After uninstalling it, i noticed that when i search something on chrome the icon of the app i uninstalled appears instead of the icon of the page i'm viewing. | Photos disappearing from google photos Posted: 10 Apr 2021 10:48 AM PDT hi. I created a folder on my phone called "meme", which obviously I use to store memes for silly messaging with friends. I usually save the pictures on my PC, edit them sometimes, then send the pictures to my gmail account and download them from there, then I go into the "photos" app and move them from "download" folder to the "Meme" folder. Then... without doing anything else... some of the pictures after a while disappear completely both from that folder and from my device. It's driving me mad. Is anyone able to help? | Accidentally deleted music from my Android internal storage from the Google Music app Posted: 10 Apr 2021 04:35 AM PDT I had woken up and was going through my music (sort of like an early morning ritual) when I was searching for a song and I thought I saw a duplicate. I went to delete the song, but it turned out I didn't read the fine print and I accidentally deleted an entire album and lost many music files that had been saved in my phone. I have been trying to find the trash folder as I researched online and saw that Android 11 should have one, but no luck. I have a Sony Xperia 5 II phone, and everything is on my internal storage since I haven't put in an SD card. Any help finding those files would be great. Even the list of songs deleted would be great, as I am sure I would probably have most of them in my computer but out of thousands, I have no way of knowing exactly... [link] [comments] |

But whenever I receive any type of calls, my phone will redirect all sounds to the main speakers. I tried a few audio rerouting apps, like lesser audioswitch, but it didn't help. I need any help I can get to reroute the audiopath through the otg into the headphone. I don't know what I did, but now every time I try to type something into an app, it goes right to the TAP TO SPEAK prompt and refuses to let me use the keyboard. I cannot for the life of me figure out what I inadvertently turned on or how to turn it off. | Posted: 10 Apr 2021 09:29 AM PDT I've been having problems with my A70 when it comes to loading pages from browsers (Chrome and Firefox) and social media apps (FB and Instagram). There are times when the page won't load and the way to fix it is to constantly use the optimise button from the device care widget. I have 6GB of memory yet it never gets that high and usually starts to slow down at about 3GB/3.5GB. I restart my phone every night. It is starting to get unbearable. I don't believe it's an internet issue as it happens when connected to home wifi and while using my data. I've factory reset my phone before to try and solve this issue and it didn't fix it. I've also restricted background activity on all my apps (not that I have many). Any ideas to solve this issue? Thank you [link] [comments] |

I'm trying to get one to work on my Galaxy 21 Ultra, when I plug it into my phone it doesn't recognize it and nothing happens. I formatted it to Fat32, and also enabled developer options and turned on usb debugging as well as changed default usb configs to transferring files, and still nothing. Posted: 10 Apr 2021 08:18 AM PDT I have to use USB tethering frequently and it's frustrating to go to the Settings app every time to toggle ON the option. I would like to create a home screen shortcut for that setting which allows me to toggle it just by clicking the shortcut icon. I tried looking at the Activites widget that Nova launcher provied and also looked into the Automate app to see if it offered functionality that'd allow this, but to no avail. | Found a lost phone, what in the world can I do with it? Posted: 10 Apr 2021 07:45 AM PDT Hello. My cousins found a phone, a Cubot Quest Lite. It was found near a place where the road is being reconstructed, so they asked around the construction crews about it (it is a somewhat rugged phone). On the phone was a message that mentioned the first name of the owner, so they asked if any [owner's name] lost their phone. Nothing came up. In the meantime, the owner remotely wiped the phone, possibly removing any chance of finding the original owner. So there's no chance of finding the owner (they might even be in another country, the phone was in a neighboring country's language in the setup menu), and the cousins gave the phone to me to see if I can do anything with it. Well I tried sideloading lineageos since I thought the bootloader was already unlocked because the brand seems pretty cheap, and the recovery mode suggested that it was all unlocked. Turns out it was not. So I went about unlocking it and of course, it did not work, the device is oem locked. So how in the world do I fix that? There is no way to enter the OS, since it was remotely wiped, it wants the last Google account that was used with it. [link] [comments] |

What I'm Trying to Achieve I'm wanting to block tablet usage between 8pm-6am on my kids device. Their tablet is otherwise not password protected, and I'd like to keep it that way, so the password/lock protection should be native within the app and only apply when the app locks the device. I watched a bunch of reviews on the phone before I decided to pull the trigger and not many reviewers talked about this feature. I actually went into Verizon to confirm that it was symmetrical. | Android shortcut button to play/pause music Posted: 10 Apr 2021 03:27 AM PDT Hi there, I have a phone (Android 9) which has a hardware button which I can set individually to do an action of my choice, such as open an app, turn on the flashlight etc. Basically the button can use every shortcut existing on the phone. (I mean the small buttons that are found near to where you can choose your widgets for the homescreen - I don't know for sure if they are called 'shortcuts') So I would like to set my button to play/pause the music player which is currently active - it can't be so difficult because the buttons on headphone cables do the same. | Galaxy Phone randomly shuts off when I play Playstation...? Posted: 10 Apr 2021 05:58 AM PDT My Galaxy A71 shuts off or restarts when I play my PS5. When it shuts off, I can't restart it at all. The last time it shut off completely, I tried all the typical restart button combos, tried plugging it in for a few minutes and tried the same button combos while connected to power, etc...nothing worked. Then a few days later it randomly turned back on when I plugged it in and pressed down + power. Last night, it shut down completely again, so I fear it'll be another few days before it works. Other info: I use a bluetooth headset with PS5 for chat (could that be related??), it's a work phone loaded with office and some "work apps", my PS5 is downstairs, but I don't think that has an effect because this has only occurred while I'm playing PS5. Otherwise, the phone works fine. Any help or ideas on how this is happening would be appreciated! I can't find any mention of such an issue online. [link] [comments] |

| Posted: 10 Apr 2021 05:15 AM PDT I often use Microsoft To-Do app and it has a persistent notification that you could tap all the way down in the notification centre, and when you tap it, it opens bubble window where you can quickly type in a reminder. I want to have access to that popup bubble window by some sort of gesture, shaking my device, etc. — instead of having to reach to the status bar (I have a huge Note 20 Ultra), drag it down, scroll all the way down to the persistent notification, swipe down on it to expand it, tap it. It's quite the tedious process especially when you're on the go and need to write something down quickly before you forget it. [link] [comments] |
