| Is there a refresh rate switching app that works on all Android TVs? Posted: 18 Aug 2021 03:27 AM PDT I found one but I think it's only for the Shield specifically. The only ones I know of that can do it are Plex and Kodi, but I'm tired of playing around Plex to avoid transcoding and Kodi's switching doesn't reliably work for some reason. It will be fine in one file then then a few hours later there will be judder and frame skipping. Is there an app that can reliably do it for any video player? [link] [comments] |

I have enabled the developer mode like any other android device, and the option to install to an external drive is there, but is there a way to make it use adoptable external to add drive space as one? | Substituting my hisense TV OS with a better TV box Posted: 17 Aug 2021 10:56 AM PDT So my hisense VIDAA OS is a nightmare I use it only for YT, Netflix and Laggy plex app. So I'm searching for a better alternative my only options in my country are: Amazon Fire stick 4k, Mi Box S or 4k, MI stick 4k, and some other random x96, MXQ pro... Etc. I won't be using 4k much since I mainly watch 1080 for connection stability and I would like to use kodi, vlc to stream local folders from my laptop or HD what do u recommend best out of these options? I need to be able to lock down this streaming stick so people, who I don't trust not to mess up my google account, can still use it to stream YouTube or Pluto or other apps, maybe with each google account protected by a long PIN number. After X minutes of idle time it should Lock Screen and only let you in to whichever account you enter the PIN for. Any apps for this?! Also, where's the screen mirroring feature? I want to play a game on my phone while it mirrors to the big tv screen…?! [link] [comments] |
| Move back app from External USB Flash to internal storage Posted: 17 Aug 2021 06:53 PM PDT Hello, I wanted to test an old USB Flash drive as an external storage for my Android TV. System asked me to format it when I plugged it, I did it, then I confirmed when it asked me to move apps from internal storage to this flash drive, but I want the apps to get back to internal memory and reset what I did.
