    I just picked up the 8BitDo Wireless USB Adapter and plugged it into my AndroidTV set (TCL 50S434). It allowed me to connect my Nintendo Switch Pro Controller seamlessly and I'm currently using it for retro gaming on the TV! There's no noticeable latency, as opposed to the serious lag you would encounter when trying to connect to the TV's built-in Bluetooth. I know newer versions of Android should fix this latency issue, but who knows when a new version will come to the TV.

    I'm assuming this would work wonders for DualShock and Xbox controllers as well, but I don't have either of those controllers to test so there's no personal guarantee there. If you plan on using Joy-Cons with this adapter, know that it only connects with one Joy-Con and not the pair.

    PS. I made sure to update the firmware on the adapter before connecting the controller. The upgrade tool from 8BitDo requires a PC/Mac to use.

    Title. It's frustrating as fuck. Why can't I just use the Stadia controller on Android TV? This is dumb. They even have bluetooth but it's intentionally disabled.

    I purchased the Sony X800H and it has AndroidTV built-in. I need some recommendations and advice on how to get the most out of it.

    My whole tech eco-system is around Apple. HomeKit, Apple TVs, iPhone, iPad, MacBooks etc. This is literally my first time dealing with AndroidTV. The first thing I got is Kodi and add my local library to it. Any other Kodi tips? Android TV tips?

    Volume and other buttons stop working (CWGTV)

    Strange experience tonight.

    After watching stuff on our CWGTV we hit the on/off button (1/0) on the remote. Nothing happened. Volume up and down buttons didn't work. Neither did the Input button. All other buttons, including Mute, worked fine!

    I finally took a battery out of the remote and bingo! everything works.

    Strange. Has anyone else had this experience?

    Current Chromecast with Google TV Issues

    Is anyone else having the following issues with certain apps on their Chromecast with Google TV?

    CNN - Doesn't fully open. When the app is launched it shows a CNN loading screen and then crashes back to the home page.

    NBC Sports - When I try to play any live event the app returns an internal error message saying 'Unable to retrieve data. Retry"

    Hulu - Nothing will play in 5.1 surround (even via casting from my phone). Hulu lists the Chromev6 w/GTV as compatible, but not titles list 5.1 in the details page.

    Note, I've done basic troubleshooting with no success (reinstall, clear cache/data, etc.). Also, on my Roku device plugged into the same TV all of the above issues do not occur.

    How do you save the factory settings for overscan on a skyworth tv?

    How does one save the changes made in Factory Mode of a Skyworth smart TV? I have a 55UB7500 skyworth 4k uhd TV and I'm experiencing an overscan issue, where the edges of the HDMI inputs are being cut off. I'm able to enter factory mode, and fix the issue, but the problem persists as it seems I cannot update the TV's firmware. Does anyone know how to write/save the changes made back to the firmware?

    Few Qs on Android TV and programs

    First...on TiViMate 1. While recording shows with TiViMate, does it has the stay on the same channel which is recorded or I can browse to another? 2. Does PVR works even with TV on Live Channels or - might sound stupid, with TV turned off - as Sky Q does? 3. How to change recordings directory from default (on TV) to a connected USB device?

    Second round on accessibility 1. Can't access it. I need it to remap buttons and to activate Twilight. 2. Is there a workaround to get to accessibility or a program that gives me access to it?

    Third...sound on my TV - Saba/Changhong, is...crap! I can't get a right settings to make it work. Sometimes voices are lower than music - in movies, sometimes is sounds to be in a stadium. Tried every possible setting and I can't get it right. I don't want to hook up a soundbar, even if I know that I ultimately need to.

    Fourth Sometimes I need just to make the screen black but leave the voices on. Is there an app?

    Where's the NEXT button for YouTube App?

    I own a Sony KD75X800H (XBR75X800H?) android TV. Android v 9.0, latest firmware.

    I make use of the YouTube app within the TV. Why is the "Next Video" button missing? If i want to skip to the next video i must always scrub / seek forward to the end then play the existing video to time it out before i can skip to the next video (or rather next Ad -- always with the ads) . It would be nice if there was the usual Next icon to tap onto to move to the next video.

    Is it possible to use Button Mapper or a way to unlock this obvious feature?

    Anyone know why I can't connect google tv to 5ghz connection

    Hello there,

    Anyone having issues connecting to the 5ghz connection, but the 2.4 is perfect, I changed the mhz and the channel I can see the wifi connection but it stays on connecting to the wifi then suddenly changes to cannot find the connection.

    Any ideas

    Reliable app to block ads in Hulu and Youtube on Android TV (Chromecast with android tv)

    I have tried Blockada, Adguard and AdAway and none of these apps are able to black ads on youtube and hulu on android tv. I know i can use Smart Youtube but you dont get trending and recommendations similar to stock YT app. Any latest tested/working app working for you guys?

    Have 2 Chromecast TVs in different rooms. Used voice command on remote and it turned on the other tv, any idea what happened and how to fix? The tvs are on different floors and not close.

    Downloading HBO Max on Nvidia Shield in Canada?

    I managed to get a subscription to HBO Max here in Canada and I was looking to buy a Nvidia Shield to stream it on my television.

    Is there anything special I would need to do to load the app on a shield?

    I have a canadian google account and I use Windscribe for a VPN service.

    Wanted to see if this works before I shell out the $$ for a shield.

    Also, would this be possible on one of the new Chromecasts? That would be nice since it's a little bit cheaper.
