I will try to keep this anonymous, without pointing fingers at anyone, so as not to start a witch hunt. If you do figure out who this is about, please, keep this to yourself, let's keep this discussion drama-free.

I have noticed a rather active member of this community decided to monetize their kustom-related work. Many of us do.

The issue is that this person, quite often, uses modified files made by you guys to monetize. The degree of modifications vary, sometimes it's minute, other times it's a rather robust rework. Whatever the case may be, I'm fairly certain they do not have the permission from original authors to do that.

To put it simply, they take your file, modify it, then try to monetize it.

I have personally reached out to them in attempt to stop this, but so far my efforts weren't exactly successful. If you believe you're affected, feel free to contact me, I'll try to help you.

My advice to everyone: be careful who you're sharing your work with. I do not want to discourage anyone from posting here or sharing their work, but I want you all to be aware of the fact that someone could be making profit off of your work.

There's some confusion as to how I'm going to help, if at all. If you're worried you're affected, send me a screenshot or a link to your work, and I'll be able to verify that. I won't reveal the name of person in question if I don't have a reason to because we agreed with mods at r/kustom to keep it as drama-free as possible.
