How do I get rid of Disney+ recommendations on home screen? Posted: 26 Apr 2021 07:04 PM PDT I don't have Disney+ on any device, I actively despise Disney as a company and do not want them anywhere near me, and yet my (logged in) TV keeps pushing this crap on me on my home screen. When I go to my home screen settings Disney+ doesn't show up as a controllable app I can remove (and it's not an app installed on my tv). Any way to get rid of this atrocity? Thanks! Posted: 27 Apr 2021 08:04 AM PDT Is it just like a regular TV at that point? Or is it trash at that point and you should get rid of it? Should you not get a smart TV for this reason? And just add streaming devices like a Roku player or an Android device that connects to the HDMI port? Or is it still okay to get a smart TV? I'm not sure but I feel like not smart TVs might actually be more expensive today. [link] [comments]
I have a sony android tv. I have locast but it's not able to integrate to live channels. Posted: 26 Apr 2021 11:49 PM PDT Is there an app that can use remote functionality? I tried stremium and that's nice, but I would like an app that can change channels and even use the number pad. For example, press 7 on the number pad would change the channel to abc. This is more to make it easier for my parents. [link] [comments]
Posted: 26 Apr 2021 07:12 PM PDT Does anybody know how I can get the Apple TV Ariel screensaver offline? I have the one that you need WiFi for, but just wondering if there's an offline alternative? Thanks. [link] [comments]
can't find the android settings in GELL tv Posted: 26 Apr 2021 09:55 PM PDT i have a new Gell TV, a 43 inch smart tv with the following specs "Hardware: SDK v22 CPU:armeabi-v7a android 5.1.1 (SmartTV OS) 4 gig ROM, useable only 1gig" But the problem is, can't seem to find the android settings. The specs was found after installing aptoid TV. The online shop says it's from japan, but I think this is from china, which explains the low cost. [link] [comments]

I just bought a Sony Bravia XBR-65X900H AndroidTV. Is the Shield TV 2017 still relevant? Posted: 26 Apr 2021 11:56 AM PDT As the title suggest, I recently bought a Sony Bravia AndroidTV. It's been 2 days now and I'm very pleased with the AndroidTV experience the Bravia offers. It's smooth and seems to play pretty much any video format natively.
It got me thinking maybe my Shield TV is no longer useful for my intended use. Up until now, I used my Shield TV for all things media on my TV setup; Netflix, Youtube, Plex, Kodi and a bunch other media apps. Gaming is out of scope here. I never used the Shield TV for gaming purpose.
Long story short, I'll keep the Shield TV on hold for now while I check how the TV itself handles media content consumption.
But I wanted to know if there would be any benefit in keeping the Shield TV in my AV setup. Any known issue with Android TV on Bravia TVs? Any issue with Bluetooth headphone pairing (late night movie watching)? Also, is it possible to enable ADB debugging on Bravia's AndroidTV? I need it to integrate with HomeAssistant. CCWGTV: Dolby Digital Plus to Dolby Digital conversion Posted: 26 Apr 2021 09:33 AM PDT My soundbar (Samsung HW-Q60T) is basically useless because it only supports dolby digital 5.1 and Netflix (on Android) uses Dolby digital plus for 5.1. When Chromecast is plugged into soundbar: Soundbar does not provide 5.1 -> stereo only, manually enforcing "Dolby Digital Plus" in Chromecast settings provides the "5.1" option in netflix but leads to no sound (obviously soundbar cant handle the signal) When plugged into TV: Huge audio delay as TV takes over "conversion" (Even when set to "Passthrough" my tv switches back to Auto during Netflix playback). Question for people who use bluetooth headphones Posted: 26 Apr 2021 02:04 PM PDT My audio feels a bit off with bluetooth headphones, and Android TV seems to have an audio delay option in the Audio settings. This does work when I'm just using my normal TV speakers, but it doesn't seem like any adjustments apply to the bluetooth headphones. Are other people experiencing this? Is there a way around it, like maybe an app I can download or something I can do within my settings? [link] [comments] |
