    Can't get external HDD to work with Xiaomi MI Box

    I just bought a Seagate 2TB external HDD and hooked it up to my Xiaomi MI Box.

    When I plugged it in, it asked me to format it, so I did.

    I can see the HDD through Xiaomi's settings but the X-plore app and KODI won't detect it.

    I now removed it from MI Box and plugged it into my PC and the drive won't show up even though it's visible through device manager.

    What can I do?

    Android box with dolby atmos passthrough

    I just upgraded my tv and sound bar and am looking to take advantage of the dolby atmos that the soundbar has. I'm just wondering what android boxes out there support the dolby atmos passthrough? I bought the mi box s and have some dolby atmos files from the demo disk and cannot get it to passthrough the dolby atmos signal. It just says dolby audio which I know isn't the atmos signal. I'm just wondering if the only thing out there to passthrough the atmos is the Nvidia Shield? I really don't want to have to shell out the $200.

    System-wide video stream info?

    Is there any way to have a way to view the currently playing video stream's statistics in androidtv, regardless of the app?

    Seems some apps have this built-in and others don't. Wondering if there's a system-wide way to view currently playing bit rate, resolution, fps, etc.

    hi, i need help

    i use android tv from sony KD49X8000G, but it cannot recognize USB drive, it show like this in android tv https://i.imgur.com/sRyWQX7.jpg

    here is my android tv spec https://i.imgur.com/JMfh1U7.jpg i already tried using vlc and mxplayer, it detect usb drive but cannot open it. when open via mxplayer, its said "device does not appear to support the android storage access framework"

    tried using different usb with different format like fat32, ntfs.. but no work

    already update using last update.

    try google it, but cannot find any clue to fix it

    Kinda succeeded to make Apple TV+ work on Android TV (workaround via Firefox)

    Well, that's not really clean but it worked anyway, and it clearly wasn't 4K.

    But if you REALLY want to try, well, it works.

    Just download and install Firefox for Android TV/Fire TV here :

    https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/mozilla/firefox-android-tv/firefox-android-tv-4-5-release/firefox-android-tv-4-5-android-apk-download/

    Then, go to tv.apple.com, login and click Play. I watched the Morning Show yesterday, could change the subtitles to French, no issue on my Shield TV, not sure how a Mi Box will handle it.

    You won't get HDR, 4K, etc, but at least it's playing.

    Mi Box 3 no video signal?

    Mi Box 3 (MDZ-16-AB) stopped displaying a white light from the front and giving any signal from the HDMI port, I tried 2 different TV's and cables (even the original one) and nothing.
    it still displays the red light from the back, I do have a male-male usb adapter but it is too short and power cable gets in the way, I don't mind buying a new one if its the only solution, I also tried flashing on a flash drive (this) while pressing back and select but literally nothing.
    would appreciate any help, been researching on this for a while now.

    Prime video login

    Hello all,

    I got myself an airtv mini yesterday. When I try to login to prime video with my username and password it said there is some issue and asked me to use the code by going to https://www.primevideo.com/ontv/devices but when I do it nothing happens. No error. Amazon site says it is registered successfully. But when I go to my registered devices page it doesn't show the device. The prime video app on the airtv doesn't refresh after the code is entered.

    Any pointers on how to solve this?
