    Hi all I experienced this issue updating the Google app for Android TV from 3.14.x to 4.1.0.310049754

    My TV is a TCL 32ES560 on Android 9 Issue can be reproduced like this : - on the Home Page you invoke the Assistant, either with the voice or the keyboard, if you're using the included TV remote - if you do this then the TV freezes for around 2 or 3 min and the TV is completely unresponsive - then the TV resumes his operation until you select to invoke the Assistant again .

    Side issues include: - The Settings\Device Preferences\Google Assistant is unresponsive AND freezes the TV again, just as above - Microphone button on the Android TV remote app is unresponsive and causes no reaction on the TV

    Did the usual troubleshooting up to factory reset the device AFAIK the only workaround that's effective at the moment is to uninstall the updates.

    System and apps are updated. Anybody else had this issue or worked it out?

    MiTV 43in 4K (MSSP3) Prime Video 4k

    As I've already read on the sub the Android interface is 1080p but Prime Video won't give me any option to watch shows in 4K. On the other hand youtube gives me the chance to switch to 4K although I'm not sure that's the real resolution output. Is there any possibility 4K is only available through HDMI? Am I missing something?

    Youtube TV on Mi Box S keeps crashing the box, anyone else getting this?

    Every few weeks, I'll play a video on Youtube that consistently locks up the whole box in a specific place. Maybe it's some bug in the encoding, because even when I switch to Casting the video from my phone, it breaks the stream at these points.

    I'll be playing a video, and then suddenly I get a black screen, and a few seconds later an infinite bootloader loop begins. I have to power cycle the box to get it out of this state, and then the BIOS will probably fail to boot the next time and ask me if I want to do a factory reset.

    Does this happen to anyone else? Does it actually happen with other streaming apps too and I just don't see it because I mainly use Youtube, or is it only the Google-coded app on the Google-coded box?

    Hi all, I'm looking at purchasing a phillips pus7334 55" If there are any owners out there, could you please give me your thoughts. Iv read a few reviews, but there seems to be a few issues with remotes? The main reason I am interested is for the ambilight feature and it being android TV so being able to add a few apps will be good.

    Second usb port on Philips android tv

    Hi to all, I have Philips android tv 43pus7000 series with two USB ports. First usb is 900 ma, the second 500 ma. Both are 5V, but whatever I plug into second port it is not recognised. The only I can do is charging my phone. Do anyone have experience with those TVs, is this normal? I hoped to plug keyboard and flash drive, but looks like it can not be done. Regards!

    Mi Box Questions

    Hi guys. I just sold my FireTV Stick because Amazon kept shoving more and more ads into it and I'm looking into buying a Mi Box instead because I love Android TV's UI.

    • How reliable is it? I keep seeing complaints about boxes giving issues on here.

    • Does it send data back to Xiaomi? MIUI on my Redmi phone used to send my usage habits to them.

    App versionss in the app store are really old-- is that normal?

    Apologies in advance is this is a dumb question.

    We just bought a Smart TV. So far, I'm not impressed. (Note: I live outside the USA; electronics here are both poorer quality and more expensive than what you may be accustomed to.)

    The TV runs Android 7 and has the Aptoide TV app store. To my (naive?) surprise, the store has plenty of apps but the versions it has are so old that they are almost unusable, or are already unusable. For example, a movie app I want-- MUBI-- is in the store, but the version the store has is from 2015. It's too old to work and it can't be updated. Same story with Firefox for TV browser, but that one is from 2013! So far, the most recent app I've seen in there is from 2018.

    Is this problem typical of Android TVs? Or is it the Androide app store that's the problem? Is there a setting that needs to changed somewhere? Etc.

    (I know sideloading is a thing. I'm wondering if there's something else I can/should do trying that.)

    Youtube always logging me out

    Is anyone experiencing Youtube account always getting logged out when the TV goes on sleep?

    Going to accounts and pressing "log in" again doesn't do anything

    I'm finding that I have to restart the TV every time it goes to sleep just so I could log in to Youtube.

    Black screen when I try to cast anything to Mi box S while watching a video

    I'm having a really annoying bug in the mi box s. After playing a video for a few minutes, if I try to cast something from any app on my phone, I'll only see a black screen. If I don't disconnect the video quickly, the black screen will stay forever and I'll have to force reboot the mi box s. The audio is still there, but there's nothing I can do. Has anybody else hit this issue? I've tried disconnecting the HDMI cable from my tv, changing the input, but nothing works.

    Mi Box S....Black Screen after rest for 8 hours

    Well, guys I have had my mi box s for over a year, Everything works fine however when I let it rest and push a button to wake up the mi box after 8 - 6 hours The mi box s shows youtube app or the last app I used and when I press the power button sometimes the home page goes dark but I can hear the sound when you moved the apps....any solution?
