| Posted: 16 Apr 2021 07:58 AM PDT I have the Galaxy S8 and I upgraded to the S21 Ultra. I thought I successfully transfer all my photos from S8 to S21, so I deleted the DCIM folder from my S8 files. I cancel the process when I realize the photos weren't transfer, but it was still too late as majority of the pictures had already deleted. I did not have these photos backed up, nor save on any clouds or SD card. Any suggestion on how I can recover the delete photos or the files? I don't care if it's bad quality. I tried disk digger. I got some pictures back, but I notice it was mainly pictures I had through other apps like email, whatsapp, etc.. [link] [comments] |
| Posted: 16 Apr 2021 10:24 AM PDT Need Urgent help!! My Moto phone lost network on a restart today. The phone did not show network at all upon restart. So far I have tried following solutions: 1: Restart (Multiple Times) 2: search Network option under Carrier network 3: reset Access point Name settings 4: Safe Mode option 5: Factory Reset Have tried option 1-4 after factory reset as well and have no success. I am stuck in a lockdown cannot leave the house. This phone is the only medium I can stay connected to people. Please help me. I have no idea what has went wrong. | Installed security patch > Lost HD Bluetooth Audio. Developer Options Force Close Posted: 16 Apr 2021 12:36 PM PDT So I got my Mi 10T Pro today. Was working perfectly and I was blown away by the performance and features until I installed the second "security patch" available. First OS update was no problem though. Was using LDAC on my Mi 10T Pro with my iFi Zen Blue. I had no problems selecting other options like LHDC-LL, AptX HD, et cetera from Developer Options either. As soon as I installed the second security patch (11 RKQ1.200826.002)
So not only is Developer Options TOTALLY inaccessible when the iFi Zen Blue is connected. I have no HD Bluetooth audio after this update because LHDC (HWA) is totally unusable even with my phone 5ft from the iFi Zen Blue... It's a brand new Mi 10T Pro and my iFi Zen Blue is about 2 months old and works perfectly with my 2 year old Huawei P30 Pro. With my Huawei I can change codecs any time I want from Developer Options, on the Mi 10T Pro, like I said, developer options just crashes instantly. If I open Developer Options and try to change settings before connecting Bluetooth, everything is reset as soon as I close the window... Has anyone else had this happen? Did Xiaomi absolutely bork HD Audio with the latest patch or something? Please someone provide a fix or some kind of information or something... Some months ago i got a brand new LG K50s with Movistar (Spanish carrier i think, I'm in Chile tho) Anyway, about a month in of using the phone and without a SINGLE time dropping it, it suddenly stops connecting to mobile network. Without apparent cause, i was sitting in my cough doing jackshit probably seeing memes and it went dead Can't do calls, connect to the internet or any related stuff The phone also doesn't its IMEI no more Wifi and Bluetooth working fine, its just the mobile network that doesn't work at all, it won't connect to anything 3g or 4g I'll do the question now and leave the story for later: I've searched far and wide for something in the internet, a custom ROM, the OG OS or whatever so try and legit reset the phone's OS with no apparent results, No one is developing for this model :'( **Is there ANY way i can take the phone's OS to legit factory state? I mean a serious, low level, absolute wipe out of the OS only to install it again? ** I no longer care about guarantee, there's covid and I'm broke so any legal actions i can take are simply not a choice The phone was not rooted or modified at any level The story if you are interested:My first remote contact with a technician was rather good, he told me at once that the phone's OS got corrupted and it ended up affecting the register/connection system preventing it from connection to mobile network Having a tech savvy background this made sense, so I took the phone to the carrier and submitted it to the technical service department Long story short the motherfuck#rs lied not once but 2 different times The report said that the phone was broken and showed signs of abuse from its owner, even going as far as saying that the phone's screen was broken THE PHONES BRAND NEW After the second time i just went straight to the manager who was just as perplex as i was and he gave me 2 solutions, either send it again or take legal actions against the company I MEAN, WTF, even the guy who took in the phone stated in the report FOR the technicians that the phone was in good conditions and showed no physical issues Anyway, i'm still very pissed with this whole thing and its been months [link] [comments] |

Posted: 16 Apr 2021 01:24 PM PDT I was VERY excited about Android releasing the ability to schedule text messages, but have been having trouble getting it to work for me - was hoping to get suggestions for how to fix?
After I type a message, do the long press on the send button, and select the date and time I want it to send, it looks like everything is good-to-go. My phone is always on data or WiFi, so there shouldn't be connectivity issues, but the scheduled time comes and goes, and the message just converts to draft mode. Anyone else dealt with this (is there another setting I need to enable, something else I'm doing wrong)? Thanks for any help! [link] [comments] |

| turn off auto capitalization in auto correct? Posted: 16 Apr 2021 11:25 AM PDT I'm trying to turn off auto capitalization for auto corrected words in Swiftkey, but it seems virtually impossible. Turning off auto capitalization alone on both swiftkey and G-board doesn't really do anything - auto correct will still replace a word with what it thinks is a word that should be capitalized. For a random example, even with it turned off, La Quinta hotel will always be corrected to - LA Quinta hotel - the keyboard thinks I want to abbreviate Los Angeles. Having to delete a word and re-type it, or manually select it in the predictions, is pretty inconvenient. Removing a word, such as "i," im," "france," etc, from the keyboard dictionary, works exactly one time, then the keyboard will start replacing them again. Is it at all possible to turn off capitalization entirely for auto correct? Because the normal options I have tried don't really work. [link] [comments] |
| Messenger doesn't respect permissions, what to do? Posted: 16 Apr 2021 11:08 AM PDT Notification permissions are off, both in the settings and in the app I disabled everything I could, it has no notification permissions but it still makes a sound when a new notification comes up. I added Messenger to Deep Sleeping apps but it also doesn't get closed when I remove the app from recents, it also doesn't get killed when I close apps with the phone care widget, I removed it's background battery and data permissions and the battery optimization is on, it still runs in the background. Only thing I can do to stop the app is manually closing it from the settings because it doesn't respect permissions. The phone is a Samsung Galaxy A52 with Android 11 One UI 3.1. What can I do about this? I need the app to be on my phone because some of my friends are only on it but I do not want it to be running when not open and in the foreground. [link] [comments] |

I have been downloading browsers from the store but I can't find any good one. And I don't like 1DM+ because it's a download manager with a browser integrated, I only really want a browser. The features I like the most of 1DM+ are, video and audio capture allowed, blocking ads, download media from any site, lightweight. Hopefully someone here could help me, thanks in advance! | Need info regarding Time Zone Updater app Posted: 16 Apr 2021 10:17 AM PDT So, I've been paranoid about viruses for the last few months and I noticed a rather peculiar app on my phone- "Time Zone Updater". I don't remember if it had any permissions or not, though, I don't think it did. It used 0% of my battery since last recharge. I uninstalled it as I saw that it could. Odd thing about it was that it said it was downloaded through "Time Zone Updater". Another thing to add, there's also a system app by the same name, though, the icons were different. One had the old android mascot from the waist up and this one has the modern mascot head. I can't provide a screenshot as I uninstalled it now, though, I'd still like to know what it was. | Posted: 16 Apr 2021 10:02 AM PDT I heard that Google was discontinuing their android Play Movies & TV app and replacing it with Google TV. Once I did more research on this, I found out that this change has only happened in the US (at least for now). Living in Canada, I found this disappointing but moved on with my life anyway. A few months later, I was going through the apps category in my settings and noticed an app called Google TV. I was excited since I thought that it had finally come to Canada. Although, when I went into my launcher, Google TV was not there but Play Movies and TV still was. After doing some digging, I found out that the app shows up as Play Movies and TV in my launcher and on the Google Play Store and it has the Play Movies and TV interface when I enter the app. Although in settings, it gets strange. If I use the general search bar at the top of the settings app, it will show up as Play Movies & TV and Google TV is not present. But if I go into the Apps section of the settings, then Play Movies and TV isn't shown but Google TV is. I went into the Google TV, app info and pressed "open" and it opened the Play Movies and TV app. I have a theory as to why this may be happening. My phone is a Samsung Galaxy S10e, running on One UI 3.0 with unlocked US firmware. Due to having US firmware but living in Canada, there are certain quirks like being on the US software update schedule for my system updates for example. My theory is that this could be another quirk of having US firmware but my phone being set up under a Canadian Google account. Although, a big hole in this theory is that I have Google Pay installed on my phone but Google Pay doesn't seem to have this issue like Play Movies and TV does. Google Pay is running on the Canadian version and this is consistent throughout the phone. Maybe it's because Play Movies & TV comes preinstalled? Also Idk if this helps but I have a Chromecast with Google TV set up through my Google Home app. Could that have something to do with it? What do you guys think about this? Also Thank you in advance. I've searched this up everywhere and everyone is saying it's just not possible. Why is this restricted? For fun? Just for jokes? I don't get it. I can set it as both my lockscreen AND homescreen, but now I can only assume my phone will blow up if I were able to set a live wallpaper as lockscreen only. But seriously, why the restriction? Normally this isn't an issue and I can just close out of the ad. However for whatever reason News Break gives itself permission to install itself without consent. I know it's not the biggest issue, but it feels like an incredible breach of privacy. I have never, don't currently, and will not ever want this app on my phone because of this sleazy behavior. These are just the normal, cheap, wired earbuds with the builtin mic and volume control on the right cord. I'm not sure what brand. My phone is the Galaxy S10e, Android version 11, One UI version 3.0. This only happens with my earbuds, not my bluetooth headphones. I have tried searching for how to disable Google Assistant, in case that is the problem, but all the solutions seem to be outdated. And I am not sure that Google Assistant is actually the problem.
