Android TV - built in vs external box Posted: 09 Jun 2020 06:40 PM PDT I'm in the market for a new budget TV and deciding between a Roku or Android TV interface. This brought me here, where consensus seems to be that the experience on models like TCL and Specter suffer with Android TV. Is that accurate? Would I be better off getting a basic TV and adding an external Android TV box to it? [link] [comments] |

Calling all Hauppauge USB WinTV Dual UK owners... Help pleaseee Posted: 10 Jun 2020 01:53 AM PDT Recently purchased this stick and have it working with Plex on a 2019 Shield Pro. However no matter what I try I cannot get it to show as a source in Live Channels app. I've tried clearing the app data. Uninstalling updates to go back to 1.22 of the app and installing 1.23.1 and 1.24 but nothing works. Can anyone confirm if they have this USB tuner working with Live Channels and what version they are on please. Failing this are there any other free OTA tuner/guide services? Plex is a sub (free until end of June) and so is Channels Live and I don't want to pay for what i currently get for free through my TV. Thanks all ✌️ [link] [comments] |
Posted: 09 Jun 2020 05:35 PM PDT Hey all, I bought a 65" 4K Phillips TV a couple months ago. Over the last couple days I've had an audio issue occur while watching movies. When the audio in the movie gets a little bit quieter, the audio will cut out completely until whatever is happening in the movie gets louder (like someone talking or music getting louder). This started happening while I was streaming a movie through my Xbox one. Then it was happening while we were watching a DVD through the Xbox one. So we changed out the HDMI, still happened. Then we switched to the PS4, and still happened. I tried all 3 of the HDMI ports on the back, and it happens with all of them. I can't find anyone else that sounds like they have this problem. The audio only cuts out completely when whatever is happening in the movie is quieter than normal. It's still super annoying. I just did an update to the TV to see if that fixed it, and it didn't. Any suggestions? Thanks [link] [comments] |
Posted: 09 Jun 2020 01:25 PM PDT I recently tried to use the USB-C port to connect to my ethernet line using a UNI USB-C ethernet adapter. Did everything Tivo told me to do but still not seeing anything in Network/Internet settings indicating I can connect (other than through my wireless networks). Does anyone have any insight on this issue? [link] [comments] |
