    NetEase is Working on a Lord of the Rings Mobile Game

    NetEase Games has announced that they have partnered with Warner Bros. to produce a new mobile game based on Lord of the Rings. NetEase has titled the game 'The Lord of the Rings: Rise to War.' The game will obviously be set in the fictional world of Arda, and it will include characters and locations from the series. [Source]

    Never played a strategy game before, looking for a good first one, paid is fine.

    As said above, I've never played a strategy game before, but looking to get into it.

    Since this is the case, I feel I'll be pretty behind the curve as far as know how goes.

    e.g. I tried to play Unciv, and had no idea what the hell was going on.

    Any suggestions on a good first title?

    I do NOT want to play a "free" that pesters your to buy upgrades.

    Fully free or fully paid is a must.

    [Request] Looking for a RTS with advancing tech/era with castle defense no timegates.

    I'd like to have Age of Empires with random attacks by NPC enemies trying to capture my town/resources. No pay timegates or 5 real life day construct time.

    The game always runs in the background (resource gathering and alerting of an impending attack) unless i specifically pause. I'd like to be able to see what the incoming attack is and decide if I want to be hands-on or hands-off depending on the enemy. The pause is so I don't have to step out of my meeting for a "bio break" so I can defend my land.

    Bonus if I'm able to build attack parties to raid/capture neighboring maps. Difficulty (enemy AI/Tech) scales with size of "kingdom" and distance from core map. All settlements could get attacked including simultaneous if you're unlucky. Set one fight to auto-defend while you focus on a more difficult fight or bounce back and forth if you're a badass.

    Looking for something to replace Clash of Clans.

    Hi all, I've got more downtime away from home recently and am looking to find a game to play on my phone again. In the past I've played Clash of Clans and loved it, but wondering if there's something else that might be worth looking into. It doesn't necessarily have to be a base builder but he's what I enjoyed about CoC:

    • PvP focused
    • One or very limited servers allowing you to take breaks and not fall to the bottom (Not putting up new servers every so often that it just becomes a race to the top like Lords Mobile)
    • Pick up and put down gameplay
    • Gameplay with strategic aspects, not just mindless grind and stat checks (like most Gachas)
    • Doesn't feel like a P2W cash grab (I would put most Gachas and Clash Royale in this category. CoC feels more like "pay to progress")

    Maybe the answer is "there's nothing like that except coc", but thought I would ask.

    What scummvm games require only left click input or very little besides that? Lookin to play some good point and click adventure games and the only ones i know offhand that dont need much besides left click are the humongous entertainment games. While those are fun (beat pajama sam tonight) id like something more adult.
