But now I don't know to use it because is in Russian, I tried to delete it but the system says it can't be deleted. Now I tried to delete form the Configuration it just "disappear" I can't find bin in the app search, the icon also disappear. And I tap the message of the system but it goes nowhere. | Android Decryption/Boot fails after restore from TWRP backup while TWRP decrypts /data just fine Posted: 29 Jun 2021 01:14 PM PDT I'm using a Xiaomi Mi 9 (cepheus) with TWRP version 3.5.2_9-0. I have an issue with android atm which to me seems super weird. I recently tried dirty flashing an update to my custom ROM, prior to which I made a backup in TWRP, including system image, vendor image, data and boot partitions. After the dirty flash failed, I restored that backup, but now my phone doesn't boot. It gets as far as the "phone is starting"... screen and then hangs there forever. Using adb logcat, I was able to determine why android fails to boot; it's failing at the decryption stage and then later loops trying to access stuff in /data that's still encrypted, throwing an exception and trying again. Here's that part of the logcat:
What's really strange though is that TWRP has no problems decrypting the phone. The The ROM I'm using btw is crdroid, I tried updating from crDroidAndroid-11.0-20210414-cepheus-v7.5 to crDroidAndroid-11.0-20210509-cepheus-v7.6, both android version 11. [link] [comments] | ||

Everytime I call someone or someone calls me and I pick up, my screen just turns off and nothing I do can open the screen during the call. I can't even end the call or get back to my screen unless the call ends. I was wondering if anyone would know how to fix this. Posted: 29 Jun 2021 03:56 PM PDT Hey all, I've found myself swapping back and forth between my Note 20 Ultra and my Galaxy Z Fold 2 (there being aspects I really love about each of them). This has mostly pretty simple: swap SIM cards, relink my Signal account, and go. The only real way I notice, and the thing that makes me hesitant to swap back and forth, is that I know, in particular, my photos won't synchronize (it may be silly, but I really like having my go-to photos handy for group chats, etc.). I know there are several photo back-up solutions through Verizon, Google etc. But what I really want is a kind of synchronized gallery easily accessible no matter what phone I happen to be using at the time. And, if possible, accessible to the point where I can essentially swap phones, press the gallery button, and immediately see all of the photos I took on the other phone. I'm talking social media saves, group chat saves, downloads, captures, etc. Bonus points if it's a fairly cheap option (I know with the kind of storage this might require, that may not be possible). Not even normal charge, it says charging slowly and it takes forever...it seems like it got disabled in the custom Kernel. Is there a way to edit/rewrite/modify the custom Kernel by Derpfest? | Voice notifications interrupting music Posted: 29 Jun 2021 02:48 PM PDT With one pair of headphones I have (totally normal plug in headphones with no features) every time I move a little bit my phone will stop the music and tell me "it's 23:32 and blah blah blah". Whytf is this happening and how do I stop it. I cannot find this anywhere on the internet. I do not have TalkBack enabled in any way. Why the hell would I need this? Posted: 29 Jun 2021 02:26 PM PDT Is it possible to have notification sounds come through wired headphones on Android 11 instead of through the phone speaker? I just recently started using earphones more and I did not realize that the notification sounds were coming through the phone speakers instead of through my earphones, which was making me think I was insane. Currently, I set up Tasker to set the phone to vibrate mode when I plug in the earphones, so the notifications aren't playing through the phone speaker, but I would prefer to have the notification sounds come through the earphones, in addition to whatever I am listening to. | Unfortunately android.process.media has stopped. Posted: 29 Jun 2021 02:24 PM PDT I have an LG V410 Gpad (old I know) that keeps showing this error. I have tried everything I could find from a google search, including clearing data for multiple apps. Out of frustration I did a factory reset thinking that would solve it but the error is still here, along with a message "System UID's are inconsistent" whenever I start up the device. I am unable to launch most apps with out getting the "android.process.media" error and the tablet crashing back to the home screen. Is there any other solution to this or is my tablet dead? ". Does this mean that any and every android device(above android 3.1/4.1) fully supports decoding 16bit/44.1khz or 48khz audio? I download something to fix it, however I think my phone is too outdated. After downloading the supposed fix, it broke my entire phone. I spent like 15 minutes fighting through errors struggling to fix the new problem I caused myself. Now, I've fixed it, finally... But I still can't use the Search feature to find Security. What am I trying to do? I want to enable downloading APKs from unknown sources outside of the google playstore. And you need to go to Security to do that. It says on multiple websites to go to "Lock and Security", it doesn't say Security, it says Lock Screen and there are no security things on it. I have a "Fingerprints and security", but it doesn't have anything relating to what I want to do. Another website said to go "Special Access" to enable it. For the last couple days, it responds to him just fine, but if he asks for results ("Show me surfboards" for example) it only reads out a wikipedia listing for what a surfboard is, without displaying pictures or other links... On my phone (Note 20 Ultra) it will read the same answer but will open Google to display links and photos. What settings should I look for on his phone or Google app to figure this out? | Posted: 29 Jun 2021 12:44 PM PDT Hello, I have a Samsung Galaxy S SCH-i500 Mesmerize (Not to be confused with the Facinsate, which is the Verizon model, unsure if they are the exact same) My device has been severely messed with and I do not believe it even has a boot loader installed anymore. The most that I am able to do is boot into ClockworkMod recovery, but am unable to install any ROMs or any additional recovery tools because for whatever reason it is unable to mount /system, /catch, /data, etc. I have also tried flashing different ROMs via Odin, but the phone doesn't boot them for some reason, still believe it's due to the boot loader being messed with. In order to fix those errors I found instructions to use Android Platform Tools to wipe those sectors, but was unable to get the Platform Tools to install successfully. I've searched around plenty, mostly through XDA Forums, and found stock ROMS, and even a full Nand backup that would bring my device back to its stock glory, but most of these downloads were uploaded to MegaUpload, which has been shutdown. I was wondering if anyone has any files or information that could help me get the device working again? (I know it's a 11 year old phone and I do not actually plan on using it or anything, but I am determined to get it working again 😂) [link] [comments] | ||
| Xperia 1 III Carrier Compatibility Posted: 29 Jun 2021 12:43 PM PDT Hello, I am a U.S. customer for Xfinity Mobile who is interested in getting a Sony Xperia 1 III. It is supposed to release in August/September in the U.S., however I have no idea if Xfinity Mobile supports it, and their customer support claims they "cannot check the compatibility of the phone without an IMEI number." So I can't find out if there is a possible carrier-barrier through a support agent. Xfinity Mobile uses the same waves/bands as Verizon, to my knowledge; the Verizon bands match with the new Xperia's available 4G and 5G network bands. So the phone should work. Does anybody have any experience with bringing over an unlocked phone to a carrier that has no official stated support for a device, but supports the carrier's bands on paper? Perhaps more specifically, for an Xperia phone on Verizon/Xfinity Mobile? If the phone's bands support the carrier's bands, is it as simple as taking the SIM card out of your old phone and plopping it in the new one? I feel the carrier may have to get involved in the backend in transferring a number over to a phone; in that case, the phone would have to have official support by Xfinity Mobile. It would not be so simple. I don't wanna be caught up in a situation where I spent $1400 on a phone just to hear that my carrier does not support it/it does not work. Posted: 29 Jun 2021 12:42 PM PDT When I select text, there's a 'translate' option at the beginning of the popup contextual menu (before cut, copy, paste, etc.). This used to be for the Google Translate app but suddenly it has switched to translating with Search, and now I have go into the 'more options' menu to find the Translate app button, which is a real drag. Ever since, I have been having screen issues, which some googling says is a known issue with Android 11 and screen protectors. Is there a good solution to this yet? One thing I can't figure out how to change is not having the content notifications show outside of the app itself. I want the notifications to still give me sound/vibration alerts and have a dot over the app, or some sort of other non-invasive way to show me which app to check instead of spilling all the contents of my emails and text messages as soon as I check the notification drawer. My options for notifications are "Show all notification content", "Hide sensitive content", and "Don't show notifications at all". The Problem is I want to do it manually as my anti-virus says there is no virus. I go to the files app and check that all categories, except pictures and videos, are empty. Cstegories are downloads, installation files, compressed, documents and starred. I also checked my apps and don't see anything suspicious. Does this mean I am good? | Issues with Streaming services Posted: 29 Jun 2021 11:01 AM PDT Recently I have been unable to use any of my streaming services on my Verizon Samsung Note 20, Netflix doesn't open, hulu will open then when a press a title it will buffer forever, and HBO max freezes upon opening a title. I don't know what could have caused this. Although I'm sure it's not my network after a few speed tests.
