Posted: 03 Feb 2021 03:57 AM PST I attempted to log into my work email last night, then had to download some stuff for security reasons etc, eventually I just removed the profile completely because it was taking a long time to set up my work profile, I dont really need it either. Anyways I noticed that I now have a different option on my apps home page, I have my personal apps and my work apps, which since I disabled my work profile are greyed out. I've removed the apps, but the work option is still there, it isn't a massive issue, but I keep accidentally opening the work home page instead of my personal one, any idea on how to get rid of it completely? I followed every step shown in the tutorials(all of them seemed quite identical to me so not mentioning the exact one I followed). The system rebooted and was being updated, everything was good. But before rebooting again I selected "Wipe all data/factory reset" or something like that in the recovery mode. And now my phone is completely dead. Nothing seems to work, be it download mode or recovery mode. The charging icon is not showing up when plugged on. I don't know what to do. [link] [comments] |

What is the best option for playing android games on a PC, Emulator or Virtual Machine? If so, which emulator or Android OS is the best and why? More specifically, what is the best option to squeeze the most performance out of my Laptop? I am asking this because my laptops specs are fairly limited. I am open to anything BUT Bluestacks is out of the question as it has much bloatware and ads. (Though if you have a solid argument for it I am willing to hear it). My Laptop specs are as follows MacBook Pro 2019, 13 inch CPU: Quad-Core Intel Core i5-8279u, 2.4 Ghz (turbo boost up to 4.1 Ghz Graphics: Intel Iris Plus Graphics 655 1536mb Ram: 8gb LPDDR3 2133 MHz Also I have a bootcamp partition as well. | Posted: 03 Feb 2021 12:27 PM PST I'm trying to copy a bunch of files from my phone to my pc via adb. Though the foldernames are in some cases very long. NTFS longpath is activated in windows but I can't copy those folders over still. I'm using latest version adb and windows 10 I have also tried to copy to the drives root directory, doesn't work as well :/ Any suggestions? I don't want to rename 2500 folders :/ [link] [comments] |

My concern is minimizing it. It appears when I get a message, it opens when I click on it, but I'm unclear how to "minimize" it, as in make it go back to being a bubble without dismissing it entirely. Is this even possible? | Vibration only for Call, WhatsApp Call and Signal Call Posted: 03 Feb 2021 11:59 AM PST I am trying to find a way to keep all notifications on silent without vibration except for when I am being called either through the normal phone app, through WhatsApp or through Signal. So far I have been able to keep everything vibrationless except normal phone calls by switching the phone to vibration mode and setting the vibration intensity for notifications to zero in the settings (sound & vibration > vibration intensity). This, however, also disables vibration for WhatsApp and Signal Calls. Does anybody have an idea? [link] [comments] |

A small spot area (1 cm2 area in top middle) in the touch screen does not work on ONLY home screen. If i respond to a message within the chat bubble it wont be marked as read in the app. And if i respond to the message within the app, the chat bubble is markes as unread. | How do I block an email texting me? Posted: 03 Feb 2021 10:36 AM PST In an effort to cut a person out of my life I blocked their number from my phone. So now instead, they send me texts from their gmail. No matter what I try I can't seem to block the messages from the email. I've tried muting the conversation but when I open my messages app, I still see the things they send me which I'd rather avoid as well because they're generally not good messages. I also tried adding the email to their contact and blocking it again, but I still get the texts from their email. How can I block the texts from the email? To clarify, it isn't that they're emailing me, but they're texting my number via their gmail. I get the messages as texts, not emails. My carrier is Verizon and my phone is a Samsung Galaxy. I'm using Ipega 9023s and I have discovered that games like super Mario world (emulated) have delay when pressing keys, sometimes It don't recognise it at all. | Posted: 03 Feb 2021 10:24 AM PST Hey android lovers. I am in the market for a new phone. Currently running a LG v30 on at&t Had it for about 4.5 years and its served me well. But the battery is bad on it on a full charge it's got "8" hours of life before it needs to be charged. I have had a couple LG phones (v10, v30) and I enjoy them with their 3.5mm jack and expandable storage (for pictures and music) but I may stray away from LG because I've heard that they're leaving the phone business. Been looking at OnePlus Nord n10 5G, Pixel 5, and the A71 5g. Not sure if I want to buy a cheaper phone or if I should buy an expensive one just to use until it doesn't work well. Thoughts on my choice? My gf has the A71 (non 5g) and it's been great but it's a huge phone and I've read that the A72 is on the horizon [link] [comments] |

| Posted: 03 Feb 2021 09:58 AM PST My husband died recently, and on his phone he had recorded a whole set of Waze voice directions. I'm pretty sure he recorded them in the Waze app. I really want to save these recordings of his voice. I've found a lot of posts about how to do the reverse, download audio files and install them for use in Waze. But I want to find the audio files for these clips recorded in Waze and save them to my computer. From his phone, in the Waze app, I was able to share them to myself via email. There's a "share" button and it sends a waze.com link, which when you click it, it automatically downloads them to your Waze account. I did that on my phone and it worked, so now I have the set on Waze on my phone, but I still cannot find the mp3 files on either phone. It seems Waze has made it impossible to find their files on your phone unless your phone is rooted, which seems above my technical skill level. Does anyone have any recommendations? Further details and what I've tried: My phone is a Galaxy Note9 with T-Mobile as my carrier. His phone is a Galaxy S10 which used to have T-Mobile, but I disconnected the service and now it's just connected to Wi-Fi. I have tried exploring the files in the phone using the phone itself and by plugging both phones in on my computer and searching for them, including searching for the folder /data/data/com.waze. But I can't find anything. I have not tried rooting my phone or his, because I don't really know what that is and don't want to possibly mess up either phone. P.S. I know I could just manually record them with a recorder, but I'd like to have the original files to preserve the quality. [link] [comments] |
| New voicemail notification wont leave Posted: 03 Feb 2021 09:40 AM PST This happened on my old phone and it's actually why I got a new one cause its so frustrating. I have an s10 if that's important this notification wont leave and when I press on it says to enter password, then I get the password wrong cause I don't know wtf its even talking about, then it says to press star if I want to leave, I press it, the notification disappears for a few seconds then returns, even though I blocked the number. I tried clearing the cache and data from the phone app, blocking the number, deleting all voicemails, but it never leaves. Please im begging for help at this point. [link] [comments] |

Posted: 03 Feb 2021 02:14 AM PST I switch from a Xiaomi to a Pixel and I would like to be able to select what apps to transfer to my new phone, because there is not reason to move all that useless Xiaomi bloatware to the new phone. I thought that one option would be to remove all that bloatware using dedicated tools before the transfer, but I am also looking for a simpler solution. What would be the best approach? Following it by connecting the mobile with laptop with Vivo Fastboot installed in it and then rebooting the mobile in Fastboot mode. I saw this method on YouTube and google,but this method won't work saying something like "the device is locked" or something like that. So i need the help in how to unlock the bootloader and how to successfully root the device. The android version is 6.0.1 Model no: vivo 1606.
