| Update available for CCWGTV and remote Posted: 22 Nov 2020 09:23 PM PST Brings the Chromecast with Google TV to QTS2.200918.015.6966301 and the remote firmware to 24.2. Biggest change I've seen is the settings format/appearance is now more in line with normal Android TV. Hopefully fixes some of the bugs we've been seeing as well. [link] [comments] | ||

Below are some notes I feel would make it better. Let's hear yours... •In the phone app have a way to search the users source subscription channels eg disney plus. •Also the ability to select a source channel and see new movies or shows ect. •Have the ablity to once a show or movie has been selected to watch on your phone but also one option to select for your Google TV devices linked. Then it turns on the TV if needed, but if it is already on, it started the selected show or movie. Side note, google still needs to fix the sync between the app and the Google TV devices /account linked. Add to watchlist feature. Some times it works sometimes not so much. [link] [comments] | ||

The google tv launcher boots but its stuck constantly loading, nothings loaded. Tv works fine just not on the launcher. Any suggestions? Any other apps I could try updating etc? I looked at this XDA thread, but it needs root. Kindly let me know if there's a solution that doesn't require root. I can avoid this headache by buying OEM Nvidia Shield remote, but our infant destroys remotes every couple of months. So, buying cheap remotes for 10 - 12$ and then remap. [link] [comments] | ||

But I am afraid that the image will look bad because this is not a full HD TV. I see in the specs that it supports 1080p video formats but I don't know what that really means. Can you guys help me? | Sceptre a55 Android TV keeps switching source input on its own, randomly. Posted: 22 Nov 2020 12:40 PM PST Hello, I bought this TV a few weeks ago on sale from Wal-Mart for only $230. It's only had one issue so far. When using the HDMI 1 input to display my laptop's screen, via Mini DisplayPort cable, it will randomly switch back to the "home" screen/source of the TV. It's happened when no buttons on any devices are pressed, and it appears to be completely random. I haven't tested the other HDMI ports yet, because I feel like this is something that shouldn't happen at all. The rate at which it happens is infrequent, maybe like once or twice during a couple hour period, but it's annoying. Any ideas what could cause spontaneous source changes? [link] [comments] | ||
