I know it was a thing sometime last year but they took it off silently and theres no option for that now(dont understand why though). It was possible via installing the Chromecast beta app on the tv. They used to advertise it would be possible soon but in the tech community soon can mean a lot of things hahah. Id very very much would love to be able to have my tv added to speaker group as i love the surround around my house when playing some tunes. Thanks for any comments or shared infos. Cheers people. I have a Sony x900f and it seems like apps never auto-update even though it is set to do it. Every Time I go into the play store, just about every app installed has an update available. | Poor Internet (via ethernet) on Android Set-Top Box V88 4K Posted: 04 Mar 2021 01:33 AM PST We have an Android set-top box V88 4k set up to connect to our TV. It is connected to a TP-Link Wi-Fi extender via Ethernet. It achieves a speed between 10 and 16 mbps. I've tried plugging in my laptop via ethernet directly into the Wi-Fi Extender (same cable) and I was able to achieve between 40 and 55 mbps. I'm not sure why the Android Box isn't working at full potential, despite being plugged in via Ethernet, and the Wi-Fi Extender achieves good speeds otherwise (e.g. just tested it on my laptop via Wi-Fi and got 53 mbps). I noticed tonight after poking around my TV settings, that under my Accounts & Sign In -> My G Account... that Calendar, Contacts, Google Play Music, and Peoples were set to sync. (Oddly Google TV was set to Off) Why is this? What the purpose of my TV having access to these? Out of precaution I turned these to Off. Is this just for the TV or for my Google Account as a whole? | Posted: 03 Mar 2021 10:57 AM PST Hey, i have mi box s streamer, and i have a problem with the wifi that i am sure it's possible to solve. My mi box s connected via ethernet cable (i have a usb to ethernet adapter), and when i want to switch to wifi it doesn't work. But when i am disconnecting the ethernet cable, the wifi works. The thing is i want to have the option to choose between them without disconnecting the ethernet cable everytime (i have my reasons). Is it possible?
