Posted: 25 Aug 2020 10:55 PM PDT So my brother got some water down his headphone jack for his LGX Power. He tries rebooting and it gives him either a green or a light purple screen with crash report text. It sometimes says there is a Kernel crash or will say that the error is unknown. In the board info, it says word for word (secure boot : What's is that?) Really confused on what that all means. I'm sure the phone is done for, just need answers. [link] [comments] |

| Posted: 26 Aug 2020 05:23 AM PDT Hi everyone. I'm trying to get to the bottom of a random issue that I have been having on my fairly new TCL 10 Pro. For no reason that I can see, my keyboard randomly stops working properly. Sometimes it's fine and I can tap type (thumb typer) very quick with no issues. My primary app is SwiftKey, but this issue also appears on gboard and Fleksy. When it happens, keypresses will be missed, words get deleted, and the keyboard closes randomly. If I type ridiculously slow, then it will usually be fine, but this is obviously not ideal. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling keyboard apps, clearing cache or app data, turning off battery optimizations for keyboard apps, hard resets...nothing seems to work. It's frustrating because I love this phone otherwise (TCL 10 Pro). Any advice for how I can remedy this situation? I'm running android 10 on the July security patch. Thanks for any help! Sometimes it become gradually non-responsive and slow (for like a minute or two) than crash the app and than reboot. After reboot I still see running apps. I guess it is not a complete reboot which cleans everything. After reboot it fast as usual. It happens like 2-3 times a day. One time it show a message like "Security violation debugger attached have been detected" (not sure about exact wording due to the message disappeared in like half a second). How to recover a log with an error? How to catch what causes an error? [link] [comments] |

Or can I have my administrator authorize it to be used as a personal profile? I would prefer if the apps were not separate. For example having two separate calendars is quite inconvenient. I read that a damaged emmc boars could cause apps to crash constantly and that is one of my problems aside from random restarts. Today I've tried to edit a video using the gallery app, but it kept crashing every time I pressed the 'edit' button. I've tried deleting cache, storage, force stop, check for updates, reboot and turn off completely for a few minutes, but the problem wasn't solved. | First new phone in 4 years, What is the best way to set it up? Posted: 26 Aug 2020 09:19 AM PDT I just got a Galaxy Note 10 Plus, my first new phone in 4 years. I've noticed that it came with a couple random apps that I'm really not interested in keeping, and is also behind on a year's worth of updates. I'm accustomed to wiping hard drives and reinstalling the OS anytime I buy a laptop because companies love putting on useless software out of the factory, but I'm pretty sure it doesn't work that way for smart phones. Would a hard reset help me or is that unnecessary? Is there a resource somewhere on which apps to keep and just generally how to maintain a smart phone? The last phone I got, I went crazy trying to disable/optimize stuff early on and it ended up working kind of wonky most of the time that I had it. Thanks very much for reading. [link] [comments] |

I don't know what it might be, i thought about humidity because it was a hot day, but the cellphone was cold and it was in a place hidden from the sun, so i thought it was only discharged. When i got home i pluged it, the phone vibrated, the red light went on, and started blinking, but then disappears and keeps vibrating and the huwai simbol doesn't appear. I tried to hide it going to the gestures menu in settings and disable all gestures but this button keeps showing up at the bottom left corner and it's pretty annoying since I'm left handed and now I'm constantly clicking on it. | Is there an app to emulate an iPhone so that I can use an Apple watch at its full potential? Posted: 26 Aug 2020 08:04 AM PDT So it's no secret that the Apple watch is one of the best smart watches available, even a lot of Android users own them. When I try to find solutions to use one with Android, the popular way I have found while googling is to get the expensive LTE compatible Apple watch and doing the start up on an iPhone and then putting my sim back into my Android but with that solution numerous features of the watch won't work which doesn't make it worth it since the reason to get an Apple watch is for the features. So I was thinking if it was possible to have an emulator or virtual machine of an ios device on my Android so that I can use all the features of the watch on my 'iphone'? I tried finding one myself but when I downloaded the most popular ios 'emulator' app, I found out it was just a ios looking launcher with its own app store, which most likely won't cut it. Since then, I've been getting persistent pop-ups from Chrome with URLs like: dispense.club, superpushoffer.club, rewards.club... Here is what I have done to try and fix this. I deleted all unused apps by going into safe mode, and removing them. I only have the basic Android apps plus a few more like the New York Times, Reddit, and Twitter official apps. I also installed Malwarebytes and did a normal scan and a deep scan. Neither scan found anything bad. I then installed AdBlocker for Chrome. I also made sure to delete all Chrome data and history. But even with all this, I am still getting the same pop-ups. I am coming from an iPhone and never encountered anything like this before. Is there anything else I can do? Thanks! [link] [comments] |

Recently, I acquired a really old LG P500h, and reset it so that I could set it back up with my own Google account instead of the previous owner's account. To my horror, once I had reset it, the Play Store was no longer on the device; it had been replaced by the old Android Marketplace app. Attempting to open this app only resulted in multiple server errors, so that definitely isn't gonna get me anywhere. I tried downloading a Play Store APK file meant for 2.2 and up, but the phone wouldn't let me install it for some reason even though I enabled the installation of non-Marketplace apps. Is there anything I can do? I can't update any of my apps without the Play Store, so I absolutely have to get it or I can't use the phone at all. [link] [comments] |

To make it more clear on what I'm looking for, a use case would be: Let's say I already have set Facebook Messenger to not have access on Microphone/Camera, and then I take a call. This is going to change these settings to allowed so I can successfully make a call. I though it was some kind of virus, so I formated it with Odin3, using method with re partition and nand erase just to make sure it wasn't installed in boot/system file. After i did that, 2 hours later when i looked into my phone i saw another application installed, some another random game. I looked into applications list, and checked that application came from galaxy store, when i never ever opened it. What can I do? They get stucked while loading, everytime at the same percentage. I search for a fix online and never found it. I noticed it didn't happened when I was in WiFi or in roaming. I talked with a friend, and he gave me a possible reason: packets have different size in ipv4 or ipv6. So I looked in the APN settings of my network, and effictively, I was in ipv6 while in ipv4 in wifi and roaming. I changed it to ipv4, and now everything works fine.
