Ironhide Game Studio Community Manager Interview

    Posted: 17 Jun 2020 09:11 AM PDT

We have had the chance to talk with Ironhide Game Studio's CM Ms Victoria De Lima about their games and future development plans. We tried asking some basic questions about their design cycle as well what we might be seeing in the future. You can read the full interview here.

Personally, as a Kingdom Rush series fan, I'm really looking forward to their future games!

Looking for an Economy Simulation Games like Kapi Regnum

    Posted: 17 Jun 2020 10:33 AM PDT

Anyone familiar with the browser game Kapi Regnum? I'm finding a game like it where you build different structures and each structures produces an item. Different structures produces specific pool of items. The fun part for me is the "guild" system in the Kapi Regnum where you compete with the other guilds who can produce the most number of specific item/s for a period of time. Sound simple but most items needs a supply chain so the whole guild needs to be smart on who should produce the raw materials and who should produce the final products. Your building space is limited too so you cannot build all and you need to specialize producing certain products.

I think in short, a building/crafting game with deep economy simulation and an engaging guild activity.

[REQUEST] Looking for an alliance based game to play with RL friends

    Posted: 17 Jun 2020 11:40 AM PDT

So, me and a few real life friends have been playing "Top War", and really like some of the aspects of it, but, the pay to win, and pvp aspects of it are very big put offs. Looking for something similar with an emphasis on the alliance aspect.

Things we like about Top War are combining armies to attack npc's, alliance contribution to a shared fortress/buffs, racing amongst ourselves for leveling/technology, events that require us to coordinate times to play together. PvP is fine, but, the punishing nature and pay to win nature of top war combine to make an unenjoyable pvp experience.

Features you want/don't want to see (MUST) Genre - Base building aspect is good, but, open to other genres if the alliance aspect is strong Paid or Free - paid is fine, but i feel like paid will limit the alliance aspect of things Single or Multiplayer - multiplayer is a must Playable Offline - no need for offline play

    Open to any suggestions, thanks!

News: miHOYO releases Genshin Impact behind the scenes video

    Posted: 17 Jun 2020 03:28 AM PDT

China-based developer miHoYo has released a new behind the scenes video for Genshin Impact which showcases the artists working on the game's original soundtrack.

The game is an open-world action-RPG title, set in the fantasy continent of Teyvat. It offers a more traditional RPG experience, fit with all the leveling systems you would expect along with combo-heavy combat. In the game take the role of a mysterious and enigmatic traveler, and set off to find your lost sibling. You can read more about the game here

Strategy historical games - Something like ROK

    Posted: 17 Jun 2020 11:19 AM PDT

Are there any new good games like this in 2020.? I am done with Rise Of Kingdoms. I love it but I played it since it was Rise Of Civilizations and now I am booooreddddd.
I played that game as a f2p, or to be completely honest I spent 10 euros total.

I know all of these games are p2w but are there any that could be played as a f2p?

    Thanks

Looking for games I can play with my PS4 controller

    Posted: 17 Jun 2020 01:04 PM PDT

    Hey guys,

As in the title, I'm looking for games that I can play with PS4 controller. Preferably games like GTA ports etc.

I'd like to try to make a handheld gaming console out of my phone.

Also, do you know any GBA emulator that supports the PS4 controller?

    Thank you very much!

After a few years away from game dev, we've just released Laserbreak 3 on Android. The original indie physics puzzler returns!

    Posted: 16 Jun 2020 09:56 PM PDT

    Hey everyone,

Back in 2014 we released Laserbreak, a physics puzzle game. It was our first game ever and we had a lot of great feedback from Reddit. It ended up with almost 10 million players, which was crazy!

Laserbreak 2 also went well, but was quite similar to LB1.

We had a few years off to work on other projects but eventually decided to develop Laserbreak 3.

Many many hours later, here it is :)

Would love some feedback as usual. This time we used Unity as the platform, which is just far better but it meant every single thing needed to be built from scratch.

We're really happy with how it turned out. The levels are quite easy at first but they get very challenging after a while.

Anyway hope you enjoy it and if you have any questions about the design/dev process, let me know!

    Looking for PvP strategy games

    Posted: 17 Jun 2020 09:08 AM PDT

I was a long term brave nine/brown dust player, looking for something similar.

PvP needing to see fair, with a fairly diverse meta would be best. Dont want anything fast paced or clickspam, and not reliant on low ping. Otherwise im not too fussed. Newer games better than old, but ill try anything thats relatively close tbh.

I know im probably looking for something too niche, but maybe something is out there.

    Recommend me some game

    Posted: 17 Jun 2020 12:29 PM PDT

I come from playing competitive pc games and mainly enjoy high strategy multiplayer games.

I want to play games that have good long term progression and is not run by greedy pay to win or pay to progress mechanics.

[REQUEST] Games like Ankora and WitchSpring

    Posted: 17 Jun 2020 08:39 AM PDT

Hello, it's being a while since I last played those games, years perhaps? I played first Ankora and while trying to find something at least a bit similar I found WhichSpring 2, 3, and some weeks ago 4. I loved them all, finished each one is less than a week!

Do you know any similar games single-player games?

PS: Can't be oceanhorn, tried it, and its boring AF.

EDIT: More similar to Ankora is desirable.

    Thanks!
