Question: Opinion on future of Android in China Posted: 20 Jun 2021 07:47 PM PDT Is someone aware of any movement or has an opinion on the future of Google's Android/"Fuchsia" in China? I came accross an article from early 2019 where in the midst of the tradewar it was oracled what could happen after China banning the play store and USA Huawei phones. Now we have the situation that Huawei developed their own OS yet to my knowledge iOS and Android are strong as ever. The worst case spelled out in the article was the need for Google to branch Android permanently for China at some point (I am not an expert in this field). Do you think the market will decide over time or are any moves on political level to be expected that would restrict/ban Android/"Fuchsia" in China? Thank you. [link] [comments] | ||
