I went into Google Play and was able to uninstall and previous updates to Booking.com, but that's it and it's still on my phone. Now my phone is saying there's a vulnerability because of it though. I hate that it's taking up space on my phone for no reason at all. Is there actually a way to delete these stupid apps? [link] [comments] |

Apps + data within the apps, settings, ringtones, sms, wireless networks etc..... There's is no solution to backup everything and restore to the new phone and use it as per the old phone. Some apps doesn't like phones to be root. For iPhone, it's icloud backup is so elegant. Configure once and never again even when upgrading phones. It restores everything. [link] [comments] |
| Recovering pictures from locked Samsung Galaxy S3? Posted: 18 Apr 2021 12:11 PM PDT I have an old phone (Samsung Galaxy s3 from ATT) that I was unable to even turn on for the last 6+ years. I held onto it because a close friend of mine passed away around the time it crapped out, and every picture, video, and message I ever had with her was on this phone. Yesterday, I managed to actually get it on and to hold a charge for the first time in years, but I realized there's a password on it, and I have absolutely no idea what 15 year old me would have made it. I didn't have it linked to a Google account so I can't use the Android Device Manager program to get into it again, and when I plug it into my laptop it won't even recognize the device while it's locked. I was hoping for any advice in a last-ditch effort to try to recover these pictures without downloading software like Dr. Fone that would likely not work anyway and just ruin my computer. It would mean the absolute world to me to be able to see these pictures again after 6 years, and any help would be greatly appreciated. [link] [comments] |

Years have passed and I'd like to see some of those old entries but I cannot find the app nor any reference to its developer on my installed apps history. I cannot remember the name of the app but I do remember that it saved its data on my Google Drive, so is there something I can do to find what I wrote back then? | Big problem with Google Play Store app Posted: 18 Apr 2021 11:42 AM PDT Hi everyone, I came here for assistance with an issue that has been bugging me for weeks. Almost every time I open the Google Play Store app after a few seconds it redirects me to the home page over and over. This keeps happening even if I exit from the app and go into another app, sometimes not even closing the Play Store fixes this "forced" redirect. Plus, whenever I try to download a new app from the Play Store, it continues loading forever until the same redirecting problem happens again. I have already tried to delete cache, delete datas, deactivating and activating the app, but nothing has worked out so far. Does any of you have a solution to my issue? Posted: 18 Apr 2021 11:32 AM PDT The way the IOS does the highlight a text then a popup will appear of a copy paste speak button where itll read the text i think is really easier to have than the android's select to speak where you cant specifically highlight a text because itll read other characters on the screen. Posted: 18 Apr 2021 11:23 AM PDT In my previous post, it is assumed that my pixel 1 might have antenna disconnected 'magically' and not able to pick up any wifi and bluetooth signal. I brought it to the local repair shop, they tried, able to pick up some of the local wifi there but unable to connect, the repairman states that it might be due to the phone being verizon variant and it is gsm locked. After some time of fiddling with his simcard inside the phone apparently the phone stayed with 'emergency calls only' status or some sort, and concluded that the simcard tray might be damaged, he recommended me to do factory reset, which I did when I got home, and I am at a dead end, the phone's initial setup, asked me to have an internet connection which is a mandatory and I'm unable to proceed with the current circumstances. I tried to google but I am not sure what kind of keyword to search for example

Posted: 18 Apr 2021 09:58 AM PDT I had my OnePlus 5 since it came out and hoped it would survive a couple of months longer, but it has always had its fair share of random crashes, often when I launched discord, which might just be a weird coincidence. So today I was gonna hop onto a discord call with my phone since I couldn't join on PC for other reasons, and the phone screen got stuck on the discord logo. I then quickly turned the device off like I always do when this happens and started the rebooting process. I held down power and volume down and it started rebooting. But it didn't stop. The Android Logo pops up, and then the OnePlus Boot animation plays, but it won't stop playing and after some time it'll just start all over again on the Android Logo. The weird thing is that I can easily boot into recovery mode, or even Fastboot mode, and I have already cleared my cache through recovery mode, but nothing else has seemed to work. Whenever I reboot, it either gets stuck and reboots into the bootloop, or it just boots into recovery mode and doesn't do anything. I am running Android 8.0, I think (I never bothered to upgrade, even though the phone is capable of running newer versions of android). I haven't properly backed up ALL of my data in quite some time (my photos should be relatively safe, I think, because I've backed them up quite recently), but my other data (mainly whatsapp) has not been backed up to the cloud or an external drive. Is there anything that I could do to at least get my data back when I buy a new phone?! Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I'm gonna start backing my stuff up more in the future, but is there anything that I can do to save my data from the past?! [link] [comments] |

| Posted: 18 Apr 2021 09:47 AM PDT I'm looking to upgrade from my LG G6. I'm thinking the UFS 2.0 storage might be one of the biggest culprits as to why it feels slow. For example if I fill up the RAM with a lot of recent apps, then in one of the bigger apps, like a game or Google Maps I open a text field, the keyboard zone will appear at the bottom of the screen but I have to wait several seconds before the keyboard actually appears. This is caused by slow storage, yeah? Because the keyboard app was swapped out of RAM and had to be loaded in again? So now I'm trying to choose between phones with UFS 2.2 vs UFS 3.1 storage. Just going by the numbers, 3.1 is a lot faster. But how much of a real-world difference will it make in scenarios like my keyboard issue above? [link] [comments] |

| Posted: 18 Apr 2021 09:23 AM PDT hey, I often go through this scenario, where I receive notifications from apps and I tap on them to enter the app and check the thing out, but at the time I'd be busy to reply or take action on the spot. So after checking the notification out, naturally its gonna disappear from the notification center. Here's the problem though: as a person with adhd, the "out of sight out of mind" thing is basically my reality. See, I know that there's the native "snooze notification" feature, but the problem is that I would be snoozing that notification every 2 hours throughout the day (which is annoying) WITHOUT even knowing the full content of that notification (since I haven't tapped it to go inside that app and know what action I need to take, and sometimes it could be time-urgent and a priority but I'm just not aware of it yet). That's why I'm here to ask if there's a way that I can tap a notification, enter the app, make myself aware of its full content, but as I'm busy and leave the app deciding to come back to it later, the notification would still be there in the notification centre instead of simply disappearing. I use a Note 20 Ultra on the latest Android 11, unrooted. Any alternative suggestions would be amazing (perhaps a way to convert a notification to a To-Do task in apps like Google Keep, Calendar, Microsoft To-Do, etc.?) That would also be a solution since I constantly keep an eye on my to-do list and I got widgets on my home screen puttin them right on front of my eyes. [link] [comments] |
