| Posted: 13 Apr 2021 04:22 AM PDT This probably doesn't apply if you don't have a work related google account on your phone. So for months now I haven't been getting gmail notifications on my phone, which has been a pain in the arse, especially as for the life of me I could not work out why. Tried messing around with tons of the settings, power options etc, and nothing would work. Then today, I finally finished up with a client I had been working with on a project for a couple of years, and removed my google account with them from my phone. Almost immediately I get flooded with notifications from my other gmail accounts. Suffice to say it turns out this client had updated their account policy that now blocks gmail notifications on my phone, to prevent some confidential info just appearing on my screen. Maybe this info will help someone else facing the same problem some time. [link] [comments] | ||
| What was the most unreliable phone that you have ever used? Posted: 13 Apr 2021 08:22 AM PDT For me it was a Huawei P20 Pro that I bought last year second hand. I was apparently told that the phone was rarely used by the previous owner. After 5 months of using, the display died out and I sent it to the service center, where they changed my motherboard and display under warranty. A few months later, the fingerprint scanner and ultimately the home button stopped working and apps started crashing soon after. [link] [comments] | ||

| (Danny Winget) Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra vs Galaxy S21 Ultra vs iPhone 12 Pro Max Camera Test Comparison Posted: 13 Apr 2021 09:12 AM PDT https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ed9m3ddQzvU In this video, Danny compares the new Xiaomi Mi11 Ultra against the S21 Ultra and the iPhone Pro 12 Max. The GN2 sensor on the Mi11 Ultra launched with very high expectations. In practice, it trades blows and Danny feels it has the most potential, but needs software updates. There are inconsistencies in the images and video. Danny feels the video of the iPhone is the top and the S21 overall is the top camera phone for Android. [link] [comments] |
