Am I the only one that is pleased with the aesthetic of Android UI's? Posted: 09 Jul 2020 11:12 PM PDT Be it the Samsung One UI, Xiaomi MIUI, Huawei EMUI, LG UX, Color OS, or Oxygen OS there's always something about the layouts and formatting of the UI's that pleases the eye. A fresh clean look and the organisation of a lot of UI's are what make for that aesthetically pleasing look on a phone. And on top of that you get the physical design and clean look on that same device. Idk about you guys I personally find the look of a lot of Huawei, Oppo, Samsung and Xiaomi phones eye-catching. And when you get a clean looking OS with a beautiful stock background it's just beautiful, that's why I never changed the background on my S10+. Stock backgrounds always tend to be my favourite part of the phone. Nonetheless, Android really is outdoing themselves with the look of their operating system with each version, at least to me. Call recording will probably not come to Android R Posted: 10 Jul 2020 01:27 AM PDT That's too bad. It was rumored for years, much more than the recent scrolling screenshot feature that also won't be added. I know it was never official, but at least we had this ability, in some cases, on third party apps. Instead of being more open and offering it officially (even as a built in feature it could be nice, as a start), it became the opposite. Here's the quote:

In order to transfer files between devices, the phone's destination folder must be configured first in Plugin settings > Share and receive. The Windows default folder is Downloads, and can be changed. For those of you dissatisfied with the Windows 'Your Phone' feature, this is a great alternative. [link] [comments]

Android OEMs need to finally step up the game of hapatic feedback. Posted: 09 Jul 2020 04:37 AM PDT Been enjoying my Android phones for past few years and just got a 11 Pro and Im just blown away by the haptic feedback. It's trully a feature that transforms the way you use the phone in a 3D way. The keyboard literally feels like you are pressing on a physical keyboard. It's that good. The feedback is so strong and feels like 3D not just flat boring "bzzzzz". Ive been told Google has improved it with latest Pixel phones which is good news. But seriously most of Android phones don't even come close to the level of the iPhone. Not only that but it feels for Android OEMs it's not a feature they care at all. Ive watched several videos from Jerryrigeverything and when you see how massive the thing is in an iPhone compared to a typical one on an Android it's clear why there is so much difference. The post-camera technology race with screen Hz. Is it worth it? Posted: 09 Jul 2020 06:04 AM PDT Dear fellow Redditors, I keep noticing the uprise of the latest trend of going from 60, to 90/120Hz screen refresh time. Hence why I would like to ask those lucky owners of flagships with such high refresh rates, if they actually use them, or have disabled them for the longevity of the phone battery. I see this criteria being mentioned in every single damn review, either as a pros, or a con, although I'm not sure to what extent this technology is useful in every day life. Could you kindly elaborate, if that's not a simple gimmick and actually is worth the money? Thank you [link] [comments]
