In a few hours, 30go of rambump files (.elf) are create in my android device. How can I read those files ? I don't find a lot of information about it on google. Do you know what can cause this ? | Always on display brightness setting Posted: 19 Feb 2021 10:30 AM PST Is there a brightness setting for the pixel 5 always on display? Obvious to have one. If not does Android 12 finally have the setting. Virtually all always on displays are way to bright, in my personal opinion. [link] [comments] |

| Android keeps deleting sd downloads Posted: 19 Feb 2021 09:01 AM PST My android 10 keeps deleting my downloaded sd files every couple of months, this is the second time it's happened so far. I use google chrome to download my files and it's the only place it gets deleted from, not my regular download folder. [link] [comments] |

| Posted: 19 Feb 2021 11:50 AM PST Okay so I took out an old Huawei phone recently and to my surprise it worked! I couldn't exactly remember what the pattern was but had a vague general idea of what it might be. After randomly trying out some passwords for a while I was able to unlock my phone. Now I don't know what the pattern is. I was just randomly swiping. I want to disable to lock screen but it asks me to enter my patter again for that which I don't know what it is. I've tried playing around with it and hoping I get lucky again but I've been locked for 1 hour and I don't want to risk it further. Any advice on what I can do in this situation [link] [comments] |

Is there a way to have my monitor stream through something like chrome remote desktop from my pc run in the background of my phone and act as a virtual camera that I can open in google translate? I've been using the old version of the app for so much time, and I was fine with it, but now I've recently updated the app and I don't like it so much... Anyway, the problem is that when I share a note as pdf now, it's just an image in pdf, so you can't copy the text or search a word(with the old app I could do that). I know that I lose some stuff liee the 45w recharge, 1440p screen and possibly battery life? (I'm talking about the exynos model). The camera would be a downgrade? I always long tap to open things in new tabs and this group stuff complicates the process so much.. (also I absolutely HATE having UI bars at the bottom of the screen). | Battery estimated time remaining missing after upgrade to Android 11 Posted: 19 Feb 2021 08:06 AM PST A while ago I purchased a pixel 3a running android 10, no real issues and I loved the feature where I would swipe down the notification bar and it would give me an estimate on how long my battery should last. Well about a month ago I upgraded to android 11 and that feature seems to be gone. What is strange is my wife has the same phone purchased at the same time, and upgraded at the same time, and it still works on her phone. I can't seem to find any setting or help on Google for this. | Anyone who uses aurora store on 32-bit device able to get Pokémon Go? Posted: 19 Feb 2021 07:16 AM PST So this is somewhat of a specific question. I own a Note 3, it can directly download the 32bit app of Pokemon Go from the play store no issue on an official android 10 custom rom. Now I have a Note 4, it cannot and is on android 10 unofficial custom rom. So in aurora store I can download pokemon go on the Note 3, on the note 4 I cannot. Im not sure if one of the spoofer phone choices on the app allows for the game to be downloaded all I tried was either worse or equal to the Note 4, no pokemon go option!! I tried exporting the Note 3 to spoof as the Note 3 on the Note 4 and the app doesn't work when I do that, therefore that unfortunately isn't the solution. So can anyone tell me the exact way to get Pokémon Go to show on the Aurora Store so I can download it on my Note 4 on lineage os, (android 10)? It's possible but so far no luck [link] [comments] |

| Question about using ToF cameras for 3D scanning Posted: 19 Feb 2021 02:47 AM PST When the LG G8S was released, one of its new features was an infrared Time-of-Flight (ToF) camera which can be used to map 3D objects. Since then, there have been several other smartphone companies such as Huawei, introducing a similar camera in their phones. At the time, it was praised for allowing applications of 3D scanning, e.g. for LG's facial recognition, which works quite well. However, at least for the LG G8S, there doesn't seem any app or any other way to get the ToF camera to work except for the facial recognition, e.g. to make a 3D scan of an object for 3D printing... Several apps in the app store advertise compatibility with e.g. Huawei or Honor phones, but not with LG. All apps which I have tried are complete bogus, which can easily be seen by the fact that the LG G8S' ToF camera is front-facing and the apps always somehow tried using the rear-facing cameras for so-called "3D scanning" with the results being absolute garbage. Has anyone ever successfully attempted to use ToF cameras outside of facial recognition? If yes, how did you do it? it would also be interesting to hear if any owners of Huawei or other phones with ToF cameras have had any success with getting 3D models using their ToF camera. Posted: 18 Feb 2021 07:46 PM PST It is said on my phone that 87% of my storage is used primarily on the "other" section along with images, videos, audio, etc. I want to know where to find the "other" file section because i plan to free atleast 16gb that i have no idea is filling up my storage, i want to free lots of internal space and ive done all i can but the "other" section is the main problem here.
