| Help please. My share button for Facebook Messenger has stopped working. Posted: 20 Mar 2020 05:20 AM PDT As of yesterday, I have been unable to share to Facebook Messenger. I use photo and gif sharing constantly, but had been making do with screenshots as I can access them in app. For some reason this phone does not automatically access downloads from the Facebook Messenger app, so I had been using the Downloads, Files, Gallery or Google apps to share from into the Facebook Messenger app. (It was a bit tedious and I intended to find a way to reroute the folders so all pictures could be accessed in app at some point, but just hadn't got around to it.) Anyway, as previously stated, the Share button now refuses to function properly. I press the Share symbol, and as far as I am aware, Sharing to other apps should be working, but specifically Sharing to Facebook Messenger is failing. I press the Share button, choose Facebook Messenger, it then either does nothing, or the screen flashes and acts like I pressed nothing, or it takes me into the Facebook Messenger app. I cannot get the phone to Share anything to Facebook Messenger. I have tried Restarting the phone and re-downloading the Facebook Messenger app. I am also going to update the phone and see what happens. It's a Huawei Honor 10. Thank you for your time. Any suggestions on how to solve either accessing downloads in Facebook Messenger app or solve the mystery as to why my Share button ceased working and how to get it to work again. Thanks. Used DuckDuckGo to check the IP addresses - they are apparently part of a foreign botnet/data mining company? Not sure about that. Thing is, I need to remove this from my phone. What are some first steps to take, apart from the factory reset? The phone has "Emergency Mode" - anyone tried it? EDIT: "Device Admin" check doesn't reveal anything odd. | Posted: 20 Mar 2020 01:20 PM PDT Hey All. My issue- Trying to use my Samsung J250Y dual sim phone with my American T-Mobile SIM in the US. I had no issue using my American T-Mobile SIM with the phone while in Europe. I am now unable to make calls, texts, or use data in the US with this phone and my sim. I received the phone second hand so I do not know all about the phone, but I do know it was purchased separate from the previous owner's SIM card and was not bought from a carrier. I am also currently unable to go to a Samsung support center or TMobile store in person for a couple weeks. The box also says it is a Europe region locked device. I got the run around from T Mobile and Samsung support. I reset my network settings. I do not know where to proceed from here but would like some help and guidance. [link] [comments] |
| Wifi shows not connected icon but is connected Posted: 20 Mar 2020 01:10 PM PDT Sometimes when I'm connected to wifi it shows in the status bar not connected but when I run what's my IP it's of the wifi address. Also sometimes it seems to disconnect automatically just because the signal is weak. Like not non existent I will still be loading web pages (albeit slowly) and then it will disconnect until I manually reconnect. Is there any way to force it to stay on a network no matter how weak the signal is? Also why does the icon show not connected when it is? Previous phones seemed to have far less wifi sensitivity Pixel 3a Android 10 with March 5 updates (this has always happened though) [link] [comments] |

| [S20] Google maps automatically dimming screen brightness Posted: 20 Mar 2020 12:16 PM PDT I've turned adaptive brightness off, but whenever I enter google maps, the screen slowly and automatically dims to half brightness and it's DRIVNG ME INSANE!!! I cant find any way to fix this. Manually adjusting the brightness past a certain point doesnt make a difference while on google maps. [link] [comments] |

When I hit the home button it usually keeps playing it will occasionally stop playing. When I reopen the app it always freezes and I have to close the stream and reopen it to get to to play again. Posted: 20 Mar 2020 11:55 AM PDT I've been using Poweramp as my music player, but I really don't like how when it finishes playing the file or folder or artist you selected, it just starts playing the next one in the list, and looking on Google, it seems like this is something people have been complaining about for a long time that the dev has no intention of changing. There is a PDF file on my phone that I cannot open on the phone, nor can I transfer the file from the phone. I have downloaded several PDF readers from the Android app store. Yet when I click on the file all it says is "Can't Open File." With the phone plugged into my pc, I can transfer all files and file types from anywhere on the phone except for PDFs. My phone, again, says "Can't Open File," while my PC just says "Error." How do I read this PDF? It is no longer available from the location it was originally downloaded from. [link] [comments] |

All tutorials tell me it's in the display settings but it is not. There is also not a cast option in the drop down quick settings menu and there is not a dedicated media settings tab to find it in. Under settings->Personal->Google Services->Device Connections there exists "Cast Media Controls" but that just give me the option to "control media from cast devices through notification". There is also a section called "Devices" which is searching, but can't find anything, despite the fact that there are compatible devices on the network. [link] [comments] |
| How can I upgrade my Android OS from 32x to 64x? Posted: 20 Mar 2020 10:35 AM PDT I have an LG Stylo 4, which runs a 64x 450 Snapdragon and 2GB RAM, but a 32x OS on said 64x processor. It seems like it should be possible to upgrade my OS to the 64x, in order to run applications that require it, but I can't find any resources for how to go about doing this, or at the very least I'm missing something when trying to research it. For reference I'm trying to run TFT mobile on my phone, which requires a 64x OS and 2GB of RAM. But when I connect it to a PC it makes USB sound, though I cannot access any storage of it whatsoever. The phone does not support wireless charging, and Ive tried different cables and adapters. Posted: 19 Mar 2020 05:34 PM PDT The problem here is that my Droid Turbo 2 is essentially permanently dead due to the battery draining at an alarming rate. It charges "fine" and can even get to 100%. Turning it on when it gets to 100% drains most of the battery however, as it becomes 10% as I get to the lock screen. From then on, even as it's still plugged in, it drains extremely fast, getting to 0% before I can open an app. Is it possible to access the phone's data that doesn't involve outright changing the battery? I can't transfer data from this one to my new phone due to the new one being a new number as Verizon claimed that it was getting too expensive to keep the old number. I have tried using an app called Dr. Fone that was made specifically for this kind of thing but it didn't support my phone, for whatever reason. I have restarted my router many times over the past few days but nothing works, everything else works fine like my wifi and t.v. but my android doesn't. Any help is greatly appreciated. I am trying to remove photos of my dog from it, but due to the cracked screen, I can't remove anything from it. I've tried to find programs to help with it, but they don't seem to work for the model I have. Any way for me to get the photos? I have not jailbroken it, and it is no longer connected to the network so I can't use their website to unlock it. Details of phone. Concretely, why companies like Samsung in their middle range (or supreme high-end) devices just does not set up the build.prop correctly to enjoy the most of our cameras although the level 3 of the API set ? ...and for God's sake be able to shoot in RAW mode ? I can no longer receive text messages from this number but I can receive phone calls. I'm not sure why I can not receive text messages. It is only this number.
