    Formuler GTV Hands On Rview

    Posted: 12 Apr 2021 08:27 AM PDT

The quest for an all in one media box to satisfy ones expectations is a difficult thing. Most of us have devices from Nvidia, Amazon, Tivo just to name a few. While they all work well they are great they tend to have some shortcomings. This is where the Formuler GTV comes in.

Formuler built this box on the Android TV platform with one purpose in mind. 4K streaming with all the bells and whistles. This is evident as soon as you open the box.

    Processing img b1stz53ndrs61...

After some initial setup you are presented with the Android TV home screen we have all come to love. The one item on this screen that sets itself apart from others is the MYTVOnline2 App. This application is purpose built to give you a cable like experience with all the creature comforts you have come to love. Multiple playlists, DVR, Picture in picture, Customizable Guide

    Processing img pk4irt0zers61...

I could go on and on about the features that make any Formuler box an excellent choice but one of the things that I have found that sets Formuler apart from any other company is SUPPORT. Formuler has multiple avenues of support from email and web forums to the telegram group which always has admins or other customers waiting to help with whatever questions you may have.

Software updates and bug fixes are a constant focus for Formuler which works very hard to bring stability and new features to there products. If a bug is found it is normally fixed in days via a software update which is excellent.

I've been a customer of Formuler for many years starting with the Z7+, Neo, Alpha, Z8, Z8 Pro and now the GTV. Each of these products is well built and with MYTVOnline 2 will give you the best possible experience.

    Controller input lag

    Posted: 12 Apr 2021 07:46 AM PDT

    Hey guys :)
I've got an Android tv (https://www.amazon.es/Ultra-Android-Chromecast-Incorporado-Netflix/dp/B07NGKQB88) and I'm ok with it's performance overall.

Only problem I've found so far is that any gamepad controller I try to use, suffers from some input lag (would say around 200ms), which makes it impossible for me to play any game in it.

Tried different types of controllers (low, med and high quality) but all of them have around the same input lag.

Tried EASYSMX 9101 (a 20$ controller that works great for me in PS4 and PC, but not on android TV), a PS4 controller and a Razer Raiju Mobile.

Tried to use them using all the options I had (wireless/wire connection), but nothing seems to work for me.

Tried to use them on emulators, Stadia and GeforceNow (I know these 2 will give me some input lag anyway since it's a cloud gaming service, but not this high since I use them on PC and my android smartphone and I don't feel any input lag there with the controllers mentioned).

Does anyone know what could I do? Thanks.

I can't find my tv box

    Posted: 12 Apr 2021 07:25 AM PDT

As the title says, my device (samsung j6) can't find my tv box anymore. Other devices connected to the network seem to connect just fine, besides mine. I tried reconnecting, reinstalling chromecast, and even reset the tv box, but it's obvious my device is the problem. Anyone knows what's up?

I have a lg B7 and I hate not being able to access the play store. A new chromecast with google tv is cheaper than an android tv box, but I've heard stuff like google tv isn't a operating system etc. Couldnt find any direct answers, so I'm a bit confused. Any help would be appreciated.

Dynamic Range Sound - High Sound Effects, Low Dialogue

    Posted: 11 Apr 2021 11:10 AM PDT

Keep having this problem when watching movies, using Mi Box S 4K with Android TV.. Netflix and Plex both have the same issue. Any way to disable the dynamic range so that I can actually hear the dialogue and not blow my eardrums out if music starts to play in a scene or a car chase happens?

Can 'Chromecast w/ Google TV' play free over the air/local channels?

    Posted: 11 Apr 2021 09:39 AM PDT

    Hi all!

I've tried searching for different ways to ask this but I only get articles to lists of apps that requires subs.

I'm trying to find out if there is a way to play my local ota channels through my chromecast as if it was like a rabbit-ear antenna picking up free channels or an app that can scan channels from an antenna. I'd like to be able to access live weather and news alerts easily.

There is also new terms around all this as well that I'm not familiar with, like IPTV - I'm not sure what this is?

Those with an S905X4 Android TV box, have you noticed any improvement with N64 and PSX emulation?

    Posted: 10 Apr 2021 05:56 PM PDT

On a S905X is bad, on a S905X2 is slightly better but I wonder if it's much better with the S905X4.

Can't uninstall an app on Android Tv

    Posted: 11 Apr 2021 06:54 AM PDT

My Android TV's Playstore doesn't have certain apps that I want installed. So I downloaded the apk itself on a USB, connected it to my Android Tv and successfully installed it. It works without issues.

However, there is no shortcut on the home screen and the storage settings does not show the installed app, which makes me unable to uninstall app. How can I solve this problem?

Which Indian OTT apps support the "Live Channels" app on Android TV?

    Posted: 11 Apr 2021 12:59 AM PDT

I recently learnt Android TV comes with a "Live Channels" app. From what I understand, third-party apps with live TV feature can integrate with this app. Can anyone please let me know if any Indian OTT apps support this feature?

On Firestick, many Indian apps work with Amazon's version of the "Live Channels" app. It aggregates live TV channels from third-party apps nicely.

    Can anybody please help!!

    Posted: 11 Apr 2021 12:16 AM PDT

I have purchased an android Tv a few days back. When I tried connnecting my laptop to it with an HDMI cable, it is not working. I have looked it up on the net a lot of times, however, i have not found a solution that works.

When i went into the the display settings in my PC, i am able to see that a secondary display is connected, however it shows that the display is not active.

I am certain that i am using the right HDMI port on the TV, where it shows - "No signal is active, check if it is on".

I have also tried using different HDMI ports too.

Can anybody please help. Thank you

    Bluetooth remote with microphone?

    Posted: 10 Apr 2021 10:51 PM PDT

I have TCL Android 4K TV. The default remote is really nice, but it's still the old school one - with separate buttons for TV channels, number buttons etc. I'd like to buy a smart remote for the TV. TCL themselves have told me that it's possible, but they couldn't mention any particular remote model.

I just want a remote with the least amount of buttons possible and a microphone for Google Assistant and voice search. I'm guessing it would connect by BT, coreect.

Does anyone have experience with this? Any recommendations? I live in Europe, by the way.

    Disney+ and Paramount+ not working

    Posted: 10 Apr 2021 07:16 PM PDT

Using a Sony A8H built in Android TV. Has worked great until a week ago. D+/P+ wont even load the profiles to select, or when you try to play a video they just go black, or dont load. They work on the Roku upstairs.

I've tried force stopping, clear data/cache, uninstalling, soft reset, unplugging the TV for 20 mins.

TV has been hardwired ethernet since we got it, to the same modem/router thats been in the house for 5 years. Just stopped working about a week ago. I mention that as someone said a router's content blocking (or something) did something similar, but no idea what that would be and idk if this old as thing even has those capabilities.

Someone said ARC/eARC can cause issues, but I dont have that enabled on my TV it looks like, dont have a home theater. Just a sound bar plugged in the optical port.

Any ideas or suggestions???? Thanks for any and all help.
