Posted: 18 Jun 2020 04:11 AM PDT How to download the songs? You can download all of them in one RAR file by following this Bandcamp link. What's the total size of the library and in which format do they come in? Total file size varies in format. You can download the songs in MP3, FLAC, AAC, OGG, ALAC, WAV and AIFF formats. If you'd like to download the songs in MP3 format, the total file size would be 488MB. If you'd want to go with WAV format, then the total size would be 3.2 GB. What about the license? (CC BY 4.0) You can use any song in this library in anyway you want, be it as a sound effect in your game or as a background music in one of your Youtube & Twitch videos, even commercially. If you'd like to find more information about the license, please check this creativecommons.org link. Providing an appropriate credit (Either Composed by onemansymphony.bandcamp.com or patreon.com/onemansymphony) is required. Can I remix the songs in the library? As long as you provide an appropriate credit to the original album, you can do whatever you want to do with them. What is the future of this library? How can I support it? I'm planning to expand this library's content as much as possible, and doing so takes a great amount of time, and calls for new virtual instruments and tools to create songs in rich and different sound. My current goal is to keep adding more songs in different genres into this library as well as creating environmental sound effects in high quality. Due to this reason, I created a Patreon page if you'd like to support this project. By becoming a Patron, you'll get access to the loop files, bonus and alternative songs and sound effects that are not included in the public library hosted on Bandcamp. Are these songs loopable? Almost every single song in the album (with a few exceptions here and there) is loopable. While producing these songs, I always paid extra attention to make them as loopable as possible since some users would like to break a song into seperate pieces and just want to use that specific section of the song in their projects, and some people might like to extend a specific part of the song for adaptive sound design purposes. I am very well aware of that modern video games call for an application of adaptive sound design. A song which is made of different sections should be easily loopable & cuttable and any section of the song should be easily extandable. And whenever a transition occurs, it should sound as smooth as possible. These were the things that I kept in my mind while composing these pieces. If you'd like to create your own loop files out of these songs, you can use a free software such as Audacity to do so and refer to its manual to learn more about how looping is done. If you don't want to spend your time with the process of looping, you can subscribe to my $1 tier on Patreon where you can get access to the loop files of the songs in the library. Is this album updated regularly? Yes! Whenever I add a new song or sound effect to the library, I announce it on my Twitter. I would suggest checking the tweets or the album page regularly if you're in need of new music frequently. Feel free to ask if you guys have any questions. [link] [comments]

Has anyone here tried Upwork? What was your experience like? Is it worth it? Posted: 18 Jun 2020 04:26 AM PDT I'm thinking about using the platform to make some side money. I've looked at some posts though and it looks like prices for the jobs are pretty low . Is it worth freelancing a dev on there? [link] [comments]

Posted: 18 Jun 2020 02:32 AM PDT Hi All Hope you are well. I am looking at releasing an app on the Play Store which will generate revenue via in app purchases. I understand that Google, charge, collect and remit sales tax, VAT and GST for the majority of territories around the world, on my behalf. My question is, how do you then go about reporting this/filing this correctly. For example - with VAT do you treat it as a B2B transaction(s) between you and Google and therefore use the 'reverse charge' method to zero it out to stop you effectivley paying the VAT twice? Any guidance on reporting/filing sales tax and GST would also be appreaciated. Also is there a best practice in reporting/filing? Does Google have a report you can download which highlights where each payment was made so you can see where you are liable for sales tax/VAT/GST? [link] [comments]

Jetpack App Startup: A Deep Dive and Some Concerns (plus a look at the source code!) Posted: 17 Jun 2020 09:01 AM PDT
Posted: 17 Jun 2020 08:17 AM PDT So, like in the title, I want to move away from admob if possible since google admob account management is a lot of hassle. I cancelled an old admob account due to reorganizing the company and wanted to create a new admob account for new sets of apps (we unpublished the old aps and made a new one that reflects more on the company reorganization). The google play dev account is still using the same account because all of our apps are still there. For some reason, google still think I have more than one admob account. I did not, I made sure I cleaned everything including the ad units from all apps registered in the old admob account, removed firebase links, cancelled admob account, and finally cancelled adsense account. This is totally a hassle. Can anyone help me find easier and less headache solution? Thank you [link] [comments]
Is a CCPA and GDPR compliant privacy policy from TermsFeed worth it? Posted: 17 Jun 2020 03:37 PM PDT Hello. We're curious about Play Console best practices regarding privacy policies in the case of emerging developers. A one time payment of $100 for a privacy policy that has CCPA and GDPR clauses sounds amazing when you're well established, but it's a rather big upfront cost for an app that's not guaranteed to make any sales. So, we're wondering if there are any clauses that are relatively safe to cut from the privacy policy we're generating at TermsFeed. Or yet better, if you could recommend a more suitable service for our particular case. The ones we have picked so far are CCPA, GDPR and CalOppa wordings and Google Analytics. The app itself doesn't have any kind of data collection mechanisms. We may consider adding push notifications and/or an email newsletter opt-in form but neither of these is currently in the app. From what we gathered, a Google Analytics disclaimer is mandated by Google itself, and we don't wanna breach our ToS. However, we're more skeptical regarding the CCPA and GDPR clauses. We do obviously target customers in EU and US, but we're entirely based outside either of these regions, and the possibility of being involved in any kind of lawsuit is nearly non-existent when we're selling one copy or less a day. So, why would we pay the extra cost for what's essentially a disclaimer? Eager to hear your opinions. [link] [comments] |
