I've suggested that she just try not to look at them anymore since they upset her, but she still gets links and other things through the ads that show everywhere. Any suggestions? [link] [comments] |

| Posted: 19 Apr 2021 11:36 AM PDT not a native speaker, I tried to describe the issue the best i can. Basically, when watching most of the videos from YT in Chrome, the image is distorted, strange flickering or smth haunts me. Something similar also happens in the Parsec app if that helps I have another phone, but i like this one, so i rly would like to solve this issue. It is an old Lenovo smartphone with android 6. | Buy a Pixel 5 or wait until the 6? Posted: 19 Apr 2021 09:46 AM PDT I have a Pixel 2 XL, and it's mostly in working condition. The camera lens cover broke, so the lens has some spots. There is other cosmetic damage, but it's superficial. I would like to upgrade, since I use my camera a lot. So the title says it all. | Some apps has problem with internet connection Posted: 19 Apr 2021 03:37 AM PDT Hi, Yesterday when I opened facebook app, it just infinite loading. I cleared cache and data still did not work, but later uninstalled and reinstalled it start working. Then the same thing happened on Youtube, and now twitter. It just keeps loading but does not refresh. I unistalled and reinstalled Twitter and started working but now the same problem occured again. | Should I get a tempered glass and back cover for my Galaxy A52? Posted: 19 Apr 2021 08:05 AM PDT I bought a new Galaxy A52 phone and it's quite a bit heavier than my previous phone. I'm wondering if adding a tempered glass and back cover would make it even heavier and bulkier to use. Also, does it matter if I buy a branded tempered glass or a regular non-brand one? | Problems with headjack adapter with OnePlus Nord Posted: 19 Apr 2021 04:18 AM PDT The OnePlus Nord doesn't have a headjack so I bought an adapter so I could listen to some music. Last month I got a notification that I could give some instructions through my wired earphones. I thought this was a good idea so I could put my volume up or down, pay the next song, ... But here's the problem. As my adapter wiggles a little bit, my OnePlus Nord thinks it is an instruction to pause the song, play the next song, ... I have searched everywhere to fix the solution or find the notification that I got to put it back but I can't find any solution. | Wifi not connected... Except it is. Posted: 19 Apr 2021 07:45 AM PDT So, I've got an old Android tablet I've wiped and am setting up for one of my daughter's friends. It's running 6.0.1. When I connect to the wifi, it bring up the little "!" next to it and I get a message that it's connected to the wifi, but can't connect to the internet. However, if I go to Chrome, it's connected to the internet and I can check stuff in real time. I've reset the tablet to factory settings, told it to forget the network and restarted the thing a few times. Any ideas? [link] [comments] |

It comes with a pleasing variety of bloatwares, including ads in its default weather app. To avoid ads, I switched to using Google's 'At-A-Glance' widget for weather updates. What are the advantages I get?? I'm looking for better performance and does the Google Play Store still exist? I heard you could overclock your processor use a rom which uses less ram and use a better camera(not sure how it works) gcam experience better? | How can I restore SD card data after formatting? Posted: 18 Apr 2021 08:13 PM PDT Title says it all. So being the idiot that I was, I went to settings > storage > portable storage> storage settings > and formatted my SD card as internal. Instead of reading the warning that tells me my data will be deleted like a normal person, I clicked "format SD card" and everything on my SD card was deleted, including some apps and a majority of photos from my gallery. I couldn't care less about those apps but I need those photos back. Are they gone forever, or is there a way I can restore them? [link] [comments] |

| Why can I not turn off automatic wifi scanning/connecting?! Posted: 19 Apr 2021 05:59 AM PDT Hi everyone. I have a very strange issue that I simply cannot solve. I have automatic scanning for, and connecting to, wifi networks turned off. However, after I turn Wifi off (when I am leaving home, etc.), inevitably my device turns Wifi back on and scans for networks when I get near my neighbor's house. I have to then turn off Wifi again, sometimes a couple times. Why is this happening?! What could I have possibly missed in my phone's settings? Any ideas? FWIW, I have a Note 10+. Thank you all! | Does pdanet+ still hide tethering when connected to a Roku Posted: 18 Apr 2021 08:10 PM PDT Hey guys, so here's the deal. I'm in-between moving spots and I'm not going to have wifi for the next couple of weeks. I'm using a Note 8 on Cricket Wireless and have the unlimited plan but I can't get the hotspot plan bc I didn't get my phone from Cricket 🤦🏽♀️ After some research for a solution I came across pdanet+. I know that you can turn on the hide tethering option when connecting phones/tablets/laptops but what I want to double check on is that if I connect my Roku to it that it will still hide the tethering. Any help would be really appreciated. I don't usually need to use a hotspot so I was unaware of this restriction about my phone (which is stupid bc obviously you can bring your own device) and I only need it for the next couple weeks so I don't want to drop a whole bunch of money on the way more expensive options. | Certain app (youtube music) just won't install on phone. Posted: 18 Apr 2021 04:55 PM PDT Hi all, I have an older phone - samsung active 6, i think, the android version is new enough that it the youtube music app SHOULD be installable on it. I've ruled out everything I can think of: a) Ive deleted play store cache and storage b) ive removed google account from phone and reinstalled it. c) ive rebooted the phone after both of above. I've tried all combinations of those 'fixes'. But everytime I try to install the youtube music app, it downloads, goes to pending, goes to installing and spins for awhile and then comes back with a generic error that it failed intsalling and to try again. Its not a space issue either as i have plenty of space, and have while failing to install YTM , installed a few other apps with no problem. The only thing left that I can think of is to do a full factory reset and then try again... but I'd really prefer not to do that because a) i have no confidence it will then work and b) its a real PITA to reset up everything and potentially lose progress/data on everything already installed. Posted: 19 Apr 2021 03:03 AM PDT I have a very-very old Android tablet with an old and partly broken custom 5.0 ROM on it, and I use it as a table clock with extra functions. I have Play Services installed on it (because I need some paid apps and calendar sync on it), but sometimes it crashes and shows the pop-up. As far as I can tell by logs something related to OCR is causing this. The thing is — there's no way I'd be able to fix the error, I've tried pretty much everything. Even microG and similar solutions are not helping — custom recovery is so old it doesn't support newer zips. So I'm just looking for some kind of band-aid what would stop a pop-up from making my clock useless for 5 minutes every day or so. Is there anything I could do? Decrease the timeout maybe, or auto close it as soon as it appears, or get rid of it entirely somehow? [link] [comments] |
