If you know how to use adb then run the following commands:

adb shell pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.disney.disneyplus

adb shell pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.google.android.play.games

adb shell pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.google.android.videos

adb shell pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.hbo.hbonow

adb shell pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.hulu.livingroomplus

adb shell pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.netflix.ninja

adb shell pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.amazon.amazonvideo.livingroom

adb shell pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.google.android.youtube.tvmusic

adb shell pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.google.android.youtube.tv

And if you want to replace home launcher (ATV Launcher), Sideload Channel Launcher, etc) INSTALL IT FIRST and then run this command:

adb shell pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.google.android.tvlauncher

Delete lines for whichever apps you want to keep. You can also copy and paste these commands into a .bat script and make it one click.

Replaced Gen1 FireTV with Shield Pro - Why Is Image Quality So Much Better?

    Posted: 21 Jun 2021 08:25 AM PDT

I just replaced my first-gen FireTV with an NVidia Shield Pro. The primary impetus for the upgrade was my ongoing displeasure with the picture quality on the FireTV - namely the washed out blacks (letterbox bars were noticeably grey). I'd been told that the picture quality on the Shield would be better, but I was rather skeptical since the content is doing digital into my AVR and I tend to run all of my devices flat / direct with as little tweaking as possible. But now that I've got the Shield up and running and have compared identical content between the two devices, the difference isn't subtle. The Shield smokes the FireTV. Colors are rich. Things aren't washed out. Letterbox bars are black.

My system is Devices (FireTV, Shield, Sony Blu-Ray) -> Denon DN-500AV -> Hisense H9.

The apps in the TV have picture quality closer to the Shield. The blu-ray player looks great, too.

So what's going on? Why does the FireTV look so much worse than anything else? Wouldn't it be sending the same content to the receiver as the Shield?

Anyone ever heard of an Android Box with GPS an bluetooth?

    Posted: 20 Jun 2021 02:31 PM PDT

I am desperately searching for an Android TV box with GPS an bluetooth.

Yes of course I know that sounds hillarious, because why would a TV box need GPS....

The usecase is actually at home, I just need need GPS as a requirement for an app I am running...

And other devices dont do "the job" because I need a device that can have a monitor plugged but also can be run without a monitor! And also it needs to work without battery, thats why a phone or tablet is not what I need.

Phones or tablets have the issue that they hibernate or put suff into sleep mode whn switching off the display... also thy have a battery which doe not work for my scenario. Just need it to run straight of the plug...

So just in case someone ever saw something like that... please help!

Everytime I click on something it is being read out loud. I've been into universal settings to try to stop this problem, however it didn't work.

    PS. I have a 9005 model (2020).
