What do you think future phones will look like? Posted: 23 Jul 2020 10:18 AM PDT Are they gonna have the camera hole, put the camera under the display, popup camera or something else altogether? [link] [comments] |
How do I insert the SIM card into my Samsung Galaxy J7? Posted: 23 Jul 2020 12:18 PM PDT I feel silly asking it, but all the tutorials about it on YouTube just confuse me even more. Am I suppose to insert it into the thing I've circled in pink? I tried to open it with my nails and with a paper clip but failed. What am I doing wrong? Any help would be much appreciated! https://imgur.com/gallery/BuNhP94 [link] [comments] |
Google Play Update Distribution Posted: 23 Jul 2020 12:05 PM PDT Few months ago i have published an update for an app we are developing. It was an early public release, client was in a hurry for a public release even tho we were advising them to wait for a few weeks until we finish stabilization. Earlier that month i did refactoring of application update and switched from our custom implementation of forced update to googles in-app update implementation without option for flexible updates and supported immediate updates only. We tested it in beta phase and it worked as expected. So when i uploaded this app update, lets say v 1.0.0. and few hours later we published new update ( i know, not a good practice, we dont get to choose tho ), lets say v 1.0.1. I am wondering if anyone can explain to me how does Google Play distributes updates and if anyone can explain to me why did the users with old version were still able to log in, without forced update? Google Photos doesn't support scrollable screenshots apparently, anyway to fix that? Posted: 23 Jul 2020 11:22 AM PDT Is there a way to fix that? The screenshots doesn't adapt to the screen width. This is the limit: https://imgur.com/a/4OezJxZ I can't zoom the image more than that. [link] [comments] |
Bypass fingerprint and pin loch Posted: 23 Jul 2020 10:53 AM PDT Is there anyway to bypass this? My mum recently passed away and we can't get into her phone [link] [comments] |
Posted: 23 Jul 2020 10:45 AM PDT So, i recently got a Samsung A51, for the most part its been great, but i was watching John Wick 3, and there seems to be no ambient noise whatsoever, but when i increase the volume it comes back, and whenever a characters speaks u can hear wind and stuff, but not when nobody's talking, this happens with music too, when a piano's keys are being held down, the volume completely drops, but when i increase the volume i can hear it. It's really annoying tbh, it gets me completely out of the movie or music. Ive tried to google this but i cant find any results [link] [comments] |
My new phone won't connect to my PC Posted: 23 Jul 2020 10:42 AM PDT I have an Xperia X Compact with a cracked screen, so bought another brand new Xperia X Compact off ebay. My old one is actually a F5321, and my new a SO-02J, but both Xperia X Compact. I just got it and I can't connect it to my PC. What I mean is that absolutely nothing happens on my PC or phone. Only the charging light comes on after a while. That's another thing that's weird: when I plug my phone to a PC or AC power, it takes 8 seconds for it to respond and start charging. My old phone starts immediately. I have tried: 3 different PC's (Windows 10). All work with my old phone. 3 different cables. Including the included cable. All work with my old phone. Doesn't show up in Device Manager. My old phone does. USB Debugging ON under Developer Options does nothing. Works on my old phone (gives notification). What more can I do? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 23 Jul 2020 09:52 AM PDT So I have a Samsung Galaxy Edge 7 when I see the phone storage it tells me I am using 30 GB but I checked my files and it should be nowhere near that and I think its slowing my phone, any suggestions? [link] [comments] |
Please help, my phone keeps auto "skipping" Posted: 23 Jul 2020 09:27 AM PDT It's an Honor V10 running Android 10. The two apps shown are all downloaded from Google Play and are the newest version. As shown in the video, my phone just keeps auto skipping everything. I enabled show visual touches and you can see me desperately try to stop it. It happened first a while back when I redownloaded Duolingo but then I thought it was the app's fault and forgot about it. Recently I downloaded Crowdsource and it's happening again. About 30 seconds into the video I switched it to landscape mode and it's still bugged, so I doubt it's the touchscreen's problem. Besides literally every other apps work just fine without similar problems. I can live without using these two apps but I'm curious if anyone has any idea what the issue might be. [link] [comments] |
Will the release of M31s affect sales of A51? Posted: 23 Jul 2020 09:19 AM PDT I think M31s will be under 20,000 INR and offer similar specs to the A51 which is 25,000 INR. [link] [comments] |
Is there a way to disable vibration for all notifications? Posted: 23 Jul 2020 09:00 AM PDT I only found an option to disable vibration for calls (Galaxy A50, Android 10). Thanks! [link] [comments] |
Posted: 23 Jul 2020 05:09 AM PDT So, yesterday i was downloading an apk file, and it must have been the wrong one because when i installed it, there was no name to it, and when i installed, my phone notified me that the installed software had malware, and deleted it instantly. And today i woke up and my snap had a few random new friend requests, is it possible my phone has become infected and my info has been leaked. What do i do in that case? [link] [comments] |

What is the point of having both a "DCIM" folder and a "Pictures/Movies"folder? Posted: 23 Jul 2020 04:30 AM PDT It puts the mess in the internal storage and I don't understand the difference. What does DCIM even mean? Thanks for your help. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 23 Jul 2020 08:08 AM PDT I'm looking for a mobile app that would have support for both PDF thumbnails and SMB shares, and I've been desperately looking for this for the past day or so. I've also posted the same question in other forums with no answers. Most file explorers can do it with pictures like JPGs and PNGs, or even videos, but I absolutely cannot find anything that does it for PDFs. The absolute closest I could find are Xodo and ReadEra, which are readers, and they both have file preview, but neither of them seem to be compatible with SMB shares. The easiest SMB share connector I've found is Total Commander, but it doesn't have file preview. Alternately, if I could have some way of mounting an SMB drive as a "folder" that an app can then see and use, it could also work. The tablet used is a cheap RCA Android tablet but this doesn't matter as it should be something applicable to any Android device. I also saw that someone asked a similar question 2 years ago but got no answer beyond "it might not even exist". [link] [comments] |
Posted: 23 Jul 2020 07:39 AM PDT Hello, I am considering buying a samsung galaxy s8, but am worried because I heard that it will soon not be supported anymore. What happens to an android when it is no longer supported? Will this be a big problem? I intend to use it mainly for everyday use, not gaming or so. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 23 Jul 2020 07:34 AM PDT I own a Samsung Galaxy A70, and everytime i download mp3 files some of them get deleted. I also noticed that they disappeared at random and sometimes the newer ones would be the ones who do so. Any advice/solution to this? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 23 Jul 2020 01:31 AM PDT I was in a situation last night where I had to phone 911 in Canada. I own a Galaxy s20 Ultra. Once I hung up, I got two notifications from call settings and an app 'emergency information'. My phone pulled my location and unblocked all numbers for the next two hours. I searched to access this app, but I couldn't open it or alter the permissions. Where does it put the info? Who collects it? Why can't I adjust the settings? I know there is a feature to add emergency information to the lock screen, I just mean a different app. Sorry for the formatting, I'm on mobile. [link] [comments] |
Very tech illiterate so help is appreciated! Posted: 23 Jul 2020 07:27 AM PDT I've realised I can't post a photo here so I will do my absolute best to describe my problem, I really appreciate anyone who can help. I will also try keep it super brief and easy to understand. -I have a galaxy a71 -There is a vertical line on the right side of the screen to indicate (I think) the volume buttons. -The line has moved lower and is not in line with the volume buttons How can I fix this? I would really really appreciate any help, as I'm really not good with phones, thanks in advance! [link] [comments] |
Can't unlock my phone's bootloader Posted: 23 Jul 2020 07:21 AM PDT In an attempt to fix a brick on my OnePlus 6T caused by messing up when installing a custom ROM, I flashed a T Mobile Version of Oxygen OS on my phone. However, this locked my bootloader and prevented me from getting rid of it, and apparently the only way to get the unlock code is to contact T Mobile with my device's IMEI (which won't work because this wasn't originally a T Mobile phone). Is there any other way I can unlock the bootloader? [link] [comments] |

Send YouTube video to Android TV Posted: 22 Jul 2020 09:12 PM PDT A few years ago I was able to send videos from my Pixel 2 YouTube app to my Samsung TV. Important note: SEND! NOT CAST to TV. I mean I would find a video in the app on my phone and within one click this video was already playing in my TV's YouTube app and my phone was not streaming or connected to the tv in no way. These days if click CAST in YouTube on my Galaxy s20, the phone's YouTube becomes unusable because it's busy.. you know.. casting. I hate this behaviour, I just want to tell my TV to play a video I found on my phone in the same freaking YouTube app. Please help me how to get the old behaviour. Thanks [link] [comments] |
