| What is the "Victor" service on android? Posted: 19 Dec 2020 09:02 AM PST I have accidentally encountered a heavy network consuming service named Victor on my pixel 4. It got me pretty concerned, being the 2nd most network consuming app in my phone (right after the chrome app), which I am not even aware of. I'd be glad for some clarification on that matter. | Samsung Galaxy S10+ Random Rebooting Problem Posted: 19 Dec 2020 12:15 AM PST Okay, I'm not sure if this is the proper place to post this, but I'm at a loss of total frustration and very close to smashing this device with a hammer. Before you ask and leave an ineffectivr comment, yes, I've tried EVERYTHING. I've checked all the settings, I've wiped cache partition, I've even factory reset and redownloaded all my apps, reconfigured EVERYTHING. In the middle of doing anything, (no rhyme or reason, doesnt matter what app since it happens at least three times a day for about 2 months now) it shows "SAMSUNG" like it had just reboot. Locks me out, then has me re enter my pin, not my fingerprint in order to unlock. "Starting your phone," and all that bull. It can even happen in my pocket without my knowing and when i really need to use it, OPE! nope..gotta re align my phone to startup again. Ive almost been late to work because random rebooting killed my alarm, and samsung will only have the vibrate function part of the alarm work after rebooted without having fully unlocked with a PIN. Thanks again, Samsung. I liked Samsung as a phone maker and an electronic company up to this point From their unique android skin that likely boggs down the UI to the legendary exploding batteries in the Note 8, i should have known. Excuse my rant 😅 if this gets deleted immediately i guess i had it coming. Posted: 19 Dec 2020 09:03 AM PST I have a Samsung Note 9 that every so often when I receive texts they come with a series of numbers and letters like a code. It will do this for a while and then stop for a while. I don't think I do anything in particular but maybe I am and I just don't realize it. Code Example: ~AzWznQBQyiN62wg Each code is different. I've tried all the basics like restarting my phone, making sure that my phone was updated, clearing the cache, deleting all text messages and starting fresh. I haven't downloaded any apps recently, or received any weird text messages it could be malicious. I don't know if it is related, but I also have issues with texts that I send to group messages going to each individual person. Any help would be much appreciated! TIA [link] [comments] |

Today the Android 11 update was pushed to my phone along with the One UI 3.0 Advanced messaging is a new feature with this update. However when I try to access it it gives me this error: You may have a feature that blocks messaging enabled for your phone number.You'll need to turn off this feature in order to be updated to Advanced Messaging. You can either manage these settings through My Verizon or by giving us a call at 800-922-0204. I've tried everything and nothing is working. Does any one have any clue as to how to fix this? (I want in app language always English, and this isn't my system's language "which is Arabic", Note: I don't want to change the system language, I just want to change every app I will install in the future of my system's language to English language). I've got my grandma an Android TV box, which they kind of learned to use for some of the stuff (Skype with auto call accept, YouTube and opening Gallery to see what I've sent via WhatsApp). Something happened there. It's still working, but doesn't accept WhatsApp videos anymore and occasionally glitches out. I'd like to set something up to be able to connect to their box and help them out with such issues. Before leaving the country I've installed TeamViewer on it, but now it says something about outdated version, when trying to connect, even though I've tried all versions from 8 to 14. Are there any other, more reliable options that she would be able to set up with relative ease? Appreciate any suggestions. I have googled, asked the questions in Android forums and the individual app tech support, but can't find any answer that isn't anything I haven't tried. So my siblings and I decided to get her one for Christmas. We bought a Xiaomi Redmi 9c and we don't want her to feel overwhelmed by all the functions etc. While she isn't completely tech illiterate (she uses a computer for basic browsing, emailing etc.), she might be having a hard time adjusting. | Bug with whatsapp/messenger video calls on android (pocophone f1 phone) Posted: 19 Dec 2020 02:25 AM PST Hello eveybody, So as stated in the title, I have a slight problem since approximately september 2020 with my videocalls. Everytime I have a videocall, the microphone just doesn't work (on whatsapp and on messenger). I checked with normal calls (still on whatsapp and messenger) and I have no problems with my microphone. I tried to reboot my phone, check the permissions, test the microphone, clear cache and data, reinstall both whatsapp and messenger, and finally, i've reset my phone (factory data reset) and it's still not working... Does somebody know what can/should I do? Or if somebody had a similar problem and if a solution had been found? (sorry for any mistake, english it's not my first language). | How do I reset the Mock Location App on Samsung S8? Posted: 19 Dec 2020 01:24 AM PST I was on the developer settings on my Samsung S8, and I saw the setting called "Mock Location App" and I clicked on it. The only option is "nothing" with no icon. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Google App Update and turned on notifications and also did a system settings reset as well a reboot.
