    I'm on an old HTC One with Lineage 9.

    My phone would spend 3 minutes being laggy every time I turned airplane off in the morning. Unusable. I finally decided to remove every app one by one. It was FB Messenger and the main Google app. I can live without them both! I loved the speed.

    But after a few weeks I've noticed the lag is coming back, altho not nearly as bad.

    Wiping cache does nothing. What can I do to really find out what's causing this? I don't have anything new installed.

    I accidentally allowed notifications on a site that I definitely shouldn't have, what does this mean?

    I cleared cache, removed it from all the permissions etc etc, scanned with malwarebytes but I'm not exactly sure how android OS works and wondering if I need to take further actions? Would it be able to do more serious stuff just form allowing notification as in malware on my phone?

    Facebook popping up random ads everywhere.

    I get ads every couple minuites in any app and i check and they are from facebook. Cant shut the off. Its says something related to specified ad program but i cant shut it up. Need help.

    Is there a way to read a SIM externally?

    I have broken my SIM tray on my old phone. Not even a replacement tray could fix it since there is a shard of the tray embedded inside.

    However, I need it to read a sim in order to access old WhatsApp data.

    I still have the SIM card, so is it possible to use an external reader to temporarily replace the tray?

    Today I started getting random chrome popups from a crypto currency website (cc.news or something). All online help forums say to delete the Instagram save and repost app as that's the source of the problem, but I don't have this app. Mcafee antivirus also said my phone has no viruses. Thanks!

    Outlook/MS office contacts not syncing

    Currently using a OnePlus 6 running Android 9/Oxygen OS 9.0.9.

    Been in the process of migrating from Gmail to Outlook and I'm running into an issue where only 16 of my 50 contacts sync to my device. I have the Outlook app installed on my phone with "sync contacts" enabled, however not all of my contacts are being downloaded to my phone, nor some changes being reflected via the desktop/web app. It seems that adding a contact to my phone will sometimes create a new contact entry on the web app, however I am at a loss for what the issue is.

    Any ideas?

    I have a rooted Moto E6 - does anyone know of a build.props property change (or other file) to enable USB enumeration while screen is locked?

    A little backstory: I have a cheap Moto E6 I bought to keep as a dedicated Android Auto phone. By design, the Moto E6 will not launch Android Auto while the screen is locked. Other phones have no problem doing so, so I did some googling. I found a post on the Moto forums that said that for security reasons, some Moto phones don't enumerate USB devices when the screen is locked.

    Does anyone know of a system property that I can manipulate to enable USB enumeration while locked?

    Pixel 2 Keeps Pausing Media

    Hi,

    No matter the media app (YouTube, Play Music, Spotify, Google Podcasts) the playback gets randomly paused for no reason. It happens when I'm using the phone speakers, bluetooth, or earbuds through the 3mm to USB C dongle.
    It also happens when things are downloaded on the phone, so I don't think it's a connectivity issue.
    Does anyone have a fix for this? I'm up to date on all apps and for my phone OS in general.

    S6 Edge powers off when unplugged from charger

    Dear AQ subreddit,

    I own a Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge which has been dropped in water, dried out, turned on, works fine, battery showed 99% ("charging") and when I removed the charger the phone shut off.

    I'm somewhat experienced with phones and at first I thought the motherboard/charge controller board got shorted, which luckily turned out to be false. I think I might have a faulty battery, what can I do in this situation?

    How do I uninstall one specific app from being uninstalled?

    How do i prevent one specific app from being uninstalled on Android?

    I just want to stop an app from being uninstalled or that the uninstall button disappear. To be clear i don't want to lock the package installer with app locker that would require me to to enter password each time i wanna uninstall an app. I just wanna secure one app. I also don't want to convert it to system app.

    I have rooted phone with Android 9.0. if someone can help i will really appreciate.

    So we all know Google Play Store is a great place to get media.

    I've been building my collection for a while and I still have a question in regards of how buying seasons work.

    1. When will season be available for a new show that I am following. I would love to buy it season 4 of Rick and Morty now they have a la carte of the episode however there are bonus material that are locked to seasons only

    2. if by buying the per episode will I get a discount when the season is finally available?

    Can I disable Android's feature to auto-adjust my volume?

    Hi all!

    My OnePlus 5T sometimes(not consistently) turns down my Bluetooth volume to ~60%(using it on Sena SMH10, it's a Bluetooth helmet device for motorcycles). This is annoying for two reasons:

    • I can't hear my music on the highway because my phone caps it at 60% when the device is at max.
    • I'm pretty sure it screws with audio quality since the source is restricted, but the playback device needs to boost it again.

    You could say, just turn the volume up again, but everything is automatic. I can turn on my helmet Bluetooth device with my gloves on, the phone in my pocket automatically connects and launches Spotify. It's almost very convenient, where it not for this one feature.

    Any help with be greatly appreciated!

    2FA notifications not working when not on WiFi

    First noticed this a few months ago when I switched from my BlackBerry Motion (Android 8) to an Asus ROG 2 (Android 9). Neither the Microsoft Authenticator app nor Google's counterpart app would send Allow Access notifications. In fact, I couldn't even register my MS authenticator until I was at home connected to WiFi. While on the carrier network, I kept getting an error. I made sure battery optimizations were turned off in the authenticator app.

    I just switched to a Note 10+ (Android 9) and am having the exact same problems. Is this part of Android 9's more aggressive battery optimizations and shutting off background services?

    Snapchat recording audio not working!

    Hey guys! I've been having issues on recording audio with Snapchat on my OnePlus 6t. Everytime I record a video and play it back, the audio sounds muffled/non-existent. When others play my video, they also can't hear anything. I can hear my friends snapstory just fine. i tried recording audio/video with other apps(Instagram, camera, fb) and they all work fine. When my friends use their phone to log onto my snapchat, the audio works fine i've tried turning off Bluetooth, restarting my phone, uninstalling and reinstalling my app, clearing the cache, cleaning my mic, trying with both front and back mic, doing a soft reboot and still nothing :( anyone else have this issue and found a solution?

    What Android watch do you recommend for music? Any with volume control via a crown?

    The only reason why I want a smartwatch is for music use at the gym. I don't like carrying around my phone and having to worry about it's location and it falling out. I've tested the Apple Watch and it's quite nice. The music volume can be controlled via the crown and that's a really nice feature because when you're working out or running, you don't have the dexterity to go through menus on a screen.

    Given this, what watch would you recommend?

    How to control an Android without touch screen?

    I can connect a mouse (OTG) to control the Android.

    But i can't accept the credentials to use scrcpy because the touch don't' work.

    Any idea how i can do this? The phone is not rooted.

    I just want to reuse an old phone.

    So like my thread title says, I am currently on Android 6.0.1. on my Nexus 7 (2013 - Wi-Fi) I have the GAPPS (ARM, Android 9, Stock) and the ROM file downloaded. Can someone please walk me through the partition process and possibly help me update from TWRP 2.6.0.0 to TWRP 3.3.1-1?

    I'd love to make this thing my daily device again, I just spent money replacing the battery and USB port on it.

    How do I use flash player on my Pixel?

    I have been using Chrome exclusively, but when I search for "how to turn on flash player on android" I get a set of instructions that I can't follow because those buttons don't seem to exist for me. I downloaded Dolphin browser, which is supposed to support Flash, but that's not doing it either. I don't understand what else I am supposed to do. Can someone help me?

    Any ANDROID app which can launch the other apps in background when screen is turned on or scheduled launch of apps in background ? My honor phone keeps on killing the the important apps, but i want them to run in background.
