" I tried App launcher for TV on my TCL Android TV, and it brought up a bunch of additional apps that didn't show up in the Apps section on the default launcher. Another great thing about the app is that it lets you easily open installed APKs on your TV, including those that aren't native to Android TV. But its best feature is that it does all of this without replacing your TV's default launcher, so you can easily go back to your content recommendations whenever you feel like it. "

Running curl commands from nvidia shield tv?

    Posted: 18 Dec 2020 01:32 AM PST

I set up button remapper on the shield tv and am trying to hit the home assistant api with a curl post command. I have the command working fine from button remapper on my samsung phone, but the same exact command gives me a /system/bin/curl command not found when trying it from button remapper on the shield TV. What's the easiest way to get this working. I don't want to have to root the android tv. Or maybe there another way I can call the home assistant api?

    Xiaomi Mi stick keeps restarting

    Posted: 18 Dec 2020 04:00 AM PST

Ive had the xiaomi mi stick for a few weeks now. At first it worked great, but than it randomly started turning off and on again, while I would just be watching things on it.

I read I should change the power from the USB in the tv, to a power socket, so I did that. It seemed to help for a few days, but now it randomly starts doing it again.

Anyone else have the same problem or know how to fix it?

    Please help. Thanks it advance.

    Best regards, Naomi

Is it possible to "force" Dolby Digital?

    Posted: 17 Dec 2020 09:11 AM PST

My TV and A/V receiver aren't compatible together with Dolby Digital+ and up. If I use my TVs native apps, DD+ and up sound like garbled noise. Is there options on "Google TV" to force the use of Dolby Digital output, so I can continue to use HDMI connections. (I don't want to use optical cables).
