Here is the link: https://imgur.com/gallery/qtqPEQy This "Samsung account" notification has popped up every 5 minutes for the past two weeks. This is due to the fact that the Samsung Experience Service app's notifications cannot be turned off. I signed out of my Samsung account recently because I don't use it. This was the cause of these incessant notifications. I called Samsung and they were unable to help. I am wondering if there is any other method of blocking these notifications. Recently Play store asked me for an update of the Google app and I updated it. Right after that my Google discover feed stopped working. | Media player is spazzing out whenever I connect to cell signal, any ideas? Posted: 16 Feb 2021 09:50 AM PST If anyone has any ideas or thoughts on how to fix this issue I would really appreciate it. Whenever I connect my note 20 ultra (running latest android on verizon) to cell service, the media player will start starting, stopping, and skipping songs at random, ill pull down the notification bar to stop it, but its like the phone is being remotely controlled and the notification bar is swipped away without me touching the screen. This has happened on spotify & youtube music so far. Ive restarted it, hard restarted it (power & volume down), reset a bunch of spotify and battery specific settings, but nothing has worked so far. The issue only happens when connected to cell service, the device works totally normally over wifi. Id really like to avoid a total wipe if possible. | Posted: 16 Feb 2021 09:07 AM PST Hi, My dad and me both have the problem that, since a few days, WhatsApp seems to be unable to download any media. It doesn't matter if it's WiFi or Cellular. What's extra weird is, that WhatsApp for Windows can receive media and as soon as the chat is opened on Windows the phone receives the media too. | Posted: 16 Feb 2021 04:47 AM PST 6 android devices at home currently. But recently mine and my dad's devices are having WiFi speed issues. I'm wondering if this is a router issue or device specific problem. I usually hit 60-70 mbps, but yesterday and today had frequent dips to under 2mbps for a sustained period until I either switched WiFi off then on again (didn't work every time). All other users with their devices have maintained above 45mbps consistently and have not had loading issues or dips in speed. What should I check on my phone (A71) and the router settings? Also the LAN (?) cable (router side) is slightly loose and sometimes needs to be put back in properly, but I don't think that should only affect 2 devices. [link] [comments] |

| Optical fingerprint sensor causes washed colors on lockscreen. Why? Posted: 16 Feb 2021 08:04 AM PST When I enable the unlock with fingerprint feature, the colors on the lockscreen are worse than the homescreen and the lockscreen is brighter than the homescreen. With some wallpaper it's pretty annoying. I disabled face recognition and I know it's caused by the optical fingerprint sensor which needs light but is there a way to fix these problems? Maybe by limiting the "interaction" of the fingerprint sensor with the screen only in the sensor zone instead of the whole screen, but I don't know if it's sth achievable. I think it's not acceptable for a 500+ euros phone to have these issues and it's very annoying. Galaxy S20 FE 5G [link] [comments] |
| Samsung/Huawei Dialer and Calendar Apps Posted: 16 Feb 2021 07:20 AM PST Huawei in their native dialer app has this feature where it shows how long the call rang for missed calls. For example you may see written rang for 5 seconds, or rang for 40 seconds etc.. Is there a dialer app I can use on Samsung that has this feature as I can not find it on native samsung dialer. Huawei native calendar, when you click on any date will show you how many days until this date. Also can't find it on Samsung so is there a 3rd party app that i can use with this feature. | I can't turn on the media audio for bluetooth device Posted: 16 Feb 2021 06:28 AM PST I used a bluetooth headphone for few years now and now it doesn't connect to media audio. I did go to Bluetooth>three dot at the right of the device name>Turn on the media audio, but it just turns it off immediately. I don't know the cause of this. When my Samsung Galaxy a20e is off and I plug it in, it vibrates for around two seconds and shows the percentage in the centre (as usual) and a warning symbol followed by a symbol of a charger underneath at the bottom of the screen. | Youtube Music App stops playing music when I recieve a phone call with Do Not Disturb mode on. Posted: 16 Feb 2021 05:10 AM PST Title says it. Phone call should stay in silent mode and music should resume playing if I have my device on Do Not Disturb. Otherwise it's just like getting a silent phone call, the interruption is still there. Anyway does anyone have a solution for this? I have looked everywhere on google couldn't really come up with something solid. Cheers. | Is there any way to emulate older android versions on newer androids? Posted: 16 Feb 2021 04:58 AM PST Back in middle school, I played lots of awesome games on my android 2.3.5. Games like Need for Speed, Zenonia, Dead Space, etc. I just can't find android games these days that hits the mark the games back in 2012's did. That said, I found out that most old android apps don't run on newer devices because they are developed to run in Dalvik runtime. So is there any way I can emulate gingerbread or kitkat on my android 10 or at least make it run in Dalvik?? [link] [comments] |
