The screen wasn't responsive and there was like a weird ghosting image on the screen. I ended up buying a new cheap one. I still checked the old phone because I still haven't transferred my number. Anyways, last night I noticed that most of the issues on the old phone are now gone. Just like that. Anyone have any ideas how the screen works properly again? Or how it stopped functioning in the first place? I guess I have two phones now. Lol [link] [comments] |

| Chrome Tab Grid Layout Help on Andriod Samsung. Posted: 15 Apr 2021 12:59 PM PDT So, out of nowhere my tabs changed to grid view when I went through them. I tried to disabled it in Chrome://flags, under Tabs Grid Layout but it still shows after relaunching the app and closing it twice in a row. Why it is not changing back to the vertical layout? | After installing MSM xtended can't install other ROMs Posted: 15 Apr 2021 12:18 PM PDT Device: Poco X3 NFC TL;Dr: the title it will say failed to mount /vendor, /product and /system_root(the last one I am not sure how exactly it was named). I heard that installing stock ROM using image should solve it but I am not sure. I need a help I installed MSM xtended using twrp but I didn't like it so I wanted to go back to stock miui 12.0.8 EU. But when I went into twrp and tried it it it said "couldn't mount /vendor, /system root and /product. And when I tried to boot it went into fastboot. So I flashed stock miui using xiaomiflash or miflash don't remember how it's called and that worked. I left it be for about 5 days because I didn't have time, yesterday I wanted to flash arrow os with the ANX camera so again unlocked the phone, installed twrp tried flashing arrow os but it would again say failed to mount /vendor... So I flashed stock miui using miflash and come here. How can I fix it ? [link] [comments] |

She now has her phone back but all my texts to her fail as my phone (S10 plus) seems to think she is still on Android (the messages are blue and not green). Any help would be appreciated. I have a low-budget 8" tablet that I got this year that runs Android GO 10, and that got me wondering if it would be possible to install that same Android GO on my older tablet which has pretty similar specs. It's an Asus MeMO Pad 8 (ME181CX) running Android 4.4.2, an Intel Atom CPU Z3745 @ 1.33GHz with 1GB of RAM. I would really like to know if it's something doable, since it was a very good tablet when I bought it, and it'd be cool if I were able to make it usable again with Android GO, since right now there are a lot of apps that I can no longer install. There's just no section for them. I'm using a Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro, with Android 10 and MIUI 12.0.2, and the latest version of the Facebook app (an update didn't fix it). Thanks! It will have a keyboard (bluetooth) so I'm searching for a launcher that works more or less as a laptop. When I plug it in the charging light comes on but nothing happens and holding the power button does nothing. It's done something similar to this before but that only lasted a day or two before solving itself. Any ideas? Would really prefer not to have to replace anything or buy a new phone. | Samsung Photo Editor makes ink blurry Posted: 15 Apr 2021 10:43 AM PDT Not sure when this became an issue, but I'm seeing it on my Note 9 and Tab S7+, both on One UI 2.5. When you write on an image, and then save it, the ink becomes more blurry. It appears some low quality compression is being used. Please see the example video. The effect is similar to YouTube compression, so it's not a perfect example, but the effect is still clearly visible. The quality is unusable in my opinion. [link] [comments] |

Now that I'm leaving my job, I have to return my iPhone and renew my Project Fi service. I've read a number of S21 v. Pixel 5 reviews, but I think my phone use is so basic, that certain areas don't mean much to me. Also, just curious if people have any updates from their last bit of feedback. While I used the Pixel and iPhone side by side for over a year and argued that the Pixel is just more intuitive as a Google user, here's where I have gotten hooked on the iPhone: -Texts just work better. They're cleaner, faster, easier (minus the search being horrible) -Apps are smoother. The app experience just seems to be cleaner if that makes sense? -Simplicity -I'm just looking for a streamlined phone that does not lag -I'm obsessed with photography so the camera is most important -I don't get a new phone every year, so longevity and product support is important. The phones will have a kiosk mode app on them so that the can be locked to only use one app that will let the participants log their moods. What inexpensive Android phone should I buy? Ideally one without a removable battery. I tried buying $30 LG Journey phones from tracfone.com but after a while they started making noise and buzzing and giving error messages while in kiosk mode, even though we tried to put them in no-sound and no-vibrate mode. The mi10 spec is the base model one with 4gb ram with 64gb storage and M21 is 128 with 4gb ram. Just want good phone which would last for 3-4 year. And with better camera. Which would be better. I cannot update via OTA because I think it needs an ATT account and sim card for it to update via the ATT network but I live in Europe. | Samsung Dual Messenger can't link to WhatsApp web Posted: 15 Apr 2021 04:38 AM PDT I'm using Samsung dual messenger for 2 whatsapp numbers. Everything was working perfectly well for a long time, but for the last couple of days I can't connect a secondary whatsapp to web - clicking on "LINK A DEVICE" renders a single red notification-light blink but does not open a QR code scanner. After clicking for a few times it does not blink a red light any more and comes with a message:
Please note that this does not happen on primary WhatsApp number - everything works well and connects to WhatsApp web flawlessly. Only secondary WhatApp is affected (icon with two small circles at bottom right). [link] [comments] |
| Cannot transfer files to SD card. Posted: 15 Apr 2021 04:26 AM PDT I cannot transfer files to SD card from third party apps(even after granting permission), unless I make it the main storage in storage settings. And if I do make memory card the primary location, I cannot run twin apps(which I do need). The error that I get is "ATTEMPTED TO INVOKE VIRTUAL METHOD "android.net.uriandroidx.documentfile.provider.DocumentFile.getURI()"on a null object reference. I did have twin apps, and transferring used to work, but suddenly it doesn't. I'm not sure what has happened. Please help me out here. [link] [comments] |
| OP6 CPU usage is extremely high Posted: 15 Apr 2021 04:04 AM PDT Some time in the last 24 hours something started to hammer my CPU. I was experiencing something like -1100mA discharge rate according to AccuBattery and my cores were pretty much at maximum clock speeds according to CPU-Z. This is comparable to encoding 4k video, my normal usage is around -250mA. So far I've tried:
All of this lowered my battery drain to -600mA, comparable to running Asphalt. Whatever is going on, it's keeping my performance cores at 2800mHz all the time. If I have a crypto miner, I have no idea how it got in, or how to find it. I'm completely out of ideas and I really really don't want to do a factory reset because I can't travel to enable my banking apps again. Any help is greatly appreciated. [link] [comments] |
