| Dolby Sounds option gone after update Posted: 26 Apr 2020 06:50 AM PDT Hi, so, 3 days ago I had a problem with Plex and I found out that I could fix it by going to the audio settings, setting the Dolby Sounds to RF, setting Digital Audio Format to Manual and enabling every option. That way I could play my movies directly from Plex without transcoding. But, yesterday I updated my Android TV and now the Dolby Sounds option is gone! Now I can't play anything on Plex because of this. Even the movies that don't use DTS codec won't play anymore. I already tried a factory reset, and it didn't work. The option is simply gone. Is there a way to fix this? Or this box just became useless, since I only use it for Plex? Anyone with the same problem? [link] [comments] | ||
| Does AndroidTV with google assistant interrupt shows when you say 'Ok google'? Posted: 25 Apr 2020 07:34 PM PDT I am looking into buying a phillips androidtv with google. The only thing stopping me is I have about 3-4 google devices already, I would like to have the TV playing in the background and saying 'OK google turn off the lights' to my other devices. I know there's an option to use the control to talk to the TV but is the 'OK google' voice command disabled on the TV set itself? Or is there an option to? I just don't want any shows or movies running on the TV to get interrupted if I say OK Google [link] [comments] | ||

| Posted: 25 Apr 2020 03:35 PM PDT Hey team, A quick one. Is the only option of having Disney plus on mibox sideloading? I've read that some people say that could find it on Play store so I wanted to see if it's regional thing? Have a sister that is not to savy on this stuff with 2 little ones and wanted to share with my account. Thanks [link] [comments] | ||
| Firestick or Chromecast or any other alternatives for streaming. Posted: 25 Apr 2020 09:30 PM PDT As the titles say's I'm not sure whether I should get a Firestick or chromecast or any other alternatives. I will be using it for streaming movies and tv shows through apps like MediaBoxHd,Cyberflix, tvzion and etc. I'm not sure which one would be able to do it better. I'm not sure if the Chromecast would be able to cast the tv shows and movies properly. I've heard with the Firestick you can just sideload the APK's. But if the Chromecast can do it would be better. Please tell me which one is better or if their is any alternatives in the similar price range. I was also thinking of the Mibox but I heard bad things about. Just saying I live in Australia so I'm not sure if it's worth importing the 4K Firestick vs the Basic 1 gen Firestick. Note: I don't have a 4k tv but I heard it's way quicker the 4k Firestick then the other Firesticks. Overall please tell me what's better and if Chromecast can cast videos from the apps that I listed above just fine. [link] [comments] | ||
