USB-C Dock, a Mouse, a Keyboard and a TV. But I can't get anything else than the sound to play on the TV. I've tried unlocking it by spamming Space and the PIN, but nothing has happened so far other than some notifications playing over the speaker... According to HDMI norms and the official Huawei Specsheet, the port is capable of displaying the Screen over HDMI, so I am out of options and thought maybe someone on this subreddit has had similar problems/a suggestion of what I could still try to get at my data. I recently came upon a great theme song and wanted to make it my ringtone, the music was great on both headphones and phone speaker while it was on YouTube or a music player. I downloaded using the "ssyoutube" method and removed the video and audio by adobe audition, but after making it my ringtone, it isn't clear or loud enough. The audio shows as an "UHQ" audio file in Samsung Music with high bitrate My current ringtone is the Microsoft Duo ringtone and i downloaded the original file from a patent website. It has a lesser bitrate. What can I do to make my music clear and loud to make it my ringtone ? TLDR : Where can I get the original audio of the Netflix "Patriot Act" theme song ? As a ringtone ? Posted: 26 Aug 2021 10:34 PM PDT So this problem has been happening to me for years, my only solution was to wipe and flash the ROM again. The problem: Three apps, one of them would not connect to the mobile 4G internet. Upon reconnecting to 4G (airplane mode on then off) sometimes the same app continues to not work, sometimes the problem moves to another app. The three apps are: YouTube (vanced and YouTube.com in the browser, Twitter, Whatsapp. All three apps always work on wifi. I pinged whatsapp.com when the problem was happening to the app and I received a response. This problem goes away when I connect to a VPN. This problem has been happening to me for YEARS. On a Samsung S7 and now on a Samsung S10. My phones are always rooted and on custom roms. I spent the last days flipping the internet upside down for a solution or at least an explanation, without any luck. Again. For the past months I have been deleting the APN when the problem happens, then manually adding it again. And it work fine for a couple of months. This solution used to work immediately. It's been a week now and this solution stopped working. I don't know why, nothing changed but ask me about specific things if you would like to know. Please help! This is beyond frustrating.
