| Chat Features not supported on Pixel 4a Posted: 22 Aug 2020 04:13 AM PDT I've had my new phone for about 3 days now and noticed I wasn't receiving texts from a few people. After troubleshooting with them it turns out that having Chat Features enabled on their device prevents me from receiving their messages. When I go to the setting for Chat Features on my device it says "Chat Features unavailable for this device. Your device does not currently support this feature." If this is true I wasn't aware of it and can't find that information anywhere. I don't wanna believe that's the case and hope it's some sort of technical issue. Any advice? [link] [comments] |

| Can't Choose Where to Download Files Posted: 22 Aug 2020 12:57 PM PDT I'm trying to download some files from one of my apps to my android phone hooked up to an external hard drive. However, the app will not let me download to the hard drive, and instead auto installs to the Downloads folder in my internal storage. When an app doesn't let you choose a download location, is there anyway around this where I can force the app to download files where I want it to? [link] [comments] |

Now the thing is, I want all the apps that can be moved, to move to my SD Card. I also want all the default location for saving to be transferred to the SD card. I also want all the content of the apps (such as photos, videos etc) to be moved from the internal storage to the SD card. Now there are a lot of apps. He uninstalled Airbnb, the problem not solved, the default Samsung antivirus did not detect anything, any idea why is this happening and how to fix it? [link] [comments] |

| Samsung OneUI - Disable 4 permanent apps at the bottom of the home screen Posted: 22 Aug 2020 08:36 AM PDT Using a Galaxy S20, latest updates across the board. Looked around through the settings for an option to disable the tray holding 4 permanent apps at the bottom of the home screen. I'd like one home page dedicated to a few apps I need often, another dedicated to some custom widgets. I'd like these widgets to use the entire screen ideally, but I can't figure out how to turn the tray at the bottom of the screen into regular home screen space. Is there any way to do this with stock OneUI or would I need a different launcher? Appreciate any tips [link] [comments] |

| Posted: 22 Aug 2020 11:44 AM PDT Hey everyone. I recently upgraded from the Galaxy s8+ to the S20+. Ever since upgrading, I've noticed that my phone is consistently unable to connect to use network features. I can be connected to my wifi, which isn't the issue, and it'll show a valid connection, but websites and apps that require network will all fail to load. The same goes for mobile data. Whenever this happens, I have to restart my phone and then network features will resume working again, but only for about an hour or so. This is causing simple tasks that should take a few moments to take up to 10 minutes to complete. Sometimes I'll have an important text to send and I'll have to restart my entire phone just to send it. I've also been locked out of multiple accounts because when I try to log in, the log on will dial due to network issues, and then eventually I get locked out. I was wondering if anyone else has been experiencing this on their s20? [link] [comments] |

And it has been blocking access to a specific IP address from my phone and then reporting it to me. This attempt happens multiple times a day. I've 3 different apps, but audio doesn't work on any, and always comes out of my phone, not my pc speakers. I've turned on mic/audio settings on pc/android. | Split screening taken off in new OS? Posted: 22 Aug 2020 11:06 AM PDT I put off the new OS cause i knew it would be annoying, and it forced itself through, and now, i cant split screen? I used to be able to have two apps open on the screen, when if open the "task manager" or app switcher thing, it would have a button in each app offering to lock it, or split screen it, but both are gone now. Posted: 22 Aug 2020 10:22 AM PDT Playerpro just doesn't seem to read enough of my music tags properly, I tried accomodating the album artists needing to match artist tag but I'm still getting some weird and kind of annoying results. I recently re-tagged and checked most of my music to see if there was anything weird there but nothing I could find (used musicbrainz Picard). So yeah, free, no ad music players bare minimum read the artist and album tag OR organise by your folders on your SD card? Anything else is a bonus at this point lol. I'm open to non free and off play store suggestions too but I'd like the focus to be free no ads on play store. [link] [comments] |

Another bug I found is that when I type a number, then backspace one number, it retypes all the numbers I've typed before that too. (example: I type 123, backspace 3 and then type 4. | Google App: Can't open assistant results in a browser anymore Posted: 22 Aug 2020 08:26 AM PDT Note 10+ on Verizon. I like to use assistant for searching by voice, but hit the Google search button to get the results in my browser but there is no option that I can see to open outside of the Google App anymore. I assume they're trying to trap you in the Google App for data mining since you can't even get to Chrome(no three dots option). Any way out? All options are not available for narrowing searches such as by time in the Google App. I'm also missing all of my browser extensions and history. | Posted: 22 Aug 2020 07:09 AM PDT I recently dropped my android on the floor while it was charging, bending the head and possibly damaging the charger port. A picture of the bent charger head is available here. When I insert the charger head into the charger port, it doesn't connect properly. I can't see any noticeable structural damage to either (not that I'd even know what to look for), so I'm wondering how I can ascertain whether the issue lies with the charger or charging port. Additionally, I'm wondering if this mandates replacement of either part or whether homemade fixes exist. EDIT: I'm currentl quarantining and delivery would be a hassle, so I would prefer fixes that don't require me to have a new cord. [link] [comments] |
